I have the previous version also in blue and I think they are unbeatable IMO. There are a lot of competitors but this one is my fav on it’s price range.
I've always been a fan of the HydroConquest. The date window isn't a total deal breaker for me, but I'd be super interested to see a dateless, or, gasp, a 4:30 date window and a large '3' applied. Just to see what that would look like aesthetically. I don't know what it is, though, I'm just not compelled enough to buy one. It's a well made watch, but I like me some quirk. This watch is too "safe" for lack of a better word.
Little biased as I own the non-GMT version, but 100% agreed. The big numerals are charm of this piece undoubtedly but with one flaw of unsymmetrical dial with small date window. I fixed it by installing a cyclops on my watch but I wish the new iteration kept the numerals maybe at 3,9,12 and added a bigger date window at 6 kinda like the new Mido Multiport TV.
There is no such thing as a watch that fits everybody's tastes, there is a watch for each taste! I was not interested in Longines before until I saw the watch in person! I was gifted the Hydroconquest recently and it's my favourite watch and Longines is now my favourite brand too! I like the big numerals and the big crown guard as they make the watch look unique ! tastes are subjective anyway
I have both the 1st and 2nd gen Hydroconquest. The 2nd gen is a much better watch imo. Cleaner dial, ceramic bezel, more brushed surface area, 72 hr power reserve. If Longines can get rid of the oversized crown guards and PCL, improve the clasp it would be the perfect do it all dive watch 4me.
Only thing that should be improved in the next generation of Hydroconquest is clasp, bracelet and rubber band also, so you don’t need to cut it anymore to fit the wrist size, everything else is perfect, i like big numerals and big crown guards, that gives a watch strong identity and looks different than other watches… and new colors would be nice to see.
I’m sorry but with respect I don’t see many , if any , changes.as far as first generation many people like the little red arrow on the second hand. I have found that stainless steel bezel is stronger than ceramic which can be quite prone to cracking.i just don’t agree with you that the new hydroconquest is just better ? If you want to split hairs, perhaps..to me, they are almost identical..
the newest edition of hydroconquest is a flop, the 2nd version is so distinctive with the 6912, but they took it all away to make a watch that looks some cheap alternative to the most famous dive watch
Longines makes great watches. I love the is the Conquest and the Zulu. Great video. Thanks Abdullah.

Great video! Agree 100 percent. It’s a diver and gets important things right. Also in 3 sizes that’s unheard of.

Just received mine in black 41mm on the black strap. Watch is absolutely stunning in hand video and pictures do not do it justice.

Exactly! Totally agree!
Just picked up the 43mm with ceramic bezel. Looking for a rubber strap to get for it!

The new Hydroconquest GMT is inspired by the old Longines Admiral 200
The first one looks more appealing. The second one has a lot spaces in its dial which kinda looks mehh...

The black bay looks more like a submariner than the hydroconquest what are you talking about
