Update: Gran Turismo have recently updated the slipstream in this race (Wednesday 28th) to now make racing a whole lot better! Big thanks to Konsta (The OIympian) for feeding it back to Gran Turismo! I would argue now it's not the worst race (Which is my opinion). I am slowly catching up with comments, apologies for any delays (Busy time at work).
@@tidgney he must have done it because there was a race where he undercut me for 2 laps, I came out ahead, he was faster but couldn't deal with dirty air, eventually he dropped back. @@ryanhiggins9797you need a 3rd party app. I use Race Dash for iOS. Super easy to set up and no lag in the data. It can definitely be helpful but I find it impacts my driving more when setting qualifying times when I can weave, slam brakes etc. Even if you aren’t purposefully heating or cooling tires during a race, you can at least know when to be a bit more cautious in certain situations. In general just know that your tires will be cooler in the first lap or two, rear tires heat up MUCH quicker at least in rwd cars, and if you fishtail or spin out or any sort of wheel slipping, your tires are going to be HOT and you’re going to lose grip very easily until they cool down a bit.
Gt7 needs to activate or make the chassis bend a thing already. If you own the car and are the one doing the ramming and side swiping, you get hit with a repair bill. You can still use the car, but performance will be left over. They can use the radar and drivers input to make it make some kind of sense. If you rent the car, you can only enter that race if you pay the repair bill. I just dont get why they dont start their own lobbies and just title it whatever it takes. Instead, they bring this crap to us in ranked lol
I like that idea! And maybe the repair bills increase the more you need your car repaired. Although if they had the software or algorithm or whatever to determine fault, I think the first step would be MAKING A PENALTY SYSTEM THAT’S NOT A COMPLETE JOKE AND DOESN’T PUNISH THE VICTIM MORE THAN THE OFFENDER!!! And not only assigning penalties better but stiffer penalties that actually discourage dirty driving. They don’t care about 4 seconds….need to have suspensions and stuff! I am also a huge fan of the idea of putting all the dirty drivers into their own lobbies to get a taste of their own medicine. Would pay to watch those races….maybe that’s how they can pay for having humans review dirty driving reports??
Would love to hear the logic for that….the fact that you can easily get the exact data but only through 3rd party apps from random one man show developers is embarrassing….not as embarrassing as the penalty system but embarrassing nonetheless.
makes me chuckle a bit they'll 'commemorate' a real life event in-game by letting us go around the same track but in cars that are 8 years older than what is currently being run and none of the avaliable cars are even the same model as what is now used in real life lol

I tried the GTR '08 hoping it would be better in dirty air from less downforce, but I was just a sitting duck sector 1 and had to overdrive it, making mistakes there. It's also better on tyres but sadly the race isn't quite long enough to benefit, around lap 4 I found I was catching back up but not by enough before the pitstops.

Sometimes it's to do with the clamp, if you look behind there's a gap. The one the other day was a bit bizarre not quite sure what happened but keeping an eye on it.
I think it is a bit of a YOU problem, not liking the race. And by YOU i mean the extra fast guys. Im barely A+ and love this race. ‘A’ guys love this race, but there is not that much of dirty air and tyres dont die for slightly slower guys. And also my favorite cars to drive are gr2. So might also be a ME “problem”

Pretty sure PD are just being lazy and sinking the physics, so that either a 'mind-blowing!' update miraculously appears or the next iteration of GT comes along
Definitely a BAD WEEK, I haven’t touched a C race since the update, the physics exponentially increases your chances of disaster, coupled with the increased laps of race c and it seems to risky to me, even on a second account…
PD doesn't care about daily races. Grand Valley on hard tires is beyond stupid, creating mass carnage in normal lobbies and this race has dirty air and tire wear 😢. Instead of giving us 5 daily races options each week and more new cars competitively balanced they gave poorer physics. It's ridiculous after 2-3 years! We don't have more and better races. Bring us lmp cars, fix the setups! And give us 5 daily races options designed by streamers. Enough is enough 🤪😤😡 Thanks Tidge 🤗 it's obvious PD does not care about sport mode. 😢
I really don't want GT7 to become a tyre temp management game like ACC seems to be. Whenever I try to watch an ACC stream all anyone seems to talk about is tyre temps. It's just so dull.
Its plausible to say tire wear is a skill issue for the majority of the player base. Quick drivers like Serrano were carving their way through the field when starting from the back, had good tyre wear in dirty air and had blistering pace. So should polyphony skew settings that favour the majority or will top drivers still rise to the top?
