Another way to hold the ends of the knots fixed while randomizing the other points is to select the end points of a cloned spline then create a Vertex Map (%0) and add it to Fields of the Displacer (made child of cloned spline) and add Noise as a shader (Space:World).
Interesting! Thank you for this. I have a stitching plugin that I made.a few years ago with very similar functionality. Apply to any poly object, set number of spline helix's around stitches, and so on.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! I'm using it to create a Ski Mask simulating a close up of the mask, however i'm strugling to figure out a way to get the cut out of the eyes and mouth to work, do you have any thoughts on the best way to do this? I appreciate it!
Would it also be possible to simulate a pattern instead of the green material? I tried a few approaches, but it doesn't work for me. I am pretty new to RS... Thank you very much!
Thanks so much for the tutorial. Have an issue with rendering in Octane and the setup doesn't seem to be rendering when sent to render (but works in viewport).

Yes I tried that, and if you use a displacer in the base setup, set to World. It will wriggle and jump when you move the clone
This is insane!!! LOVE IT. Thank you for teaching me so much more about cloners and spline uses. I'm inspired!
Great tutorial, taught me a lot about functions of C4D, beyond the aim of the woven fabric. Nice job as always.
Absolutely excellent tutorial and final result. Totally hooked (pun intended) on your tutorials!
Brilliant mate... Keep the excellent work going on
This is cool. I would create the randomness not with an effector but just with a displacement deformer or wind deformer. It works really well.
The idea is unique, and the details are in place
Another great tutorial
Thank you very much 🙏♥️
Your tutorials very smart like you brother 🔥 thanks for your tutorials ✌️❤️

Awesome tut! Do more this kinda stuff please
I followed it and loved the tutorial!
Exactly what I need right now ❤
really good! would love to have the project file at your store, other than that amazing work as always
Sometimes I finish watching your tutorial, then go back to watch how you always start your videos 😂
Cool, thank you so much
amazing tutorial
man thank you .
This was good, thank you very much! :))
Thank you so much! You're a killer! Do you have any tips to do the same curve effect done with redshift but with octane? thks again!!
Great tutorial man!🔥
You should stop stealing idea and try creating your own idea.
Very cool
how would i go about adding different colours? since the colour is on the helix and not the cloner and I can't apply a mograph colour ramp

is it not super heavy to run?
super
Which version cinema 4D using? 2023.2.0?
Cool :)
Why is my spline blend popping? And how are you doing the order in reverse and making it work?

👍👍👍

Have you tried with octane tag?
@@ArturKiraga yup, no luck
