Belts should extend 2 - 4 inches past the buckle. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, USMC Uniform Regulations. Some old habits die hard. Semper Fi & Happy Birthday, Marine!
I would say that for an inexpensive belt Choice the box style buckle can serve both as an more formal and a more casual choice I mean most militaries use them both for the dress uniform and their cammo, often the same belt
I just bought a set of belts from Anson a few weeks ago after seeing one of your videos. I thought to myself: those could be my first step towards a modular wardrobe, so I opted for the dressier ones. I'm very pleased with their quality and rather dissatisfied with the experience of shopping from the EU. While they arrived in under a week, shipping cost more than a belt and buckle, plus additional import fees. And now I am told I shouldn't also wear them in my more casual outfits is a bummer... Still, I love your content - keep it up!
I’ve already experienced this, as it happens: a couple of years ago, I got gifted a pair of my favorite casual/work boots (Timberland any. Maddsen) in a hard-to-match color, and the only belt that I could find like it was not only two narrow, according to what you’ve told us here, but it was also too long. If I’d watched this video first, I probably would’ve just gotten a nylon work belt that matched the laces, or use some similar strategy.
You mentioned buckles slightly near the end however I feel there is more that can be covered about buckles. Such as, in the beginning of the video you mentions "don'ts" for the belt. Are there any such rules for the buckle?
I find it easier to get new pants once you need a belt, but I did order medieval style dark red belt. Planning to use it around my waist like vikings did and not the forced low line that modern pants end at.
11:10 On the note of cutting a belt, it depends a bit on what kind of belt you have, but it can be really simple. If you have a frame buckle you should probably have a professional do it for you because you'd have to cut the visible end and so if it's done amateurly it'll look sloppy. With a box frame, though, you'll be able to remove the buckle from the belt, meaning you'll be able to then cut the part of the belt that connects to the buckle, which no one is going to see. With this kind of belt you can just cut it on your own really easily, I cut a leather one with literally just the scissors I used in elementary school, took a bit of force, but it was really easy. The result looked very sloppy, but it doesn't matter, because no one's going to see it

I was like blowing away how fine the details were of the hills and mountains surrounding, and I still don’t wear them, so I don’t see girls smiling at me and also I don’t notice my friends and family at times so dont notice them waving, Though the not noticing who people are happened after people with a thick chain (2 of them) tried getting my phone, 2 on 1 was fair but the chain hit the top of my head and I collapsed too the ground where he whipped me over and over, after a bit I turn and look at his friend and say “are you gonna stop him?” And he did, started pulling him away, he said “are you gonna give me ur wallet” but I had stood up and took 2 steps too the left and said “Actually Im gonna run, won’t forget ur face” I start sprinting I said im gonna run, ironically after my head was glued my hair stopped coming in those area and I can’t recognise people like a sorta facial blindness, I am alive though but its lonely because I dunno if someones eyeing me up, no idea what signs I should take and what too reconsider, I need women too be more direct though and telling them I have Dyslexia is the worst, they treat what I said as poor me and they are being serious but I was saying it simply so she knew why I struggles too read or spelling and linguistic in general other than I never got educated.. I try so no one notices but parts I can train at everyday of my life and still be level 1 stats we the rest of my life and skill do improve, and giving I am 33 but no one sees me as anything younger than 25, 22 is the common age guess so I wear hats, I shave my head but most times it makes me look younger, like a teenager trying too look more dignified and mature than me dressing my age (my mother gets the shock she is anything over mid 20s until she turned 50-60, then she started doing all these stupid weight loss NHS surgeries and its cause skin ageing, I should be able too reverse the damage but no one listen too my advice usually giving my Dyselxia, ignoring my 5 year in uni dong bio chem and 10 years of studying it for fun.. Gohan from Dragon Ball Z was a perfect role model, love and enjoy learning and being strong and protecting nature. Still got my RMRS pocket fold (white with the blue outline and RMRS logo, might frame it as this channel was the start of me dressing my best and taking charge of my situation, God done all the work though, I just be open and allow God too drive me well. And I love the mix and match. Bought these a while back based upon the channel’s recommendation and discarded all my other belts.
Typically, I find that if you purchase a belt and or shoes from the same brand you will find a matching shade and vice versa.
It is a problem that shoe, watch and belt leathers are not the same type and it follows that the dye process will not lead to the same shade.
