I loved Hook as a kid. And then a few years ago watched it again as an adult with my kids and I cried multiple times because certain things just hit different as an adult when you have children of your own.
This is exactly my story too man 😭
im about to watch it and even the thought of it is making me well up. powerful movie. powerful message. robin williams was a fuckin treasure
I completely agree. I used to watch this movie with my niece at least a hundred times or more when she was a toddler. She could barely speak full sentences but she knew how to pick up a ball, toss it to my dad and say "PLAY!" And then when he would start chasing her around the room she would say "You're doing it Peter, you're using you're imagination." 😂
I watched this movie on tv three months after turning 3 years old in late 1993 which almost three years later after this movie premiered in theaters, best movie ever, hope it never becomes part of the list of tv and movie reboots thats happening right now, it perfect like it is and will a all time classic 4ever
Man. I bet it was a beautiful moment. Very meaningful. I hope one day to do the same thing with my children.
Robin Williams is in the real Neverland waiting for the Lost Boys to join him.
Yes in heaven
Yes.
That comment just slayed my heart
If Robin Williams is really dead he’s either in Heaven or hell! Ps.... look up Gene Kim on RUclips!!!!!!
Absolutely in heaven 🙏
How is it that Dante's voice hasn't changed one bit?
From Rufio to Zuko to Jake Long up to the present, his voice is still the same.
Right, he even had a cameo in The Fresh Prince of Bel-air. He sounded damn near the same. Lol!!!
I giggled a bit because “from Rufio to Zuko” is actually the name of Dante’s autobiography
His voice in the peter pan movie was already changed post puberty? So that’s why I assume its the same years later, as he already had his adult voice. The other lost boys were alot younger.
Some people's voice don't age like others, just as some people appear to age more than others.
I thought the exact same thing. He obviously had his voice at max level in Hook.
Lol.
I wish Robin was here
Don't we all!
Same
I would've quit my job to be there
@@jamesr130 same
@@rosedawson2355 just came on the disney channel i teared up several times watching it lol
Pan may be gone, but the Lost Boys remain. BAGARANG!!!!
The pan will never be gone !
BAGARANG!!!
!!BANGARAAAAANG!!
BANGARAAAAANG!!
‘There you are Peter.’ My favourite line in that movie to this day.
Very rarely was this movie accepted in middle ground. Everyone i knew either a absolutely loved it or absolutely hated it. I love it so much.
How anyone could hate this move is beyond me lol ain’t no friend of mine! 😂
@@HELLOkitty90210 dude facts.
I liked it, it's my childhood. Although I heard Steven Spielberg wasn't too happy with it, don't know why, I thought it was enjoyable
The haters are literally Peter Banning, the people that have lost their "Pan!". That's the irony.
@@neutonikharmonix Seriously it's such an uplifting film full of wonder and excitement, the world of Neverland comes to life so vividly the sets are amazing the action is amazing the storyline and plot progression is fantastic, it's so well made it's incredible.
Not a single stale moment in the film and not one unnecessary or overly long scene, it all fits in together so well it really is amazing.
One of the best films I've ever seen and I've seen over 400 different films at least.
man ..... even as a grown man ... just hearing the intro got me goosebumps all over... i watched it probably over a 1000 times when i was younger.
RIP Robin... your memory will live forever in people like me.
I just balled like a baby. I think this finally allowed me to grieve for Robin Williams. He was a MASSIVE part of my childhood. Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, Aladdin.....
I OWNED those movies, and as kids in the 90's, we only had a few movies, that's how it was for everyone.
R.I.P man. I will miss you to the day I die.
I am now 54 but my children grew up with the Aladdin. Robin is greatly missed in our family. One of the few actors that greatly bothered me when he passed and still does
One of Robin's most memorable movies and my personal favorite. Great to see the lost boys all grown up...Thank you for believing 🙏 ❤
You're very welcome. Thanks for being a fan! More fun things to come!
yeah my 1 fav robin williams movie
Dante went from the oldest looking to the youngest looking in that group shot
One of if not the best movie ever created
Hahaha I mean I loved hook as a kid but my God to say it's the greatest movie ever made borders on insanity.
Saw it on Blu-ray at Walmart for 5 bucks. Bought it and watched it with my son that night. I acually wore our VHS out as a kid.
My favorite childhood film. Made my day seeing this. Too bad Robin couldn’t be here for it.
@@rexx8887 read what I said again clown and try to understand it.
