My favorite kareoke go to song is "Love Don't Love Nobody". My choir director just happened to be at the club one night and heard me sing it. He has been messin' with me ever since!
“One Of The Best Groups Ever” My favorite songs by The Spinners are That’s What GIrls Are Made For, How Could I Let You Get Away, Love Don’t Love Nobody, Games People Play + Many Many More.....
Philippe Wynn could sing. Mighty Love, I'll Be Around, Love Or Leave, Sadie, Love Don't Love Nobody, The Rubberman, Could It Be I'm Falling In Love and many more are my favorite by The Spinners.
Before they got their current name, they were known as The Domingoes. The Brits also had a group called The Spinners, so to differentiate the two, the Brits called them "The Detroit Spinners." Their first album for Motown was called "The Original Spinners" however, yet again the Brits released it as "The Detroit Spinners". The 'It's A Shame" single's B side was "Together We Can Make Such Sweet Music " and there were two versions of it. Also, they had one other single, "We'll Have It Made" but unfortunately it didnt fare as well as 'It's A Shame'.
“Mighty Love,” for sure! “Games People Play,” a close second. My brother brought me one of their rubber bands from a concert of theirs he went to. I saw them live a few years later. One awesome unforgettable band. Still today!
The Spinners, in my opinion, are a very underrated R&B vocal group. However, The Spinners have had their share of success, and the 1970's was their peak period. My favorite song by The Spinners is "Love Don't Love Nobody". To this day, this song is my go-to song when I'm going through a major love storm!
Well, I guess I can't say that they were waiting to be in the hall of fame because now they are in. I think the last time when you did the original video apparently they weren't. But Finally inducted!, it was a long time coming. @WBPTV, I'm glad you did this one over! BTW to include their biggest single on Motown It's A Shame. A fun fact, why they were called Detroit Spinners because at that time, there was supposed to be another Spinners group in either UK or New England, so hence the name Detroit Spinners. Also, its good that you included Phillippe Wynne. He had it interesting when he had a short lived not so great solo career then went to Parliament.
Definitely not slept on where I grew up. We loved *The Spinners!!* Could It Be I'm Falling In Love, Rubberband Man, Sadie, etc. were for sure on rotation in my town. And let's talk about *Philippé Wynne!!* One of the best singers and entertainers of all time. May he RIP.
Great story on the spectacular Spinners. Some of my favorite songs by them are Mighty Love, Love Don't Love Nobody, Ghetto Child and Sadie. This legendary group left us some fabulous songs.
Motown got caught slipping, by letting this group go. I did like it’s a shame, but their cuts was definitely with Atlantic. Love don’t Love nobody and Sadie is my favorite!!!! May those members be Resting In Peace!
In Phil Wynne, they had one of the very best singers - as singer - of the whole era. Vocally, his level was up there with Cook(e) and Gay(e). No other male could touch him. He had phenomenal pipes. So all the recordings they made in which Wynne dominates, are dear to me.
@@WillieBowen-o2n Did you ever consider a career as a stand-up comedian? Wynne was in a class of his own. Cameron was good, but not even remotely as good as Wynne.
Saw this great group many times. Got to love Truly Yours. You know the Temps have 6 members in the Hall of fame. It would of been nice if you could of told us how many Spinners made it?? Is John Edwards in? Thanks for posting.
I stated the groups classic line up was inducted into the HOF which is Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, Pervis Jackson, Bobbie Smith, and Philippé Wynne
Yeah...Loved the Spinners. My favourites as followed Could it be im falling in love Games people play Ghetto child It's a shame Rubberband man Love is in season

The first Atlantic album is the bomb!!!! every song. Bobbie Smith passed away also. before Henry Fambrough
I'll be around 1972. It's in my top 3 favorite songs of all time! I can name that tune with one note.
Motown got caught slipping, by letting this group go. I did like it’s a shame, but their cuts was definitely with Atlantic. Love don’t Love nobody and Sadie is my favorite!!!! May those members be Resting In Peace!
My favorite songs are sadie and I'll be around. R.I.P. to these legends
Just as long as we have love with Dionne Warwick❤
Please do the resting place of Bobby Byrd, his right-hand man who discovered James.
What?
@iamladeegee8032 sorry wrong comment on wrong video lol.

GC CAMERON WAS THE BEST LEAD SINGER FOR THE SPINNERS
@@WillieBowen-o2n Phil Wynne was head and shoulders above any of the others.
@@WillieBowen-o2n Did you ever consider a career as a stand-up comedian? Wynne was in a class of his own. Cameron was good, but not even remotely as good as Wynne.
I love them all but i truly love Sadie, and it take a fool to learn that love don't love nobody and more enjoy
❤ 2024. For. Ever and. Ever listening ❤❤❤
One of my all time favorite R and B groups! I had their entire collection and my ex-girlfriend was directly related to Henry Famborogh.

Motown never did right by the Spinners. When they signed with Atlantic and hooked up with Thom Bell, they became huge stars.
Sadie and love don't love nobody
Bad title they are not the most slept on group heck they were more mainstream than most of the groups that were hitting at the time
I’m not saying they were slept on I’m saying Motown slept on them as they had them signed but chose to let them go where they ended up blowing up
Fuck the rock and roll hall of shame we need our own hall of fame