It's a good question, I'm more in favour of making the game better for the majority than the minority personally and I'd put myself more in the minority
I figured this was the vast majority of the players. I’ve done most of the offline races and things to progress etc but sport mode is 90% of what I play and I’d bet that sport mode players have higher engagement etc.
Why everyone complains about physics? Imo its fine,,just need some more finesse with steering throttle and brake,,,the dirty air indeed is a load of crap 💩💩
Can't see tire temps.... and no way to cool them down either.... I use the app and see the temps and feel the tires burning alive but without tire pressures we have no way to lower temps 😢
Corner smoother, avoid wheel spin, brake earlier or lift and coast, and a big one is shit up to a higher gear when accelerating out of a corner. But yes….incredibly stupid that they have the data for tire temps but won’t show it….
Aside from just practicing, the best way to do increase DR is to focus more on qualifying. Don’t enter a race until you have a decent qualifying time. DR only goes up if you finish in the first half of the grid and it doesn’t take into account where you started. Obviously the higher up you finish, the more your DR goes up. Also I believe if you finish ahead of higher ranked drivers that helps more. But basically if you’re starting races in the top 5 or so, it’s easier to win or at least finish in the top half and you’re less likely to get caught up in carnage and the dirty drivers (who I find often start further back because they are too impatient to spend time qualifying). Good luck and be patient! Go at your own pace….it’s not a race! Well….it is…but you get the idea….
I haven't and won't touch this race. It just looks too boring. I actually like to race, not sit behind someone in dirty air and not be able to pass. It's a shame as I like both the Gr.2's and the track, but every stream I've watched it seems like it's a high speed demolition derby, so I'll just pass on this combo and save my hard earned A rating for a better daily combo.
I’ve had plenty of overtakes here. Suzuka is a track I’ve probably had the most practice at and I’m fairly consistent there. I basically do my race and wait for people to slide off in the weaving turns after turn 1, in the hard right turn with the big sand runoff next to it, or in the left turn right after the straight (altho less frequent with higher downforce cars). That or spin out after the very slow hairpin.
I think as much as these guys "love" to talk about wanting races that have strategy, they dont really want races with strategy beyond the pointless one-stopper with no tirewear strategy. Tirewear, fuel consumption, and dirty air, they really dont want these things, but they want to talk about wanting them. Which is weird because those things do give them a massive advantage over 99% of players (controllers) due to their FFB. Oh and btw the "worst race ever" was a couple of weeks ago with that waste of time, 6 lapper. Annoying
If you've watched other videos (And I know you have) you know I want a mixture of strategy. This race has 0, lap 5 or lap 6 pit and only 1 really viable car. I've always said I don't want dirty air, in fact I've actually said why bring in weaknesses of real life into a racing game (Something I firmly believe in). I enjoyed the Honda race and said it at the time, but again that's why this in my opinion (Before the change today) was the worst daily race I've done in GT7 in my opinion.
In America’s lobby it is 85% of the time a Brazilian driver, 10% Argentinian, and 5% any other country. I don’t get it… I actually messaged a guy who I thought was being dirty (he claims it was an accident so maybe just sloppy and going for overtakes he shouldn’t be going for) and asked why that is and if there’s something in the Brazilian culture that makes them okay with doing this. He came back and said it’s always Americans….so who knows…. All I know is I’m NEVER getting in a car if I visit Brazil one day!
@@tidgney Sorry mate, I should have been more clear. Not a go at you personally or your channel. You are certainly one of the better ones by far. But this IS a constant thing from streamers on GT7 in general. One week best race ever, next worst race ever. 🙄😂
It's ok, I don't follow to closely absolutely everybody and what videos they do. But before the updated slipstream today this to me was categorically the worst daily race I'd done. No Strategy and no racing and tyre management is the worst experience of a daily race.
And about the dirty air, it is drivable, but you need to adjust to it and be agressive when overtaking, and pit opposite to the car directly ahead. You see me p5 p2 and p1 and I'm starting p8 or below
Ahh yes, so so a valid side by side racing and then they 100% throttle and straight up the steering on exit to push me off, of course that isn't dirty 😂. I'm assuming your friends.