@@rexx8887 Start thinking for urself and don't let other people think for you. Maybe one day you can be educated
We have this film on dvd, and a couple of weeks ago, my daughter of 3 wanted to watch this movie... since then, she almost watched it every day... she crows, she says "Rufioooooo", its so awesome to see her enjoy a movie from when I was a kid 🤘
Its sad we lost both Robin Williams and Bob Hoskins in 2014
We didnt lose them. They just went to Neverland
Sad? Yes, but people expire eventually.
Too bad Robin Williams and Bob Hoskins are not here to watch their movies
@@GetToDaChoppa-k5r did you eat a bag of salt that morning?
This is so precious. Re watching this again. My heart got flutters at 4:12 I started tearing up. The feels but also I miss Robin Williams. I am so happy they did these reenactments!
I got like that - at exactly the same moment. Robin Williams death is one that will always have a weight on my heart. He legitimately was my favourite actor of all time.
I have so much of my child memories with them..... I almost cried after seeing them all together again.... Missing the late.robie williams
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, I remember when it came out in theaters and how popular it was. Can't believe how quickly the years have gone by. Now I get to watch it with my kids. 1991 was a great year.
Just watched this movie the other night with my son. Seeing Robin still makes me cry. Feels like it was just yesterday that we lost him. And to lose both his and Bob's talent in the same year? Heartbreaking. I'm so glad these lost boys have the wonderful memories of making this movie.
How did you not cry because the movie was so touching and good, you didn't even know Robin Williams.
I leaned on this movie growing up as a child. My mom and dad were divorced before my second birthday. I had the added bonus of my dad striking a startling resemblance to Pan. I would watch this movie on vhs over and over thinking he would fly back into our lives 💔 Rufio and I have something in common, we both wish we had dads like you.
Rest In Peace Robin Williams.
You will forever be missed.
Bro why do you have to pull my hear strings like that
I remember getting out of High school in 2014 , graduated of course, I was in LA for vacation and I found out that Robin Williams Died. 😔. Went and visited his Star on the Hollywood strip .
I grew up watching hook and yes these kids they are the childhood heroes and I love them all they are amazing Steven Spielberg mastermind genius
This is one of my all time favorite movies. The nostalgia is so strong with this one for a lot of us. The music and sets and dialogue is just on point.
It was nice of them to bring back the kid who played young Peter too even though he didn't interact with the other actors. Makes me kind of wish we got to see that in one of the flashbacks.
Holy this gave me chills when they played the dinner music
One of the greatest movies of all time, one of my childhood faves
Why am I crying? The 90s made me feel so magical as a kid.
To see this and feel your heart skip a beat makes you realize you always remained a member of the lostboys yourself, boys and girls alike.
Lucky millenials is what we are.
Lets not cry because its over, lets smile that we got to be there and be part of it.
P.s
Could have been nice if Dustin and Julia made it there and step in for Robin. To bad
Reminiscing of those times we stay up and rewatch this movie countless times with cassettes. If only life can rewind time
I Remember This movie I was 13 years old in 1991 I love 💕 this movie Rest in Peace 🕊 Robin Williams 😥😢
What was life like in the 90’s?
These. These are the Lost Boys. Loved this movie when I was a teenager and love it still to this day.
R.I.P Robin. A huge anchor in my life. And hearing him go like this just makes me think I wasn’t all wrong. I’ve always battled the same type of problems so knowing one of my heroes pulled the trigger is so conflicting. No matter what you did or why I will still always love you for the messages you instilled in my heart.
The first time I watched hook was in 1993 on my fifth birthday...I fell absolutely in love with Rufio and cried my eyes out when he died!!! This movie was just one of the many great ones from my childhood that I love and adore🥰🥰🥰
Bro, I went through all the stages of grief after watching that movie lol
This wonderful film rocked my childhood and I always watch it with as much passion! Thanks you for making us live this moment 25 years later! BANGARANG!!
This movie ALWAYS gets me in the feelings. Everytime without fail. I remember seeing the movie debut in Tokyo. It was something else. The movie was played in English but with Japanese subtitles. Best movie experience ever. 🧚🏼♀️
I remember when I was 5 years old being able to know exactly when the happy thought scene starts by looking at how much tape was rolled up on the left and right of the VHS 📼 .
Damn they all grew up to be such cool ppl lol
Well they are the lost boys after all
The Lost Boys grew up, but never changed. They’re still children inside, just like Peter. The adventures will continue on. Neverland lives forever in our hearts. 🥺😭👏🏼
Why does this make me smile and cry?
Lets admit it, we are all lost boys. We grew up in a time where kids were the focus of everything. Nickelodeon and Disney were our gospel, and we were allowed to have fun and be ourselves. I dont think you can ever out grow that, probably why our generation has the biggest nostalgia feelings.
