Great Video!! I just installed the newer version of this Atoto stereo in my element. Any luck with the microphone? I can't seem to get mine working. It's plugged in and it doesn't seem to work. Thanks for your help.
This one is much better than the A version of the model. With all of the eye sores that you will never use on the side and the hard buttons below the screen.
Looks like there are 2 versions of the ATOTO F7 WE, one appears not to have the Micro SD or USB slots I have the version with the slots. Look close to the pictures.
If you haven't done so already there is a wire on the radio harness that you tap into your car's lights. I tapped into one to the lights on the climate control panel. Also, make sure that you haven't set the screen brightness to the lowest setting because it won't go any lower than that.
I see you got a icon for android auto I bough the ATOTO A6PF and I dont have that icon (I still can enter android auto as soon as my phone conects via bluetooth) but having the icon is better imo
Weird pet peeve, but if you shut the car off while you’re playing music via Bluetooth or CarPlay will it default to that music source when you turn the car back on? My current car does not do this and it drives me nuts.
How can I set an imported photo as a wallpaper on my 7703C head unit. These units have the logo function removed, but there are spare blocks available in the wallpaper gallery.
Great review thank you! I was considering the XE, but maybe this is the way to go. Curious about the space between the glass and screen. From the angle of the filming, it seems there is almost 2 projections of the screen, so like double icons or words. Is this an issue when using the stereo? Also, is there an AM option? Finally, I sent you a DM on IG about subwoofer. Thank you!
i did notice the double projection while looking at certain angles, i notice on the left side of the screen the way the screen is regressed, the time/battery icon can look cut off. The stereo works great, seems to sound better? lol Yes AM is there. I didn't connect my subwoofer, haven't gotten around to that yet but will let you know!

It seems to be within the horizontal length, but a little longer vertically, than the space in the element. I’m not sure I’m not sure I’m savvy enough to figure out how to have that floating in front Lol
But the problem with these Atoto car stereos is that they have a very poor RCA preout voltage, as some do not even reach 2 volts. But this RCA preout voltage is important to me, since I have everything switched to an amplifier. For me, a car stereo must at least have a 4 volt RCA preout, anything less is worth shit.
So from what I have seen so far. The touchscreen is not that responsive. Boot-up speed is kinda slow. However, it is usable since it is still functional. I'd not recommend this head unit to anyone.
@@lifewithabox turns out it was the wiring. connecting the ignition wire makes it work, but now I can't figure out why the ignition wire isn't working correctly
@@rac-qb4dt you could try wiring it to any switched wire or just make your own from the fuse that will feed it constant power once the key is switched on.

A single touch on the power button actually sends the stereo to mute mode. Pressing the power button for a few seconds will turn off the screen.

Same. Seems like the front connectors are the better way to go. Lots of meaningless touch buttons otherwise

Just make sure you wired the dimmer wire to your harness.

Any suggestion my mirroring does not work. At all I used a factory usb cable and nothing happens

No GPS. Uses your phone for map data.

Go to settings, there's an option to turn it off.

mine turns on for a second when plugged it in. and then it turns off. could that be wrong wiring or the head unit itself?
Do you see the ATOTO logo before it turns off?

@@rac-qb4dt You probably have a faulty unit. Go and get it replaced. If the wiring was wrong the logo shouldn't even show up.
