Why wasn't 'Carol' prosecuted for fraud and racketeering ?

  • @AndyJade-df6dj

Carol should have been arrested and sent to prison, selling a house under false ownership is highly illegal and should have landed her in several years of prison.

How would the shady lady not be in prison for selling someone's house and removing al their belongings? Also how would they get everything back after someone else moved in within a short week. Also who turns their phone off when they have children at someone elses house? Unrealistic.

even if judge was kinder since she returned everything...but there is still the pressing issue of forged signature, creating fake documents, lying in court

I would think that this would qualify as Grand Theft. It's a Felony, Carol should be sitting in prison. OP should file a criminal complaint against her, so should the would be buyer.

How is it HOAs are allowed to continue without being buried in lawsuits and its board members sent to prison. The shit you hear about is nuts and if these stories are true, people should be in prison for this crap. Just getting your house back is not nearly good enough.

Calling bullshyte on the first story as we had not an HOA official but a management company official for the HOA doing similar with townhouses in our complex. Not only was the official on the hook civilly but the management company went bankrupt and out of business after paying out restitution and the management company got to spend some number of years as a guest of the state.

People like that don’t usually file new documents with the county registrar, and it’s easy to go and get a copy of the deed especially if you can prove you are the person named on it

True but it also said that their stuff had been put in storage by the HOA president. I also think she would not have given them access to that stuff until things were settled so the HOA could charge them fraudulently as well. Personal opinion if mine is that it might be in the things that get left out to prevent doxxing

Lots of people use safety deposit boxes for these things, especially in places with adverse weather, like tornado alley, or Florida, where you can have the house and contents destroyed. They hope the vault is strong enough to survive intact.