I guess neverland has done these lost boys wonders! I can still recognize everyone, that’s how young they still look 🤣👏🥰
Watched it with my 4 year old daughter. She loves it just as much as I did although i was more around the age of 10/12 when i first saw it at the cinema. Still as the first time i watched it. Its strange how it does make you choke up a little as an adult. Spielberg was so good. Empire of the Sun is without doubt still my favourite movie of all time.
The Beginning Music haunts me till this day so powerful..such a nice memory of my childhood
One of my favorite movie when I was a kid..
Omg!! Without Robin I’m crying right now. Good to see the Lost Boys again ❤️❤️
Robin Williams would’ve been so proud of each and everyone of them, may God rest his soul.
When I was a little girl I had a massive crush on Rufio. My dad loved this movie so to watch it was a win for us both 😆
I absolutely love this movie and how you can see the faces of all the boys in the grown up faces when they smile!
The "Lost Boys" have kids?! You have all made our childhood better! Thank you for "The Happy Thawts"! Peter Pan is in Neverland waiting for new adventures! We miss you, Robin 💔 !
R.I.P Robin Williams (1950-2014)
First saw this movie in bits and pieces when my brother and I went to day camp, some 18 years ago!!!!!!! Then when I was around 20 thanks to RUclips I discovered it again!!! I just cannot wait until I have children so that I can share these timeless classics with them. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I for one was really pleased the twins decided to come back for the reunion. Despite they were only extra lost boy characters they were among my favourites as I'm also also twin 🤟
This movies is everything! makes you cheer cry and remember not to grow up too much!!Thanks to all involved.
Gosh I missed all of them.
Rip Robin Williams.
This is always my favorite movie.
I am thankful I grew up to this!
🙂
You'll never believe how happy I am watching this.
My kids will definitely watch HOOK!!!
Dantes voice must have already dropped by the time they filmed because theirs no other explantation for his voice staying exactly the same from rufio to zuko
Only two lost boys are missing Jasen Fisher who played Ace and Alex Zuckerman who played Latchboy. though Fisher was at the reunion briefly at the beginning you can see in the recreation shot. Hopefully next year we will get the whole lost boy crew for Hook's 30th Anniversary.
Jasen had to leave early but he was there. Sadly, Alex did not want to participate. But everyone had a blast!
22 Vision I know I mentioned that in the comment 😊
It some ways it was convenient that Alex was the only lost boy who did not attend the reunion since is it was easy to cut him out of the recreation shot. If it had been any other of the lost boys the recreation shot would have been more difficult to do. because it would have been harder to cut any of the other guys out of the photo.
Favorite movie of all time. Just watched it a day ago. Still just as beautiful
I remember as a kid, my parents for my birthday took me to see Hook and for a present I asked for Mega Man 4. I honestly remember it like it was yesterday. God bless the cast, Robin Williams.... and the first mermaid Stephanie Furst because man, that smile? Yes lmao.
I watched Hook over Christmas break. Such great childhood memories!
My absolute favourite childhood film. God this brings back so many memories
I was 3 years old when this movie came out, and I had a crush on Ryan Francis throughout the 90s because of his role as teen Peter lol.
Me too!
Even to this day, we will never forget what Robin has done for the world
Guess I needed a bit of a cry today. A tear for every happy thawt? 😺
Thanks for participating in the project y’all.
Rest in peace to my all time favourite actor. The world is a less happy place without you Robin Williams
Hook was always my favorite movie as a kid. Made me want to become a Lost Boy even though I wasn't a boy. I always fantasized I was in that version of Neverland when I'd play Peter Pan as a child not the Disney's version. Rufio was first crush too when I first saw Hook. I gasped when Hook stabbed him and cried when he says "Do you know what I wish? I wish I had a dad like you." I didn't have a dad in my up bringing for while so when he said that it got to me. Especially since I saw Robin Williams as a father figure and as Rufio was dying he saw him as a father figure too.
Hook also was the second Robin William's film I saw as a kid and I loved him in it. As an adult now when I watch it it's even more emotional seeing Robin and especially at the end when he says "To live will be in awfully big adventure. " R.I.P Robin
Robin really was the heart and soul of our childhood.
This was pure nostalgic and full of magic 🥲
You all made my childhood full of bright imagination and I literally have hook on VHS still watch that occasionally because it was one of the most captivating movies ever out together that caught the essence of a child's wildest dreams on a film thank you for influencing my childhood so deeply ⭐⚡♥️♦️😘😋🤪😄
Greatest of the greats
Hurt like a ton that picture in the very end. Love you, Robin! =,)
I just rewatched the movie last night and it still holds up!!
