I watched your entire Camino videos from start to finish. I will be walking the Camino for the first time in 2020 when I am 70 years old!!! I gained so much info from your videos and certainly took down notes. You made me laugh at your funny comments and I can hardly wait for my adventure.
Loved your production and of course your journey Efren! I did the Camino with my wife. She is still working and I'm recently retired so our time was super limited to a week. Naturally, we had to pick Sarria as a starting point. Your video brought back the lovely memories we have of Galicia and the people and pilgrims we met there. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us out there. Buen Camino
Great VLOG! What time of year did you do this one? I'll also be doing my first Camino next Spring (2020) after finally retiring at the end of 2019. I'll be 71 :-).
maria flores my daughter and I walked it last spring....I’m 70... and injured just before I left....determination, tears and so much laughter got me through. Best days of my life....there isn’t a day goes by where some wonderful flash back brings memorable memories.
In two weeks time, I am undergoing surgery for weight loss, with a view to starting my Camino next year, your videos are keeping me motivated and hopefully I will get the health and mobility back to complete this undertaking. Keep moving forward you are really helping others like me to strive to improve our health to follow in your footsteps.
We are just home from walking the Camino and we watched all of your videos (well those you had posted) before we went! Am enjoying them even more and reliving my memories! Thank you so much...you have done an AMAZING job!
This Camino actually changed my life, I have lived a life of 24/7 but when took my first steps up the mountain it released a passion for Spain and walking. My grandfather was Spanish and my walk wasn't without drama's spending the night in San Pedro Hospital after collapsing. Suffering from dehydration, waking up with 4 stitches on my nose and 2 black eyes taking the drip at of arm and catching a taxi back to Najera to get my backpack and walk in the pouring rain to Santo Domingo.
SummitXtreme Love both. Complete different experience. We are looking forward to your Vlog. Of the Primitivo! Exciting times!! The Camino is just magic. Magnetic power on ones foot soles. 😊 We are doing the Primitivo in October this year. Happy walking!
you are very right. i took my headphones but I never used them during the walk... NATUR is the best actor and entertainer.. thanks for sharing. bless you
All your videos are great! They set the standard for Camino Vlogs! For those who have not walked the Camino Frances yet, if you have any concerns at all about your fitness then spent the first night at Orisson (where Efrén had breakfast), there is a very good communal dinner experience and you will meet people who you will see during the whole Camino. Your bunk and dinner will cost about 38 Euros, which might seem high for the Camino, but for me it was worth it.
I have watched your whole trip and loved every minute of it. I walked the same route in May 2016 except I walked on to Muxia before getting a bus to Fisterra. You did the Way real justice with your videos. Nice one Efren.
Making plans to walk the Camino next April (2020). These videos are great for a newbie like me to get a flavour of what it feels like to start off on the journey. I appreciate the effort you've taken in compiling this vlog, and the work that's gone into making them. Thank you.
Your Camino videos are by far my favorite that I have found on RUclips! I am watching Day 07 right now. Very well done! I am going from April 8th to May 24th, 2018, so it is great to get an idea of what the weather could be like for me. I can't wait. :-)
I walked the Camino in 2017 & was planning to walk again this year! So I've been walking at home in NZ ,am part of a Virtual Camino group & re-watching your fantastic videos which I devoured in 2017😊👍Thank you!!!
"The Wall... too soon?" that is funny!! I had to quickly look at when you published this video. I'll be watching your videos in sequence and thank you so much to people like you who take the time to educate us all! I'm planning on an April 2019 trip and I'm looking forward to watching not just the scenery and your life philosophies but also your photo and video techniques. But I'll be bringing a small Sony mirrorless. A Canon DSLR with a 24-70 is just plain crazy. I, too hope to publish my take on my Camino Way, Just hoping for continued good health. Buen Camino!
El Camino Francés sigue siendo la madre de los Caminos, fue el primero y caminé demasiado rápido y no aprecié la historia, pero después de ver tus vlogs volveré a caminar por última vez.
Finally I found the video I've been looking for ☀️🌷😂. I wanted to see the climb up the Pyrenees to get an idea of its difficulty. I live up in a town at 8000 ft above sea level so I think I'll be fine. I love the misty parts ❤️ we're presently in our monsoon season and it's gonna be mist for 3 months 😂. Thank you Efren 🌷 your video prepares me well ☀️
I will watch all the videos... I did the Camino in July-August (2018) and I was looking for information for my photos and I found out your videos. Thank you for sharing your experience. And I am looking forward to see all those footage from the drone... It's a different perspective. By the way... The red and white and blue stripes that you see (saw) in some parts of the Camino... They are routes. In case of the white-blue-white it means that you are in a European long-distance paths (or only E-path), and there is one called E3 path that covers many countries in Europe, and it goes along the Camino de Santiago. The red-white is another long-distance footpath, but this one doesn't cover so many countries in Europe. The name of this one is Grande Randonnée (or Gran Recorrido, or simply GR). In this case you/we walked in the GR65. There is another curiosity with the indications. You might see along the way some blue arrows (I think I saw it in Santiago de Compostela or on the way to Finisterre/Fisterra). Well, some people say that is to indicate the Camino backwards... Others believe that is to indicate the route to Fátima (in Portugal). Sorry for the long comment... Ultreia!
good point on the hiking poles. i was thinking about bringing them, but as you say its only one day in the camino where you really need them. great video.
Doesn't look like I'll be walking a Camino this summer. Hope and pray that these turbulent times in the world change soon. Until then I'm walking the Camino vicariously through your videos, lol. Mind you, I've walked it six times already, three different routes, lol. I really enjoyed Saint Jean Pied de Port. Such a lovely little French/Basque town and those first steps out the stone rampart onto the Camino the first morning are almost magical to experience.
I also chose not to listen to music at all along the Camino. At home, I’m listening to music all the time, and I wanted to live a completely different life on the Camino. It was the right decision. I had nothing but blue skies and sun for most of my Camino. I only got the rain on one day close to Santiago and then two days on the way to Finisterre. Clear skies and sun versus walking in the fog make for two completely different Caminos.

