Story 1: Why didn't they take her grandfather to court for embezzlement? He had offered to take over the management of the business so that the resulting fortune could benefit the family. He had not been told that he was allowed to help himself or that any financial compensation for his help within the family was authorised, so he would have had to transfer 100% of the profits, which he definitely did not do.
I would have sued the man for every single cent that he had illegally appropriated and then sent him to prison for embezzlement.
