The hell? I wonder if mine is defective because the mic is ridiculously quiet. I had to boost it massively and then use their GG "Sonar" to remove the extreme "boost fuzz" background noise.
~not my one at least, piss poor crackling noise; when it isn't cutting out and you talk to yourself for a round of cod. Trying it on my pc over discord, much better, something to do with the non-standard sub-sized audio jack, maybe need to do a back-to-back splitter/combiner into the ps4 controller.
Picked up some Turtle Beach Battle Buds the other day. Kind of a bust. Picks up way too much of my in game sound, and also echos really bad on xbox parties. Not terrible in discord. Gonna try these out here soon. Hopefully they don't have the same issue.
@@Sean3D2Y I bought both battle buds and these running them through a Gen 4 Mixamp, these are immediately better. More comfortable, louder, more balanced EQ and I think the mic is a pinch clearer. The comfort alone is a win here, the battle buds use rubber tabs to secure into your ear which hurt after an hour or two of gaming. So yeah, unless you're looking for a deal bc the turtle beaches are usually on sale or just prefer the design of the TB's the steelseries are easily better. These are my day to day audio devices for PC and casual gaming, I use a set of G Pro's for competitive stuff all with Mixamp gen 4 on PC.

Turn mic input level down in mic settings. They’re really loud compared to normal earbud mics
pity you could not spend a little time in how it sounds in a noisy environment
