I absolutely love the Karts wish this was a DR and SR rated race. There should be more Kart racing, maybe a 4th Daily event to get us using those road cars more etc. And maybe a 5th daily race where full tuning is allowed to road cars.
I quite like race A, the handling is a lot nicer since the physics update and the track works better than I expected for karts. My spin was karma, I was weaving about trying to break the tow and went too far over. I didn't do the Huracan justice in race C, it's quite nice down the mountain if you've looked after the tyres, I guess I had overheated them. If somebody good tries that car it has the potential to be a weapon.

Karts anywhere are absolutely not fun. The race I did last night saw 11 different times with the guys in the C lobbies doing 1:07s and some of us stuck at 1:16! How is that even fair? The 1/5 stars rating is exactly what it is
I've talked about it in the discord, but the only good memories of Eiger from GT6 were in karts. Of course, the karts were a lot easier to handle back then. I had a buddy jump over somebody in one of my races on the old jump. I still have that image saved.
I love karts… we don’t get enough of em in my opinion. So much to learn about car control, line, and just race craft in general. Usually they make for super close battles. Many of the best drivers on earth developed their fundamentals in karts. But people don’t like em because they are harrrd and that’s no fun.

I was getting the same start bug at the front of the grid, it was also doing it against the AI. Something to do with holding the accelerator when waiting to start, I didn’t quite figure it out. I make the same mistake on almost every track, I practice the TT line but I don’t practice being offline. I wanted to go wide to leave plenty of space on the inside, I knew I had to hit the brakes a little bit latter but missed the braking point and went off. Just as well looking at the replay I think if I got it right I would of got hit anyway. I did a bit of practice of this track over the weekend, I think it is better as a kart track. One thing I noticed racing the AI was when you put a wheel on the grass the kart span, so I switched the Countersteering assist to weak then strong. With it on strong you can drive on the grass, driving on the grass slows you down, but being slowed down has to be better than being spun. Racing the AI with Countersteer off, week and strong didn’t seem to affect my optimum time all 3 were about the same, but my race times with it on strong were much better as there was always a lap where I didn’t get the perfect line and ended up cutting the grass. When you are testing the tyre wear / temps, it maybe worth looking at countersteer assist as well. Whenever I hear you say change gear early after a corner to avoid wheel spin I know it’s impossible for me driving an automatic. I messed around with TC, I haven’t retried since your video, but I found it was car dependant, some were better, some were slower. So I started using CS, I have it off by default, but if I find the car is unstable I try it with it on weak and strong. I often find my lap times are quicker with it switched to weak / strong. I’m not sure how much of that time gain is from the car being more stable or from more confidence to accelerate out of corners. As I am not the most consistent driver it’s difficult for me to check and compare, but I found in race C a few weeks ago that having it switched to weak didn’t slow me down but as the tyres were sliding less they wore less and I got another lap out of them.

I’ve noticed this before - the car graphic hides your brake balance setting so we don’t get to see it Tidgney. Thank you yet again for the guide though - really helpful 👍

I do the same races at the same time each week so if anyone is a similar DR they can join in. It's great to race Maxpower though as they're clean and fast!
This race B is horrible. I've lost so much DR from being nudged off track and spinning out. It's so easy to drive dirty and not pick up penalties in this race. I've come last in the last 4 races and set the fastest lap in all of them!
The kart race was atrocious! It’s just a whole race of can you even keep up and it’s really bad. As for Race B, people are just wrecking others in the GTR or in the Lambo, HOWEVER TIG, if you’re gonna do a Beat the Meta video for Race B, GIVE THE ASTON A TRY! I discovered it’s got amazing acceleration plus if you put the rear brakes to 3, you can get the thing to turn! Would have finished 2nd if it wasn’t for that NSX that drilled me cause the other Aston pushed him wide. Ended up last cause of that…
I wouldn't waste ur time on it, since they changed the physics.....half the cars are totally undrivable, tyres no longer feel like they have any grip n brakes just feel unresponsive n that's before we talk about the absolutely useless penalty system.
@tidgney I've tried a few times to get back into it but the cars just feel numb, I tried the porsche round bathurst n it was practically undrivable same with the 650s both cars I could drive fairly comfortably n I'm a good 3-4 secs slower since the change

Hey Dball, it doesn't the graphic literally shows the BB, so it shows HP, Weight and Brake Balance (Which will be + or - then the number then BB)

I like the Karts in GT7. Why do you have to dislike them?
I dislike them due to the steering sensitivity and the ability to race is reduced because of it
