They opened their Amsterdam show in '95 with this song. I stood there with a broken arm in a cast and still was drawn inexorably to the mosh pit. What a show that was!
Especially the guitar tone and Chuck's vocals and the guy used the simplest of gear

Spiritual healing is one of the best Death Metal albums ever. Top five in my opinion.

This has to be on of the best live version of “Spiritual Healing” I ever heard. I didn’t see this tour because they didn’t play anywhere near the Philly area, but got the chance to see them at The Cellblock in Bensalem in July of ‘93. Saw them for the last time in November of ‘98 at The Trocadero Theatre in Philly. Met Chuck and Richard Christy during soundcheck. They signed my copy of “The Sound of Perseverance”. Absolutely without a doubt the coolest and down to earth guys I ever met. No attitudes, no cockiness just straight up no bullshit musicians who truly cares about the fans. You are sorely missed Chuck.

I have tears in my eyes! Those were the times. I still remember going to school when this was released and being completely blown away. Amazing that Gene is still on nowadays.
I uploaded this show several years ago and Relapse sue me for owning the rights, had to delete it. Happy it's up again.
I love Symbolic and the lineup, but Spiritual Healing without James Murphy solo just isn't the same.

Anyone else think that Chuck's vocals were way cooler when he did growls instead of shrieks?
he didnt do it intentionally. shan hamm said in one of his interviews that he asked chuck why he changed the vocals and chuck answered that he doesnt know why his voice changed since hes doing all exactly the same way he always did but the voice comes out higher. shan said that probably it was because of the tumour but i personally think that chuck damaged his vocal chords to that point. he had no professional technique
