The lead singer did his absolute best, nobody can sing like an original member, everybody has their own style and voice, people come close but not close enough, but all we ask for is the best that they can give and in doing so, the show will turn out just fine.
The back ground music is much to low, maybe that's why the lead singer is screaming instead of actually singing. No one could take the place of Tony Washington ( RIH ). He had a beautiful and unique tone to his voice. I will give these guys A for effort.

Think of how brave he was to be out there and to be OPENLY gay...Don Cornelius was sort of dismissive towards him when the group performed the song on Soul Train back in the day. back then our lead singers in groups were robust men...Dennis Edwards, Eddie Levert, L.J.Reynolds, Theodore Pendergrass - even the cats that sang falsetto - Eugene Record, Ron banks, William Hart, Leroy Burgess, Ron Banks - these cats were undeniably macho. Tony was very brave to put himself out there and decide to be who he was no matter what the cost. Motown was equally as brave in signing them. My problem with this clip is that they look like tired old fat men just going through the motions...yes we all age with time...but fellas...rolled up sleeves and tight shirts showing guts? I know their intention of honoring the group is probably sincere, but sometimes the results are neither dynamic nor superior. No offense guys, but this one doesn't work, even with one original member.
