Great quadcopter for the beginner and advanced. This is my favorite quadcopter, so easy to fly and very durable. My last x5 series the original x5c explorer had over 300 flights before the flight board went out. Thanks Cheerwing for providing this

All around it was exacly like the original X5, great litlle quad... Donnie, every single night when we go to bed, me and my wife take a knee and pray for you... Thanks for the review! I got this one for Xmas 2 years ago but the controller didn't work. Finally got around to buying a replacement, and it actually works now! Just need to learn how to fly!

Always loved the Syma X5, they are great for learning, cheap to run, have good quality and resist to countless impacts, etc. You can even strap a small AIO fpv camera on it and start to learn FPV.

I started on a Syma X5, mine didn’t have FPV like your upgraded model. Good little trainer. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow.
Ron Brown thanks , my was the explorer 1 also. I'm not a fan of the Wi-Fi fpv. I take it off and put a 5.8ghz cam on it.
LOL, how good of range does your X5 have. Even wifi FPV should be good enough for the X5.

About 50 meters is a safe range for me when flying mine.

Hey, there's my first little drone. Lots of fun until I crashed and burned. I keep telling everybody that this is the first drone to learn on before spending big cash on DJI quadcopters. etc. Flying manually should be required when operating any aircraft since Smart Devices can and will crash at some point. It happened to me in 2016 and thanks to the experience I learned on the Syma X5, I flew it back safely when my Phantom 3 Standard GO App, crashed.

well I got it, charged up the batteries and took off. Not very well however after a few times of practice I got it to hover, flip and did not crash. I did get it hung on my palm tree but no damage!!!
There very durable and I have had major crashes and fly aways with my original x5. I have over 300 flights before the flight board went out. So it's well worth the money. Thanks so much and glad your enjoying.
Nice one Donnie, i am all for progress and innovation but if it aint broke don't fix it, sometimes they try too hard to beat the competition, the changes on this one are minimal and if you want you can fly her without the extras.

My drone is not lifting from front. It just lifts from the back and thus gets toggled. All the four fans are rotating though, but only two are lifting. Can you suggest any possible solution plz?
Please check to make sure the factory put the propellers on the right way. Sounds like the A & B propellers on switched.
my x5 has 1200mah batteries in it, and it will give my up to 18 mins of flying time in one go, but I had to shave down the battery bay box to get the bigger batteries to slide in easier I used a 25mm sharp wood chisel to shave 2mm off the ribs inside the batterie box, only thing is the bigger 1200mah batterie are 11g heaver than the 500mah batterie but I hardly noticed the extra weight it just takes a little more room to manoeuvre the drone, so fly it higher off the ground if you do stunts,
Same here with my 1100 mah battery. Which I dont mind shaving it, I strip it down to fly anyways for fun. The x5c and this series I always fly a lot for quick fun. Thank you for watching.

Walker Outdoors thanks for watching, my kids get a lot of them sense I have 5 kids😊 and I have given some to my family. A quarter of them were no good and didn't work. But I do fly all of them but the jxd tracker. Its bad with the phone app. Lol.

Ready Set Drone it flys well, just like I was using the x8 controller. Its got good range just with the x5 controller. The body is more solid then the explorer 1. Its a harder plastic. Well you know we always ditch the cam and landing gear. The 750mah battery works awesome and I hit the 10min Mark. Not bad since I have 6 of them. I havent tried the 1000mah yet to see if it fits in the battery compartment. Well thanks Kelly for tuning in. It's always a pleasure to hear from ya. Talk to ya soon, I'm going in for surgery in the morning.

You have to buy controller batteries and the drone should have the Lipo battery with it. The drone battery might be in the drone

What's the range on that?
The range is in the link in the descriptions. I only go out 150 ft or so with mine. It’s not meant for long range, it’s just a toy. Thanks for watching

No upgrade camera for this one, you have to buy another drone. You be able to mount a runcam, but I'm not sure if thats to heavy of camera. I would just upgrade to a better drone.
How large a battery can I put in mine? Other question is where to get em...

Is the throttle stick spring loaded. So if put in middle, will it stay there and drone hover, similer to an alltitude hold.
No it's not spring load, its just a upgrade version of the x5c explorer. Its a manual flyer

Is the quadcopter able to record through Mobile Data, or does it have to be through a Wifi Connection?
Thank you for watching, I really appreciate it. To answer your questions, 1st for the Wi-Fi you can record Wi-Fi video from phone or what device you maybe using. Or you can record both at the same time, the Wi-Fi and the sd card. Or you can fly without using the app. And record straight from the sd card in the camera by pressing the camera button on the controller for a few seconds. Just like the original x5c. I hope this helps and thanks again.

These cameras are just toy cameras and quality is very low. I fly mine with no camera and landing gear, Its a fun flyer for sure. Thanks again for watching

This drone is for short range, I would buy a DJI Mavic mini or Spark for that type of job.

True Drone Reviews it does, this one is a harder plastic then the x5c. So a lil more weight but I'm going to see if my 1000mah fits in the battery bay. If not the 750 gives it a good 10min flight.

50 meters my friend, but I would go less then that to make sure you have good signal. That way you don't have a fly away. Thanks my friend and hope this helps.

Over 300 flights With my 2015 Syma x5c and not this 3rd Generation I reviewed here. And if you seen all the abuse my original x5c took you’d be surprised that even lasted 300 flights.😂 Thanks for watching and take care

I was probably talking about the WiFi fpv video. I don’t have any lag in the controller unless I went out of range. Sorry this video is 2 or 3 years ago so I am not sure what part of the video.
That's what I was afraid of, crappy video. I have one and have yet to fly it outside. Doesn't have the more advanced features like GPS positioning. Good toy to putz around with but if you want higher quality video for youtube videos this is not it.
I just ordered this drone 2 days ago and eagerly await its arrival. It's a $40.00 drone - not a DJI. When it arrives, I'm going to verify that it flies, trash the camera, battery, get rid of the upper part of the case (if possible). Then I'm going to build my own arduino autopilot / control board with GPS support, get a gopro knockoff, bigger battery, video transmitter. Then boom, for less than $200 I should have a very desirable drone setup.
Plus, I'll put it on my resume and get a job out of it.
If you are building your own drone, I've seen motor sets alone that cost more than this drone. I figure why not skip the hassle and buy a platform that can already fly

The Range is only 50 to 60 meters, but I would not take it to its max range.
