This has to be the best radio install video ever on the Atoto I’ve seen and the fact you aren’t a radio professional is also incredible, do you have a great salsa recipe you can share too? New subscriber thanks for this content
Just got this radio last week. Haven't done the camera yet though. Every car has a vent for pressure in the trunk near the bumper surround... Go into the car and run the wire along the trim, don't run it below the car. Too many ways it can be damaged, due to the elements and road crap. Instead of taping the rca connections under the car, get large heat shrink if you are keeping it outside. Be better protection and hold better as well
For anyone that comes across this, I just installed my camera. I have a 2004 mazda 3 hatch back. I ran the wire up into the trunk using the grommet that the license plate lights wire came up through. I soldered extension wires on the signal wires and tapped them into the reverse light wires in the headliner BEFORE it goes to the trunk so I didn't have to run wires into the hatch. Then just ran the wire along the floor under the door sill trim then up behind the glovebox and into the radio. Super clean
I noticed when you were going through the settings that the "Steering Wheel Position" was set to "right" instead of "left" like it is in the US. Maybe that's why your steering wheel controls aren't fully working?
Fantastic video. Thanks so much for your time. I have the ATOTO A6-PF and it works flawless except for the fact that I can not get the Backup Camera to work. The camera works when I plug it into the FRONT camera RCA but I can not get it to work by shifting it into reverse. Thanks again for the great review! Rob. N1WOX (Retired)
