Glad that your reviews for keyboards is just as in-depth with iems
Thanks!
well made, high quality video. keep it up
Thank you! 🙏
i just built one too, made it for someone else but i might have to get my own cus i am very impressed by the sound, feel and looks
👍
great video overall though you missed some crucial details when installing or when you're building a custom keyboard. Keep on improving! felt a great ambience while watching this video. cheers mate!
Thank you!
Amazing video, just bought one and this was so necessary. I just wish you had mentioned the silicone pad (which I don't quite know where to put) and the bandaid mods.
Glad it was helpful!
I recently built mine and honestly, it sounds so good and the only issue I had was the stabs. It's too loose for me and I had to switch it out with my other stabs I have lying around. It's not that bad on some reviews I had watched but mine was ticking prominently so I really had to replace it something better. But everything else, was pretty straight forward and honestly a fun build.
Built mine with MMD Creams linears, which sounds so good and very smooth.
ik u already replaced them, but have u tried holee modding them? helps a lot to reduce tick
@@floppyguyplays7954 will lubbing the stablizers fix the tickling issue? have you tried to lube it without the hole mode?
@@winterlasagna5367 hmm depends on the quality of the stabilizers... i would suggest lubing them first and seeing if they have ticking... if they do, then take apart the stabilizers and holee mod them. and if they dont tick then you dont have to holee mod. higher quality stabilizers usually wont require the holee mod and only need lube.
@@floppyguyplays7954 I was holee modding for a long time almost every board I have but I now refrain myself from doing so. I just don't like holee modding anymore.
Just for clarification, it's just my preferrence everyone. Holee modding is not bad.
@@lindis8030 yeah it is a tedious process, so i understand why people dont like doing it.
Cheapest Gasket mount mechanical keyboard 👍👍👍🤝
do you think this is better than the kbgm68 pro?
Where did you get and how much do you paid in keycaps?
Won’t there be interference with the cherry profile due to the board having north facing led?
how do i change the led colour?
What profile keycap in this?
link for keycaps pls! ty
Is the zouya gas67 the same thing?
My ixpe sheet holes get progressively more misaligned to one side, noticed abit of the same on yours. Did you notice it and did you have any issues fitting switches in?
hmm, i have no issues
You need a Wowstick... Yeah, I hate installing stabilizers too but Wowstick makes it easier.
By the way, in practise, you should always test the PCB before installing it into the housing. In case one of the switches pin is bend.
Ok thanks for the tip bro 🙏
i hope this keyboard brings me justice, but i'm stuck on the first step with the stabilisers because the little screws and the screwdriver are magnetic and messing me around 😭
update: i got the two stabilisers in for the space bar, and i've only got two screws left.
and the screwdriver is a star shape instead of an X :(
My stabs were not screwing in all the way, is that how its supposed to be or did I do something wrong? Your stabs dont sound rattly at all but mine does, prolly cause of that reason Im assuming
try lubbing it maybe it will sound better
the north facing leds is the only thing that stops me from buying this kit. Are there any other pcbs with south facing leds that support the kit? Or maybe there are any other similar kits which have a pcb with south facing leds?
Oh bummer
Does it have RGB?
Does it have a function key to turn off the rgb or do I need to install the software?
Yes in fact u can toggle it
please do lube your switches and stabilizers. trust me it will make a huge difference.
Is it still ideal to put tape mod and case foam?
Yes! I did the tape mod but off camera. It changes the sound a bit and makes it more thocky. Foam mod also can be done but I haven’t done that yet
You don’t need foam after tape
i think it's CIY, not CIV but it's not that big of a deal, great video btw
Thanks for the heads up, 🙏
Try use 3mm poron gasket. It'll be more flex.
Thanks for the tip!
why didnt you lube the stabs😭
also why would you get nk creams when durock poms exist
why are you using cherry keycaps with a north facing pcb
you can use cherry keycaps on north facing switches as long as the switches have a long stem (NK creams have a long stem)
What switch is used?
Novelkey cream switches
title: ciy
him: civ
Yup just a minor correction on the title but I couldn’t correct my video sorry about that.
How to f1 - f12 bro...
Press the function key and then the top row
im not sure whether its CIV or CIY
CIY
@@ianfann thanks, good build tho
Thanks 🙏
I'm too broke for this shit lmao
The keyboard itself is like 60 dollars at most you gotta buy the switches and key caps yourself though
