You don't need to style white shoes with a white belt, but if you're out at the beach or going sailing - with a good quality polo, it's kinda fire. 🔥 Try it if you have the confidence!
I normally don't do plugs, but I will for Anson. I recently purchased their box set, 3 straps and 2 buckles, in two shades of brown and one oxblood, colors I didn't have before. I've been wearing black micro-adjust belts for about 8 years, so that part didn't sell me as I know how great they are. The problem is the ones I've bought before, from a department store and online, don't last. On my work belt, the coating is coming off the buckle and the cheap leather is wearing through. On the other, I can see the finish starting to come off of the buckle. When I got the box set, I could smell the leather as soon as I opened the box. The straps are thicker than my other ones and seem to be more well-made. I think these will last a long time. On the ones I've bought before, buckle interchangeability isn't there. With Anson, it is. I have had two types of buckles before, ones where you lift the entire front of the buckle to loosen and one where you have a lever underneath to do it like Anson. I was leery about that because the other one I have can be difficult to undo. I have had no problems undoing either buckle from Anson. They're a bit more pricey than the $25-30 belts online, but they are also much better quality. The box set for $100 works out to be as good a deal as buying 3 online. You won't be disappointed.
My personal favorite belt is from Hanks Belts. It’s a double layer of Bison leather. Beautiful belt and very robust. It’s not the cheapest belt out there but it’s excellent quality and has a lifetime warranty on it.
"Pssh Antonio, you think I really don't know half of this?" You're right, Antonio, I didn't know most of these! Thank you for the fantastic style content that is easy to understand that you put out!
Samuel Browne fought against Ali Khan's forces at Rohilkhand, India during the first war of Indian independence 1857 He later fought in The anglo Afghan war How do I know this - I'm Indian
I've always loved the look of "the old Sam Browne," and I wanted to try one out a kit like that for camping & hiking (it might be great for carrying my kukri knife, for example).
I prefer Kore Essentials but a good ratchet belt offers fine adjustment. It's perfect if your weight fluctuates slightly, you eat a big meal, if you wear different things; especially a firearm or other EDC gear.
Sometimes if I'm wearing black jeans and a black shirt, I'll wear a black belt and brown shoes. I know it probably goes against every made up fashion rule, but to me, having the brown boots without the brown belt to break up the black just makes the boots pop more.
My favorite belt is a cheapo from Walmart. It's reinforced nylon with leather. It's ugly, but it's 10 years old and still a great work belt. I don't even know what brand it is. My policy on belts is that if you have belt loops, wear a belt.
Hi Antonio, Thank you for the great video. I have a question: what's your opinion on dark-green leather belt? Is it possible to combine it with black shoes, or it needs to be paired with other accessories in the same color?
since brown/burgandy dress shoes are all the rage now, I ended up getting several colors of brown belts. I dropped so much weight in Japan I bought a belt there that was already too big for me when I got back to America so I needed yet a new belt.
00:07 '...learned to not underestimate the fighters of India.' What makes you think that Sam Browne would underestimate Indian fighters? He was born in India, he had been with Indian regiments from the age of 18 and he had 18 years of experience serving with 'Indian fighters'. Seems to me he was pobably perfectly aware of the fighting capabilities of the Indian warrior.
Well if you're asking because you're too tight to buy a new one then you're at serious risk of it breaking and your pants will fall down. It happened to me sadly, I spent a whole working day having to physically hold my pants up. I'm big on keeping my belts serviceable and have spare ones too these days.
I mostly wear waistcoats so I wear my belt on my trench coat. Makes me feel like in The Great War. Also a long enough scarf works too as a belt on trench coat. Feels like go back further in history.
I was in the local emergency services and I wasn't aware of the gigi line but I did wonder why I got a few strange looks, p.s Antonino keep up the great work 🎉🎉🎉

I was at a local watering hole this week and saw a guy wearing light colored blue jeans, brown boat shoes and a black belt. The horror! I wanted to go shake him.
I can’t believe this. There is no such a think as a fashion belt. A gentleman should never wear a belt with a suite. Suite pains should have either side adjusters or worn with braces (no clip on suspenders)! No belts with big buckles.

Lots of yadda yadda to say that you can wear whatever you darn well want to....matching...not matching. To me, it's silly to see a guy with trousers that have belt loops and he's not wearing a belt. Likewise, it is silly looking to me to see a guy with dress clothes/shoes on, and NO SOCKS. It just looks like he forgot something when he got dressed. And you think those feet aren't going to get sweaty in the shoes? Of course, you can always wear foot liners. Now casual shoes...fine. Just me...old school.
I'm honestly just watching random RUclips videos because the most important woman in my life just broke up with me and I have no idea what to do without her anymore.
That sucks my friend. When that happened to me 5 years ago I felt the same. Sooner than I thought, however, I couldn’t imagine what I’d do if she was still around. It hurts now, let it hurt. When it stops hurting, I do hope you have the same realizations I did, a feeling of self respect; knowing you did the best you ever could. A feeling of new beginning where it feels like the god himself hands you a blank sheet of paper on a golden plate for you to rewrite your story - having learnt from the past mistakes. Stay strong.
What do you really miss about her? To paraphrase Patrice Oneal: When you are having a good time at a party with your buddies have you ever said: you know what would make this party even better? If my girl was here. Ofcourse not. You can not build your life around a woman. Go hit the gym hard a couple of times a week, find a passion project to work on in your free time. Wondering why she left is pointless. Move on, stay active. You will feel better after a while.
@@jarnolehtinen2269 Ya know what really hurts, I didn't do my best, I didn't really try, and now that she's gone, all I want to do is be there for her, even after she left me and broke my heart, I still love her, I just care about if she's happy because I know if I really tried, she would've been.

The only Sam Browne I have heard of is the popular singer of the 1930s personally.

Wow you really covered all the bases when it comes to belt rules - I appreciate that you mentioned the "loopholes" too!

Big fan of Anson, which initially I discovered via your channel, then met them at Menfluential.
I bought a cheap cut-to-size yellow silicone belt from Temu and it’s one of my favorite belts with jeans. Was like 5 bucks

I stopped wearing belts in favor suspenders about 20 years ago. Suspenders are more comfortable; and hold up my pants at a consistent level.

Brilliant.
I think your belt should match your shoes. And if that’s not possible, then you should wear pants that don’t need a belt. Or suspenders.
should your suspenders match your shoes or your belt though
Pro tip: Order your belt at least two sizes larger than your waist size. I wear a 31 or 32 waist and always get size 34 belts and they fit great.
