Yep, all his attacks still in fact throw you 80 feet away and hurt like hell, that’s mah boy
the big wing stabs when electrified will 1 shot from 100% HP and 15 thunder resist with 600 defense. Just killed him today lol.
@@zeehero7280 now I don’t know about one shot😅 I’ve slayed him in 3 games and Sunbreak Astalos does the lowest damage. The best way to deal with him is definitely to be aggressive
I've always loved his insectoid-like design! But after learning that Duramboros and Banbaro are actually mammals just with the brute wyvern skeleton, it made me genuinely wonder if Astalos was a neopteron but with the flying wyvern skeleton.
I mean it is a Flying Wyvern, with four limbs just like the rest of the class. Whereas Neopterons have six limbs.
So the way I see it, it would sorta be the other way around
He might be a relative of neoptreon and slowly evolved to be a flying wyvern

I really like it, I do feel it's less intense than before, but I definitely appreciate all the little details that were added! Its incredible!

Personally, I think the sudden pause gives Astalos a sense of unpredictably. And they added more impact in the theme to reflect how Astalos slams its prey, while not going as hard like Brachydios. They kinda also keep the "chasing" vibe to it. Since Astalos will not stop chasing you till you're dead. Which means you and Astalos are in a back and forth situation where you are chasing each other down.
Im waitin for Gore's theme

There's two monsters that use electric guitars in wildly different ways.
Zinogre's is wild, active, fast, frantic.
Astalos is majestic, dominant, regal, powerful.
Excuse me? Those descriptions sound better switched around.
@@furyfossil4407 maybe for new world zinogre since it seems to not overkill its animations to where it has alot more finesse and control.
Old world zinogre is going to fry as many things as it has to so long as you are one of them with the eagerness only perhaps matched by mine if glavenus returns in sunbreak with alot of overcommit
Edit: but if we go by worlds theme especially when those drums kick in...may.need to rethink that point but that is towards Seliana not towards Kamura
I agree on Fury Fossil here, Astalos isn't about being majestic. He's wild to the point he crushed a literal Velocidrome and even brings the king of the sky down to the ground, if that isn't quick and wild idk what is. And both Zinogres are quite majestic and have some finese to their moves. Which is why he's known for his break dancing moves and stomps.

Man I wish I could've been as into rise as I was into MHGU, I really would've loved to hear this on a hunt
God the new parts of the theme make it for me even better than the generations theme, yes I think that the previous theme felt more powerful but the new one gives even more personality, and it even sounds triumphant in a way, glad he came back
Yeah that’s the thing I feel about the old themes compared to the new ones. The new ones do give the monsters more personality while the old ones have punch for the sake of being “punchy.” Which is absolutely fine because they were powerful, but I do think people need to lighten up to the softer themes of the remixes.
And also the punch in og Astalos’ theme gave it personality too, since he’s so damn vicious!

One of the few themes which I clearly prefer over the original. Rise has many good themes, but I think some of them lack the same punch as the original ones had.

I’m so glad they didn’t add any choir shenanigans to his music because that would totally ruin the entire mood and atmosphere of this bad@ss song, i was kinda worried a bit that the composers would add choirs like they did in the other monsters theme (some of were somewhat fitting others are kinda odd and out of place) but I’m so glad they didn’t this time for mah boii Astalos is pure embodiment of bad@ssery the signature metal electric Guitar is all it needs 🎸😎😁👌👍
Wait... where are the vocals?
This has the low energy instruments of rise but without the vocals needed to bring some energy into them. It just sounds like a wet fart.
Whatever, maybe it will grow on me.
