I purchased this lesson from Jamie’s website a few days ago and just “finished” learning the intro. As an intermediate guitarist, I assumed I would just download the tabs and ignore the video lessons. I was wrong.
Jamie is a PHENOMENAL teacher. His explanations of both the techniques and individual notes are slow enough that you can easily follow along without being too long that you find yourself skipping through the video. Each lesson is also broken down into easily digestible sections WITH the corresponding section of tab below the video so you can see both at the same time. Not cheesy scrolling tabs within the video, but the video and static tabs for the section on the same page. Genius.
If you’re on the fence about buying his lessons: do it. You will not regret it. It’s clear how much time and effort he put into them. I can guarantee when I finish this one I’ll be buying more.
I know this sounds like a paid promotion, but I simply cannot get over how surprised and impressed I am with the format, content, and quality of this lesson. We’ll done, Jamie. You have a life-long student.

Wow Jay thank you so much for this amazing testimonial!! You really put thought into this and I’m so pleased you have been finding the course so helpful! Really do appreciate you spreading the word mate!
I do have one request - this is such a a well thought out and glowing review that I’d love for others to see it. However, comments on RUclips tend to get buried amongst all the jokes and newer comments so would you maybe consider just copying and pasting this to trustpilot so that others can be sure to see it? You’ve done the hard part of actually writing it - posting it on trustpilot only takes a few seconds (you don’t need an account or anything). Just go to trustpilot, search Jamie Harrison guitar, click write review, enter your name, and voila ☺️
Thank you so much brother and I’m so Happy to have you! :)

If anyone is hesitant to buy the lessons from Jamie, then take it from someone who was in your place a week or so ago.. JUST DO IT. I, like many, believed that I already could play Slow Dancing in a Burning Room quite well and that I didn't need lessons. That said, I decided to purchase the lesson anyway, and was immediately floored with how precise and technical his lessons were. There are hours of videos filled with a comprehensive analysis of every note in the song. Not to mention, he throws in some invaluable tips as well to improve any level of guitar playing. Tips which are easily transferrable to numerous other aspects of guitar playing.. this guy is the real deal. He breaks down the song and shows all the subtle tricks that really gives JM some of his tone. I highly recommend his lessons to anyone who wants to improve their guitar playing and learn some of JMs subtle tonal features.

I have watched this video a countless number of times but I’ve never commented; I can’t tell you how overcome with nostalgia this cover makes me every time, man. The song itself might bring you tears but this rendition of it will leave you bawling. This was my mom’s favorite song to hear us play, so I can’t help but cry when I play it even 14 years later. @@heyya4307 So I've definitely continued playing since then. I actually do come back to this course from time to time. It also really helped nail down a lot of licks that Mayer uses and licks that can be applied anywhere. I still try to play every week at least. When I purchased the course I was at a different job and had a lot more time to play (several hours a week) and now that's reduced to 20-30 min/week if that. Hope to play more in the future but still love it and continue to buy gear at least lol. I'll also mention that I have played live, but I am really just a hobbyist and play with friends occasionally but mostly by myself in my house.

I found this video searching for a good "Slow Dancing" lesson. What struck me at first was the video, the accuracy, and the amazing sound that was coming from the guitar. I clicked into the lesson to find Jamie's website. Like most of you, at first I was totally hesitant to buy a lesson when there are PLENTY of lessons on how to play this song. But, I was still struggling to play the song the way I wanted with the free stuff. Once I got to the site, I was surprised to actually connect with Jamie live on his site (he has a "chat with me" link). I asked several questions which quickly helped me understand this lesson was totally LEGIT!!!. He wasn’t pushing the lesson on me, he wasn’t trying any sleazy marketing tactics, he wasn’t saying ‘this is for everyone’ just to get my money.
Plus, I read the lesson description - the lesson comes with extra content like - rig suggestions for any budget, 14 up close videos, a full description of the rig he used to a record the material, a 15 page tutorial that provides legit commentary on the song, of course - tabs (both chords and note for note transcription) and plenty of extra material like how to record your sound on a computer. So I thought... why not??? Well friends.... this is as close you'll ever get to truly understand HOW JM plays this song. AND... to my surprise (mostly due to Jamie's ability to clearly show and communicate what he's doing), ITS LEARNABLE! I'm halfway through the first couple solos and while its no where near Jamie, it sounds and more important feels great! Fantastic work... I've already upgraded my purchase to the entire bundle. No clue when I'll get to the other stuff, but it's content you just can't find online for free. AWESOME STUFF!!!!!