Siskel and Ebert, one of the two, gave it a thumbs down. I think it was Ebert.
I'll never understand why. It was so well done, so beyond perfect. I bought the video cassette and watched it many, many times. I love that movie. It was magical. One perfect movie.
Such cute young kids. ❤😊
Never to be forgotten.
They all grew up to be such handsome men!
This will always remain my favorite film made ❤
Every single one of these guys are great memory
It is so awesome seeing the Lost Boys all grown up. But seriously, does Dante Bosco have a fountain of youth he can access? Because he hardly looks like he aged.
It is still heartbreaking that Robin couldn't be there with his Lost Boys. I hope he flew to Neverland and found peace there.
Thank you for believeing...
Wow, this is my childhood this is my life this is my love. This must’ve been a treat for them to return. Rest in power Robin Williams aka Peter Pan!!!
I had this movie for a long time recorded onto VHS from tv with some of the adds that were also accidentally recorded. An old fav for sure. My favourite part is the lost boys dinner feast and Peter steps to Rufio!
My favorite childhood movie. This was awesome
One of my childhood favourites😢
Having only Peter fly was the right choice, it made the moment more magical when he remembered how to fly
My god, this is beautyful! Growing up doesn't mean that you can't be a kid anymore.
My favourite movie when I was a kid. Love this guys!
I just can't watch Hook or Mrs. Doubtfire anymore.
Watch them for the memory of Robin Williams. I sure as hell do, I honor Robin Williams by enjoying and watching these wonderful movies. Also introducing these movies to new generations of kids. Because they actually watch to people I introduced the films too. Gotta build the hype and such
I cried watching the OG Aladdin with my son, who is 5.
I just couldn't get thru it after hearing his voice & the line about wanting so bad to be free. It was too much.
To be honest the more of Robin I watch the more it becomes sad and clear. In my opinion he had an identity crisis. So with the many great roles and powerful messages he portrayed, he just lost himself in translation. Something that great actors like Tom hanks, Bradd Pitt etc. can fall victim to. In the end I don’t think his mindset could take all the influence he was getting opposed to who he thought he was as a person. I’m just blowing smoke up my ass but I really think he was a depressed person but strived to uplift people in the same boat. In the end he gave in, but for someone like me he really gave me hope. That’s what I think anyway. And that’s what I’ll continue to believe.
“It’s not your fault”
When Robin Williams passed, I decided to finally watch 'Dead Poets Society' ánd 'What Dreams May Come', both movies starring Robin with the subject of suicide heavily printed into it (especially into the second one, with the character of Robin actually physically visiting heaven and hell). It was tough to watch, but I enjoyed both movies back to back. Tears to my eyes, bawling out completely, I experienced it all, but I'm glad I did. Love those movies.
I can watch his other movies tho
5:57 No Hook video is complete without a nod to Robin Williams....
I miss Robin Williams.
The world has become much sadder ever since Robin Williams passed away.
This movie made me a better person, that's how you know a movie is good.
I cried!!! This is so sweet! 'HOOK' is one of my favorite movies!
I miss Robin Williams 😥🥺😩He was my favorite actor.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful and beautiful video! All lost boys looks pretty much the same! They didn't change much. ☺😊😄
Warm regards and God bless you all! 😇☺
3:20 Glad we still have young Peter Pan in this reunion! R.I.P. Robin Williams. Pan The Man
Does anyone have a full version of the song at the end of this movie? I love it, I keep playing it on and on because I can't find a full version, my favourite part is at the end: "Neverland is home to lost boys like me and lost boys like me are free". I have to admit I always drop a tear from my eye when I hear that part, because it reminds me of my childhood. It was the most beautiful time of my life, a time that will never comeback and that makes me cry. I would like to listen to that song in my car on my way to work and back just to feel better. Would be also great to listen to it next to a fireplace and remind myself how it felt to be a kid back in the days. Ah, Nostalgia...
Gosh! Robin Williams....why did you leave us? 😢😭
I'm going to be 60yrs old in the future and hear that Skrillex song and think of rufio and just screaming "BANGARANG!" And my grandkids will never know unless I show them this masterpiece...
I miss Robin Williams. I loved him so much growing up.
Le premier film que j'ai vu au cinéma ❤️ a jamais dans mon coeur
This movie was made before I was born, but it's forever a classic in my books.
Wow! The Lost Boys grew up and they all look very handsome! 😍
such an underrated masterpiece
"To die would be a great adventure!" Robing Williams(Peter Pan) RIP!
