These are some of the best tutorials i've come across for any subject. The pace and tone is spot on, the instructions are clear and humorous. Hat is well and truly off.
Thank God i found you. There are just a few C4D with Arnold tutorials out there and you are the best. Im going to do all your tutorials. I was about to give up because i ran out of ideas, now u opened me a new world of possibilities. Keep doing this tutorials, i'll be here to listen to every single word you say.
Thanks, Daniel. Great and funny tutorial. Not sure if you'll see this, or someone else will, but when I complete the steps for the connect function and click initialize, my sphere actually shrinks to nothingness. If I pull the strength in the mesh deformer back to zero, it begins to get back to it's size. I'm using R21, so I have a feeling something's changed? I'm sure I followed every step. Can anyone help? Thank you!
@@DanielDanielsson I've got the exact same problem using R19. Mesh deformer shrinks the sphere down to nothing, Lowering the deformer strength scales the sphere back up again. so its like its deforming all points equally. any clues??
For this one it's just three lights: one very large cool quadlight to the left, one small blue disc-light behind the pineapple, and one red one off to the right. Then rendered with Atmospheric Scattering in Arnold.
as always your tutorials are AWESOME. but I was thinking... could you make a tutorial on how you make those bg lights? even if you render the "boké" lights in Octane or some shit like that. there must be a way to do something similar in stock cinema 4d...
I've just released it now - ruclips.net/video/mDQA-zpuQZQ/видео.html I left it up to a vote, and people wanted the Pineapple over the Bun, so this tut came first!
Hello, it's really cool, I have a dude, in my C4d when you use Radom effect, I have other options in the falloff window but I don't know how to change that.
Oh no doubt! Just drop it in as an effector on the MoExtrude. Maybe try adding it before the Random Effector and turning up the 'Weight' parameter on the Sound Effector, that might be pretty sweet!
Hey Daniel, thanks a lot for your great tutorial. I could follow very easily until the point where you replace the sphere to the connect objects in the mesh cage (5:47 min). When I put the connect object into the cage and delete the sphere the memory shows 0 kb. Did I miss one step? Thanks for any help in advance!
Hey Daniel, in your original preview how did you make the ripple effect? Was it a gradient shader in a displacer? Or a formula? Trying to figure it out :P
Ciao io ho un problema , quando uso l'emettitore in C4d e vadoa renderizzare non mi renderizza tutti gli oggetti generati dall'emettitore ! C'è forse una impostazione nel render ?
You should be able to do something similar in Standard or Physical using the "Invert Direction" option on the Ambient Occlusion shader. Then add a "Colorizer" effect on top of that to control the colour. How to use Inverted Ambient Occlusion: ruclips.net/video/zSuhHlqabGA/видео.html

"Well, ladies and gentlemen, that's when the *fucking* mesh deformer comes in" - actual lol
"that's where we add the f@#king mesh deformer"
this guy is so entertaining to watch WHAT A LEGEND

Good. Strong.
LOL!!! fucking love your style man. You can take a simply "make it blobby" tutorial, and make it fucking awesome. haha 10/10
0:50 "some weird and wacky morphing shit"
I like the way you introduce Xpresso everytime, it's so funny~~!! I love Xpresso actually.
Your tutorials are always mind blowing dude, I'm so hyped for ur c4dtoa ones
Nice! Good to know people are into the Arnold!
Dude, you're making best tutorials ever. Thank you so much!
Thank you! :)
im sure you have the funniest c4d tutorials
Man, you're always spot on with your tutorials. Hope to see more from you. Thanks a lot Daniel
I like your opening graphic and music so much...
Credit goes to to Ice Cube for the music, but I can take full cred for the opening graphic! :)
the FUCKING mesh deformer im fucking dead haha dude youre a legend
YOUR AWESOME!!! NEED TIME TO STUDY ALL YOUR TUTORIAL
You made this video on my birthday, i love you.
Btw great tutorial! :D
Well happy birthday then! :)
(a few months late)
You really have some of the best tutorials! Thank you so much, they are very helpful for beginners like me.
Thanks, Daniel. The problem seems to be in re-enabling MoExtrude. It seems to do that for some reason...?
Glad you may have found a fix!

