the thing i love most about this head unit is the live map and the sound. didnt know my subaru had a high end bass unit installed with its stock radio that died before i bought it until i put in the F7
I recently installed the F7 WE in my 2008 Saturn Sky (Opel GT in GB) and I'm impressed! The sound quality just from the wiring harness to the stock speakers (I have the factory amp & sub) is head & shoulders better than the dead GM unit. Car Play is flawless and even the front panel phone mic sounds good according to my wife. Mine only came with the stripped ends wire loom but did include a back-up camera with adjustable guide lines on screen. It is certainly near HD and has night mode. I haven't tried the unit with the top down yet but I expect good things. Worth the money for sure.

Hi Graham. I think the stock fiat head unit is the same as the one in my peogout boxer motorhome. Did you manage to get the steering wheel controls on the fiat to work?

Also in future please test the current draw. Quite a few of us only use the car a few days a week and some of these units don't turn off properly, leading to dead batteries.
I installed this exact unit a few weeks ago and it’s been okay but I’m having problems with CarPlay apps locking up. Especially navigation apps like Waze and Apple Maps. If I start my car once the Waze app will work. But if I shut the car off and restart it Waze will be locked up requiring me to reboot my phone. Thank you for all the great reviews! 👍 I have a few questions, since i want to combine one of your recommended 'very good' Android Head Units with a cheap 360° Camera Solution (the ones that render bird view from 4 cams) for my camper. I know from your reviews, that the T'eyes CC3 has this 'built-in' option, which they sell as an upgrade, so no compatibility issues expected there. But what about all those cheap 360° camera solutions, that claim they are compatible with any Android head unit? Would they fit to an Atoto, Xtrons, Dasaita, etc? They come with a processor device, that processes the 4 cam images to a single video output, if i understand correctly. This output would then be plugged into the head unit's video input, i assume. But somehow the head unit would need a special app to control and display this processor device (configure the pattern for stitching, switch between different views, etc.)? I couldn't find any info on this. 🙄
You won't be able to use the 360 cams on a head unit that isn't designed for it as it needs special hardware that isn't included. That being said, the head units that do support 360 all seem to use the same camera kits. The Teyes cameras work on two other head units which were sold with 360 capability
@@SaabUnleashed thanks a lot for your quick response! Looks like i will go with the T'eyes then (or the Kroak?). You mentioned the Kroak can record the cams for crash/surveillance, but did not mention the same for T'eyes. But since the T'eyes is more sophisticated, i assume it can do that too. So again, lots of thanks!

Anyone use Cartaotao or Carlaoer head units? What’s your take Stuart?
Thanks 4 the explanation. Am in Africa (Uganda) 8:13 where Amazon is operating, can u help me to get it? If am 2 send money?
Amazon not
Hi! Thanks for the video, I have one question though, can you change the color of the buttons?
I show this in the video in the car integration section
Can you install RUclips on the Linux system?
No. They're Linux based, not actually Linux
Hey there, is there any ability to change the boot logo to the car manufacturer?
Yes go to setting and Change date and time to 1-8-2008 1:08 24 hr format go back to setting at it will pop up on one of the screens
Thanks it worked
@@pjm0053 sure did! Real life cheat codes!
Confirmed, works - just did this on my unit tonight. Great!
anyone know what type of video files it will play from usb?
Mp4
Salut, une question comment on fait pour garder en mémoire les stations de radio en mémoire sur le F7 ?
It looks like he's saying you may have used the wrong cable.
@@brahtrumpwonbigly7309 Oui, je me suis rendu compte, que j'avais inversé le + après contact et le + pour la mémoire😅
How does this compare to a teyes cc2plus?
It doesn't compare. The CC2 Plus is a top-end proper Android head unit. The Atoto F7 has a basic interface with limited options.
The Atoto S8 range would be more on-par with the CC2 Plus
@@SaabUnleashed hmm interesting, as price wise the cc2plus and F7we are more comparable in my country, seems the cc2plus would be a better option then?
@@laulau10100 yes indeed.
Love your videos! Does this unit allow you to change the starting logo?
My F7 does not. I believe other F7 variants do. I was hoping to change the start screen. You can add your own wallpaper.
I have the F7XE. It does not come with any car logos. I think Atoto only offers that in regular standalone android head units
Just installed this unit in my work van, since using a $50 eBay special headunit prior to installing this unit, it makes a world of a difference with wireless android auto. No colour distortion/glare from daylight. Only one question, is there a way to change the start up logo? Couldn't find any option to change it
Thanks
Yes theres a procedure to do. Just contact atoto support they will send you the pdf
If Logo Boot menu not appearing, ITS HIDDEN , in order to make it visible SET DATE to
2008-01-08 (Y/M/D) and TIME to 01:08 24 h, go back previous menu and it appears, got it from ATOTO Cust Serv. Good Day 0
I’ve had three Atoto units fail on me. It seems like they’re using very poor quality power components. They look like a good value, but long term… it’s a big avoid.
What do you recommend for a similarly spec'ed unit that lasts?
@@zpbeats3938I’m getting Atto A8
what happened to them?
I wish there was a good head unit on the market with a responsive display and that's not incredibly lagy.
There are many. That's what my channel is for.
I just opened my box. I did not get any of the wire harnesses. So frustrating
You should contact them - I would be annoyed too
I like there songs better Africa being there best
So what's this if this is not an android head unit.
Linux
Reasonable video just a pity the orator spoke so bloody fast, what's the damn hurry??? This is supposed to be a sort of learning experience!! (yeah right) How about giving one some time to swallow all of this???
Are Eunavi any good?
