That story of the car blocking the way brought back memories of my time driving school bus. I don't know how many times some nimrod in a Ford Festa would try to force me to back up on a narrow street. Just for info, the average big school bus is 7 ft wide, 38 ft long, and 11 1/2 ft tall. The only other vehicles allowed on roads that is a larger straight vehicle (not a semi) is a city bus. They're 8 ft wide. Sometimes police were involved (the other guy ALWAYS had to move!), but usually, just stepping out the bus drive door would cause the car to find they needed to escape!😂 being 6' 3" and 350+ lbs and looking like I should riding a Harley instead of a school bus worked in my favor!
When I was returning my Grandchildren (3f, 1m) home, a car with a man just kept coming overtaking cars on his side. Up to me, I’m a 50 + Gran. I just pointed out that this was my side of the road and he was on my side and the other side was his side of the road. Honestly I just repeated “My side of the road your side of the road”. I think he thought because I’m a woman i would back up. I didn’t but he did eventually.😂😂😂
This begs the question about Mimi: was Mimi wearing a Moo-Moo? I’ve dealt with a few substantial rotund women in my life. Most have been gentle and sweet, and a few Mimis. Mimi reminds me of a story. A nondescript man, a Pastor by occupation, was in an airport waiting in line at the gate. Three substantial rotund women were behind in line talking loudly, and from their accent, he surmised, from the United Kingdom. He turned to them, smiling, and inquired, “Pardon me, but are you three ladies from Scotland?” To which one replied nastily, “It’s Wales, you idiot.” “I beg your pardon again. Are you three whales from Scotland?”
The property owners in the last story created their own problem. As OP stated, when they bought the property, they knew going in that they would owe the fee on both lots. They should have paid the fee on the unimproved lot (their backyard) and kept copious records ..... copy of the check before it was mailed in and a copy of the accompanying letter explaining why the second check was sent in, checking their account to see if the check was cashed and, if it was, saving the deposited check image front and back (and print both for their file). Bottom line is, they knew they were required to pay the fees on the second lot, the hell with not receiving a bill. The mind set would be like saying, I knew all along that I had to pay an electric bill, a water bill, phone bill, PROPERTY TAX BILL, but I never received the bill so how could I pay it without a bill. Of course, we all know that line of thinking is BS. During Covid I did not receive many of the usual monthly bills (YAY US Postal Service). Instead of playing the 'fat, dumb and stupid" game, I simply opened my account for each provider, downloaded a PDF of the bills I had not received, and then used the payment stub and sent in the bill. There was no legitimate excuse for OP to have not sent in the payment on the second lot. Simply photo copy the bill she did receive, white out and change the identifying information pertinent to the second lot, copy the edited bill form for a clean copy to send in with the payment. some people are their own worst enemy.
I would agree that its often better nkt to get involved with an HOA at all, but stuff happens. Often times great ppl start it for good reasons and run it well, but with everything it only takes one person to ruin it.
I was surprised in the last story that the reason the homeowners didn't get the notices wasn't because the HOA had been sending them to the empty lot. Sending them to a lawyer who didn't forward them wasn't any better. IMO the lawyer should have been held responsible for the extra fees.
Last story: Had OP been this diligent when first speaking about the second lot fee, and did some digging. All of this mess wouldn’t have happened. OP knew they were supposed to pay for the second lot, it’s mostly on them.

Story 2: The town/city should make that road a one way or make it so that there is only parking on one side of the road. Story 3: OP should have gotten the person they spoke to about the second property's fees to send them a letter saying that after looking over everything OP is ONLY responsible for the ONE fee, then OP would have had to only show that to the HOA/management company as proof that they okayed OP only having to pay the one fee. Then OP should not be responsible for the past fees, but OP has no problem paying the extra lot fee starting at that point and going forward.

Alley right of way story: I’ve noticed it’s always the people driving the overpriced POS’s that believe everybody has to give way to them. I watched one such fool challenge a fire engine responding to a medical aid call. The engine driver did his best to go around the jerk, but ended up scraping the car. Entitled driver tried to sue for damages, lost in court, and had to pay for damages to the fire engine amongst court costs. The person that had the emergency made a full recovery, so not real harm there.
The make up story. OP then tells the manager “oh but she did put her hands on me, and she was aggressive” what are you going to do?. BMW driver, explains all, they get behind the wheel and think they’re going to invade Poland.

"Entitlement" has gotten way out of hand. Managers, supervisors, clerks, etc. should IMMEDIATELY request "Karen" to leave the store and call the police. Press charges. The extinction of this behavior will go a long way to making shopping more pleasant.
