    I actually liked the ending. Stray asks lots of questions but never answers them. So for now, they are open to interpretation, but I assume eventually we will get a dlc or a second game or something. The end of stray really could be just the middle of the storyline. Like I could ask so many question. What is the hive mind eyeball thing? What is the network? Where did the humans go? What happened to the other cats? That's the type of thing that will make a good second game. Because if you have a complete story and wrap it up with a bow. It is really hard to create another experience that doesn't feel to much like a copy paste with different story elements. So while disappointing now, I believe this is the purrfect setup for another game.

He looks directly at the player at the beginning and end of the game (check it out if you don't believe me, right when they first leave the shelter and right when he climbs the stairs). It's an intentional fourth wall break to basically say when the stray is letting you accompany him on his adventure.

    I loved this game, yeah it was short (though it took me more like 6.5hrs) but that's fine in my opinion, it told exactly what it needed to and didn't make any section feel rushed or drawn out in my opinion. I wouldn't mind more but not in this game, instead in the form of the next game or DLC.
    //SPOILERS FOR THE END//
    I feel like us leaving alone at the end may set up for a stray 2/DLC where we travel to reunite with the other kitties because there is so much that can be done with this world!
    We still don't know everything about overground, maybe there are humans alive, maybe there's other walled cities which are still shut ect... So that's why I feel perfectly happy with the length of this game.

    I Finished it today took me around 8hours, i played it slow cause god it was one of the most detailed worlds i played i recent time absolutely gorgeous environment's, the gameplay was enjoyable, the puzzle's where fun.
    I wish they had more story development on the current wolrd cause it was interesting, realistic about humanity, it had the post apocalypse vibes ,the cyberpunk vibes ,all it needed it was a bit more story telling to be perfect for me 8/10 😸
    Thoughts and feelings maybe some spoilers so please skip if you haven't played yet
    So the enemies where very interesting come on baby headcrabs from half-life 😹 parts of the city inflected with them with red vines building up on buildings not gonna lie gave me the spooks, very nice enemy type with its mystery.
    Feelings:
    It was relaxing as maow 😹 it felt like playing ABZU or Journey another too similar style games with short stories and puzzles telling a awesome story with mysteries behind it , it had moments that made me laugh doing cat stuff breaking stuff dropping paint in robot's heads 💀
    Ending feelings:
    THE ending was ok but it could be better when the cat leaves from the main door we see a light on a screen pop up so maybe our robot-human friend survived by uploading him self I don't know it was a cliff hanger i wish we played a bit outside to find our cat family members at least, maybe we will have stray 2 who knows it would be nice perhaps that's all form me gamers peace ✌️.

    • @lukeking1643
      @lukeking1643 Год назад +3

      The ending to me was perfect, we started off with a family of cats enjoying life and we get thrown into an unknown world, tasked with something no other cat has ever done with the help of a little b12 bot who slowly becomes like family to us aswell as Momo, Clementine, and the fact that each one eventually wasn’t able to join us in the outside truly was the perfect ending even if some people don’t like it, but sometimes happy endings aren’t always as we thought it would be. In my opinion the heart wrenching ending was without the doubt the best way they could have ended it.

    • @shixter
      @shixter Год назад +2

      You should be ok. There are only 2 ways they can get you: 1) is with the "Zurks" (main enemy which look like hopped up guinea pigs). They will chase you and try to pile on and if you can't shake them off, the screen does goes red and an robot lettered word fades in...then respawns at spot they caught you. 2) guard drones can shoot you. But no real blood and guts or splats or anything close to that. You can't jump off too high ledges etc. Indeed, that initial kitty slide is the only time you see the cat limp in the whole game (and thats for 1 min at most) You can bump into electrified laser fences but even then, they just shock you and you jump back a couple feet. It's pretty cute how they do it.
      I hope this helps. Its definitely a very great experience and not too dangerous to kitty. The game benefits far outweigh any anxiety for their well-being.

    I really liked the game, but I thought the ending was anti climactic. What they did with B-12 was a lazy attempt to get a cheap emotional pop. That kind of thing just annoys me, and gets the wrong emotional reaction. Also we needed to reunite with the other cats obviously. I would like a game that plays like this, but is more similar to Untitled Goose Game. Just let me be a trouble making cat in a realistic town.

They love to follow me around, head-butt me with love, rub on me, and sometimes lay on me or at least right next to me. Cats have their own way they show love and each one has their own funny little personalities. Speedy, for instance doesn’t like very many people besides me. Cocoa is universally sweet to everyone, she just doesn’t like to be alone. She will grab her mouse toy and meow around the house with it until she finds someone and then drop it at their feet.
