The company I work for received 4million through the PPP. I would really like to know exactly how much was really paid out for the COVID pandemic relief. I know for a fact they wasn't paying out for things they were supposed to have. But didn't find out until after the pay out period. I would bet less then a million was paid out probably much less. What I do know is the company bought several new vehicles, property, and built new buildings.
This entire thing was a scam . A lot of rich people need to be in prison.

Of course there's more to the story. The company also secured $250M of private investment. But when it became clear they could not compete with established Chinese companies, those investors pulled out.
Out of the half billion in tax payer dollars given out to start up domestic production of PPE & medications, it seems only established manufacturers have delivered on their promises. All these start-ups are flailing
And this is why as a self-employed individual, I will use every bit of my profits every year to continue to grow my business and purchase equipment and things for myself. I am not paying taxes for bullet bombs or plastic gloves.
The state I live in auctions off on GovDeals, almost every month, tens of thousands of gloves, gowns, masks and sanitizer. For pennies on the dollar. 25 pallet lots for a couple hundred dollars in most cases.

There is a long history of this kind of misuse of taxpayer money over the years. When Obama was president it was "Solyndra" a new design in solar panels in a closed GM plant in Fremont, CA across the bay from SF. Never produced one panel, couldn't compete with panels made in China and you heard the same complaint in a brief voiceover in this video. You can make the gloves in the USA, but if hospitals and Dr's won't buy them, what is the point. The hospitals will cite costs and tell you how difficult it is to provide services and keep the doors open. Our government is great on ideas and spreading money around and very short on oversight and followup. If you think this is by design and some money gets siphoned off into the hands of the right people, you would be correct. Obama's "shovel ready" jobs were a joke. Sure, some money got spent on infrastructure, but a lot of it just disappeared and guess who's hands were greased. The same thing happened with Trumps spending to help small business's stay afloat during Covid shutdowns. There was all kinds of pressure from Congress and the media to get that money out ASAP with little structure set up to make sure it was all legit. Now the government is trying to get money back where it was fraudulently obtained, years after the fraud took place.
Another boondoggle……check the owners and see if the big guy got his 10%
