Estimating Your Consumption Emissions

As part of their climate action planning, many local authorities are looking more closely at the emissions created from goods and services that are consumed in the local area but produced elsewhere.
This webinar explored a few of the most widely recognised methods to estimate these consumption emissions, for both the operational consumption of the council and the wider area. We heard how local authorities can estimate their consumption-based emissions profile and the benefits that this analysis will provide. We also heard from Martin Budd, Climate Change Manager at Hull City Council and Dr Joe Blakely from The University of Manchester, on their approach and learnings from undertaking a consumption-based inventory.