Morgan Doel honestly I didn't have a cellphone plan in Spain. I only relied on wifi at the Albergues and bars. Never made a reservation myself but I did see a lot of people doing it and it worked for them. I was also on the shoulder season. If you are walking in the summer then I highly recommend you do them. Buen camino my friend.
joe it wasn't hot enough for bed bugs. I had a sleeping bag and most albergues provided clean sheets. I also saw people spraying their beds to kill them. Hola gloria, gracias! En mi opinión no es necesario quedarse en Orisson pero cada cual hace el camino a su propio ritmo. Creo que me tomo unas dos o tres horas en llegar ahí. es un albergue bien pequeño y no hay nada alrededor.
Hi Efren, I have a hard question foe you, if you only have 10 days to do the French and you really want to finish at SDC, how would you distribute those ten days / stages? And coming back to do rest is not an option!! Thank you.
To be honest with you. The last ten days are not the best. Forget the compostela it's just a piece of paper. Start in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port or better yet walk from Le Puy en Valley to Conques
The Flickering cause by 60 mhz.... europe is 50 mhz you said.... but how does that affect you editing in Florida? What gear was affected? (formatting the cards?) still don't understand.
Its visual flicker and doesn't affect anything else. If you set the shutter to 50 it goes away but I did not notice it on my small LCD screen. I believe you can also change it on the camera settings which I will do on my next trip the via francigena.
so nothing to do with europe. amazed with your agility with the 5D and gorilla. you must have applied post steady shot to iron out the jitter. and guessed your framing. Your narration was very good but it was always you in the frame. Hard to believe your framing. They just finished and Droned alot. ruclips.net/channel/UCrLTabOV29R-5v6zWTlEKyA (we in the UK look forward to leaving the EU regulations..... one of which prohibits a Still shot camera running more then 30 mins of video at a time.)
Very professional and well done. I like the thoroughness! I’m currently am on Day 8, and will watch them through to the end. I walked the French Route in ‘16. Walked the Portuguese in ‘17. Thought about bringing my Mavic, but couldn’t at the last minute. Did you have any hassles with it? Great job,
Thank you nachjer. Didn't have a problem with the mavic. Only one store owner had a problem with it but after a talk he didn't mind it anymore just curious. I was very discreet as to not bother others.
Efrén me di cuenta mientras seguia escuchandote... Me encantan tus vlogs y me faltan por ver. Gracias por compartir... El Camino me llama- bien fuerte- plan original es ir en Mayo 2021- todo depende que pase a finales de agosto en el trabajo! ☺️

My wie and I walked the Camino at 70, arrived Santiago 10/5/18. Trekking poles and trail runner shoes a half size larger than every day shoes!

Just love your original dialogue amigo, each of your camino's it changes ever so slightly as you mature.
Great videos! Finally looked at the filmed date and realized you started one day before I did.
Brother gotta say I’ve watched heaps on the camino as prep. Yours is by far the best in terms of everything. So enjoyed it. Thank you.
Good video of your Camino, thanks

Btw...the Primitivo is less crowded and you may walk a day, not seeing any peregrinos.
...and, add the way to Muxia as a cherry on top. You will smile all the way🙂

Oh well done - looking forward to reliving the Camino with you. Amazing camera work. Thank you!

One of the best series on the Camino hands down 👊 well done dude

And coming back to do rest is not an option!!
Thank you.
To be honest with you. The last ten days are not the best. Forget the compostela it's just a piece of paper. Start in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port or better yet walk from Le Puy en Valley to Conques
@@Walk_with_Efren muchas gracias hermano 👍
Buen consejo .!
What month is this? May (2017)? Thank you.
April- May 2017. Specific dates on the video's description.
They just finished and Droned alot. ruclips.net/channel/UCrLTabOV29R-5v6zWTlEKyA
(we in the UK look forward to leaving the EU regulations..... one of which prohibits a Still shot camera running more then 30 mins of video at a time.)
Nachjer, If someone could only do one route which would you recommend? French? Portuguese?
Theodore Rzepski the French Route has a lot of cool things on it. The Portuguese Route is less travelled. I would choose the French Route.
Thanks nacjer
How did you get the shot of you walking along?
DJI Mavic pro drone

So if 260mhz was the wrong setting, what was?

At 0:26. Dude!, it is not megahertz per second, only 60 hertz. Otherwise great videos, love them.
That's exactly what my dad, the engineer, told me. What can I say. It slipped my tongue.
What time of year did you go? :D
Mid April