Can't wait next tutor
That was simply awesome. well done! u make it look so effortless but it just shows how much work u put in producing those. #nextleveltutorials
Really cool stuff man, keep it up. I've learned a lot from your videos so far.
Haha, thanks man! I can tell from your image. ;)
Daniel Danielsson ;)
The most delicious pineapple i've ever seen! Awesome as always!
I wouldn't try to bite down on it though... >_
Daniel Danielsson :D
目前为止,见过最好的教学视频,没有之一,可惜我用的是3ds max,不过还好,原理相通。thanks for share!
best tutorials ever
That is f**king awesome video.thanks so much.
Yay New Tutorial
Well Ladies and gentelman: Thats where the fukin mesh deformer comes in
It may have been take four or five of the voice over… XD
Thanks for another great tutorial man :D GJ!
This Material would be interesting to have a look at as well! :)
I'll go through some of it this Saturday. :)
Damn, your tutorial is informative and entertaining!
Hi, Daniel, nice tutorial and can you make a tutorial on setting up environment and camera?
For this one it's just three lights: one very large cool quadlight to the left, one small blue disc-light behind the pineapple, and one red one off to the right. Then rendered with Atmospheric Scattering in Arnold.
Used Arnold so they were:
Camera (AA) Samples : 4
Diffuse Samples : 0 (max : 0)
Glossy Samples : 16 (max : 16)
Refraction Samples : 4 (max : 4)
Total (no lights) : 24 (max : 24)
Atmospheric Scattering Samples : 4
All lights default samples I think.
thats great. thank you sir.
Cool and a great mike.
Amazing
Awesome as always! Svensk möjligtvis? Thanks for this
Damn Daniel!
could you make tutorial on particles environment shown in this video ??
waouw, I like the way you talk with, it's freaking maaaaaad
as always your tutorials are AWESOME. but I was thinking... could you make a tutorial on how you make those bg lights? even if you render the "boké" lights in Octane or some shit like that. there must be a way to do something similar in stock cinema 4d...
Just luminant spheres cloned on the surface of a bigger sphere, then made out of focus in AE!
Thanks!
You are just awesome.
Wonderfull !!! what an inspiration !
Super!
WOW!
Excellent! Thank you! BTW, where is that texture tutorial you referenced?
I've just released it now - ruclips.net/video/mDQA-zpuQZQ/видео.html
I left it up to a vote, and people wanted the Pineapple over the Bun, so this tut came first!
Awesome, thanks again. You are kicking ass dude.
Hello, it's really cool, I have a dude, in my C4d when you use Radom effect, I have other options in the falloff window but I don't know how to change that.
Sounds like you're in a newer C4D's with fields instead of regular falloff. But I think you can use "Field Objects" the same way as old falloff.
yes !
Since you have shared two technique, can I give two likes?
You can try, but I think the second Like one just Unlikes again... XD
Amazing tutorial! Could you do some stuff on redshift? I feel like there isn't much online and I'd love to see your take on redshift renderer in C4D
cool Tutorial!
how can you combine it with sound effector?
Oh no doubt! Just drop it in as an effector on the MoExtrude. Maybe try adding it before the Random Effector and turning up the 'Weight' parameter on the Sound Effector, that might be pretty sweet!
Awesome tutorial as always! Will you be going over the shading in Arnold? I'd love to see the node editor for that mat :P
Oh yeah, at least the glowey bit in the 'Bun' tutorial next week!
the best.
I know this is an old video but I still want to finish it ,is that possible since they discontinued expresso in cinema 4d? is there a workaround?
Xpresso is still in every version of C4D that I know of. 🤷♂️
5:20 you most likely missed the first initialize... this is what i did and when i went back and did it again it worked out :)
When I add random effector nothing happens... fusszy thing does not appear... I use R19.024....
Hey Daniel, in your original preview how did you make the ripple effect? Was it a gradient shader in a displacer? Or a formula? Trying to figure it out :P
Plain effector with polygon deformation and a linear falloff with an up and down curve in the falloff. Then I just moved it across!
Daniel Danielsson thanks!
Did you go to a school to get started? If so, which one?
Keep up the great tutorials! :)
Only if you count the school of Videocopilot… XD
创意非常棒,磁性声音也非常好听。
谢谢!
I love you.
just felt like i should let you know.
by the way good editing in the videos
When I replaced the low-res sphere with the connector in the cage and press calculate it doesn't do anything... ;(
I want know how make that awesome backgound!
Those are just many tiny spheres in the background, then way out of focus in After Effects!
I think i made it xD
Using many tiny spheres + tracer + out of focus ! like you told me !
Thx a lot !
imgur.com/tHbDsNz
on my falloff window is nothing there? not sure if i forgot a step or its a bug or ...?
genius!!
your a boss
love your voice and your videos to.
love u
Fã numero 1 😉 espetacular!
Ciao io ho un problema , quando uso l'emettitore in C4d e vadoa renderizzare non mi renderizza tutti gli oggetti generati dall'emettitore ! C'è forse una impostazione nel render ?
damn! im not good in english, but you do it pretty good, like it!
my brain explodes :D
when i do the random effector it makes like square parts rather than pointy like yours
how did you made those startrails?
That'd be like this: ruclips.net/video/mFwwG9y0Wm8/видео.html
Who did the audio? It's so good as well!
It is very nice. Created by a guy called Ola at a Swedish company called Underton: www.underton.com/
I just watched the intro film again. The audio just fits really perfectly into the great 3D video. Awesome job!
But how to use Octane render this animate? It confused me so much.
There should be a Dirt Shader (or something like it) in Octane which does what the Curvature Shader does in Arnold.
Cool men but I miss rendering a d texture as well:(
I kind of cover it in this video: ruclips.net/video/mDQA-zpuQZQ/видео.html
Just use a blue gradient instead of the hot yellowish orange!
Daniel Danielsson thanks! But you use arnold :( I don't know this render engine, I use phisycal, vray, or standar...
You should be able to do something similar in Standard or Physical using the "Invert Direction" option on the Ambient Occlusion shader. Then add a "Colorizer" effect on top of that to control the colour.

Say, are you part of the team that wrote this programme?
No, I don't speak computer. I am however an avid user of it.
这个教程非常好,虽然我听不懂英文,但是单看操作也能看懂( ̄▽ ̄)/
Holy shit for me every frame (at fucking 300x300 pixels lol) takes 50 seconds. If theres 280 seconds, fuck me this is gonna take forever lol
word
your warning sign of XPresso make me laugh...
really people get uncomfortable with XPresso. I get use to since i started to play with Houdini
It's not as scary once you get to know it.
How to create a sphere?
but wer is the maririail
this not work in r21
Hi Daniel are you on Instagram?
Well… Technically. instagram.com/motionviking
