The updated version with the ceramic bezel and updated high grade 2892 based Longines exclusive movement is truly a bargain even at full retail. Its wear and looks amazing on the new rubber strap/deploy combo. What many don't know is that Longines watches are still made in the same factory since the beginning of the company over 100 years ago. Furthermore, the high grade ETA based calibers were codeveloped with ETA and are actually produced onsite at the Longines factory by ETA. Hamilton for example, although great watches are made in various facilities. There is no official Hamilton factory. Whatever the business model is at Longines, I am happy as it provides us watch geeks with the ability to purchase an extremely high quality watch for a very low price. These watches are made as well as any 5k plus watch.

Got the exact same one over 5 years ago and still love it. My first diver, more followed after, less or more expensive. None of them feel as solid as the Hydro. Alu bezel has faded a little but that adds to its character. Wear it diving or as a dressy piece, no problem. It has a James Bond feel lol! BTW: that colour has been described as midnight blue. Gorgeous.

I got mine also used for a steal but got it serviced for nearly the same amount lol. Since then it runs perfect 👍 It has its flaws (lume, bracelet) but right now I have it on a sailcloth strap…and it’s simply perfect! The dimensions of it are the best! Still love it after 3 years It has a permanent place in my collection. I used it diving or clubbing it always is a great choice.

Classy but subdued, tooly enough not to be afraid to wear it, quality build, nice sizes available. No picture does it justice. I'd buy it on the bracelet, but put it on rubber/canvas.