Dirty doesn’t just mean straight up ramming or side swiping. It’s also doing irresponsible moves that they know have a very small percent chance of working, moving under braking, making multiple defensive moves, or driving like no one else is there and not giving them the space or in this case, accelerating into someone else. Maybe it’s slightly less bad than going side by side and just cranking your wheel into someone but still bad. If you’re in B and especially A/A+ lobbies you should know better…
Well I wouldn't necessarily consider the move into the right turn clean than either it ruined the Spaniards line into the left turn a heavier hit and he probably would have been forced trying to cut the corner completely but one guy is a nobody and the other one is a GT7 Content creator obviously the Spaniard has to take full blame for it
I was already along side the spanish driver at that point, and left them plenty of space on the exit. If you watch the entire video where I make mistakes I own them 100% but it's very clear here they just 100% full throttled me off which is a dirty move and intentional.
I get Ur 'points, I think. Being a B myself, there are other factors which are far more important. At higher levels of skill, these drivers must find it infuriating tho

Agree with you 💯, BUT it's a spanner in all our works real
Dirty tyres feel much slippier than before the latest update
I have simdash installed on an old cell phone i use a dash in gt7 just for situations like this when i need to see tire temps
Wait What! Race C is a partyyyyy!
I really don't want GT7 to become a tyre temp management game like ACC seems to be. Whenever I try to watch an ACC stream all anyone seems to talk about is tyre temps. It's just so dull.
I want the long races with weather 😩 not playing this week redbull ring is ok .
We normally get one a month, hopefully it's a good one this month!
Agree
Looks like air temp varies in race and impacts tyre temps massively
depends how aggressive you drive....
How are you seeing the actual temps of the tires???
It's an app called Sim Dashboard
I have achieved a record breaking amount of plebbing on this weeks daily! 😅
😂😂😂😂
yeah with how last weeks daily B turned out, i dont want to do this anymore with C A R N A G E
If you see a Spain flag, assume they're dirty. Works every time.
Tidge... Unfortunately they just dont care about sport mode and the player base that cares about sport mode. Its sad
I figured this was the vast majority of the players. I’ve done most of the offline races and things to progress etc but sport mode is 90% of what I play and I’d bet that sport mode players have higher engagement etc.
Weight transfer in the mid rear engine cars is broken
I didnt mind it.
Does PD even play their own game?
I wonder what is the problem with the Lexus RC F, that no one uses it?
I was tempted to try it later this week as it used to be the safe car to go to
Have you tried the other NSX?
@@DevonSherwood good tips will have to try them 👍
Of course it's a Marc Marquez livery 😅
I do not like this week's race C, so I have been running race B, and have gone up a DR as well! Now racing with the big boys in B class.
I've had worse. 😂
Hi mate hope you are doing okay can tell me how to make my driving rating better please mate thanks Dylan
Practice and just keep trying to improve your lap in qualifying and then jump into a race. Should make sure you are towards the front of your races.
I'm thinking I'll miss, too. As u said, seeing a LOT of dirty driving, and cars having off's 😢
That or spin out after the very slow hairpin.
i wouldnt go that far dirty air ruins it still not the worst
I enjoyed the Honda race and said it at the time, but again that's why this in my opinion (Before the change today) was the worst daily race I've done in GT7 in my opinion.
this week and last werk its always a Spain driver that has to be dirty i dont get it lol
In America’s lobby it is 85% of the time a Brazilian driver, 10% Argentinian, and 5% any other country. I don’t get it…
I actually messaged a guy who I thought was being dirty (he claims it was an accident so maybe just sloppy and going for overtakes he shouldn’t be going for) and asked why that is and if there’s something in the Brazilian culture that makes them okay with doing this. He came back and said it’s always Americans….so who knows….
All I know is I’m NEVER getting in a car if I visit Brazil one day!
@@DevonSherwood 🤣🤣🤣
Another "Worst Race in GT7 History" header. Must be a monthly thing. Bit like first wives club meetings.
I have never used that title before now?
Tries to pass people in stupid places calls them dirty drivers when he gets unintentionally tapd off
Ahh yes, so so a valid side by side racing and then they 100% throttle and straight up the steering on exit to push me off, of course that isn't dirty 😂.
His name is Gerard. Why are you referring to him as they? I think we can all assume he’s a male!!
No idea, just what I said at the time.
day 120 of asking tidge for a shifting videoooo
😮
how to get tyre temp details?
It's an app that you can get on your phone, I use Sim dashboard
Dirty air doesn't matter when you're racing B class
Watch Digit Racings latest video about this race, he shows that there is a 2-3 second difference in dirty air compared with clean.
I get Ur 'points, I think. Being a B myself, there are other factors which are far more important.
At higher levels of skill, these drivers must find it infuriating tho
