    I like your tips, your insight, and especially your sense of humor. I loved it when you said, “Wilson,” when you tossed your walking stick into the stream. 😊

    Another great video - bringing back lots of great memories - you definitely need to consider making DVDs for each of your treks so that people can watch these episodes on TV.

    These are great videos. Thank you so much. My son and I were on the trail the same time with you. We started a few days later. We arrived in St. Jean 27Apr2017 and started walking 29Apr. We stayed a little too long in Orisson having a few beers with the locals and other Pilgrims. We left Orisson about 6pm for Roncesvalles. We were warned not to go as a storm was coming, but the Albergue was full and we were not going back down to St. Jean. So, you guessed it, we got stuck in a snowstorm and had to sleep in the goat shelter on the right as you cross into Spain. Not the nice concrete shelter. The rock goat hut. The two of us and another couple from Paris. The winds reached 86mph and the day we finally made it off the mountain, they closed it. 3 People had to be rescued.
    Your videos are a great trip down memory lane. Thank you so much for sharing. Oh, the funny part. If you saw the movie "The Way," my son is named Daniel and we were caught on top the Pyrenees mountains after being warned by the locals not to go. Yes, everyone laughed at us for days.

    Last time I stayed at the albergue in Roncesvalles I remember the lights coming at 0600 I think, and we were all woken by an older gentleman, one of the hospitalero's who was singing "hallelujah, hallelujah.....hallelujah".
    2:20 I would have LMAO if that rude bicyclist had taken a dip in the drink.
    I've stayed in Zubiri before. You can buy some cheap trekking poles there, too. There and in Pamplona and Puente de la Reina.

    I’m thankful for you posting your Camino. I’ve been thinking of doing it for a few years now, just have to find the time, along with the spare money, to do it. I’m drawn to do it I feel. Watching your posts has lit a fire within to seriously find the time and means to go. Thanks.

    I stayed in Zubiri a couple of times on the Camino. It's a nice little town and has that cool bridge and we went wading in the river. I know there's a plant nearby I can't say I heard the noise of industry at all there.

    Greetings from Northern California, I did the Camino Sept/Oct of 2017. I loved it but if I do it again it will be in Springtime, I like green. Before my El Camino I watched multiple Camino blogs, but then after I got back nothing until now, maybe I was burned out on it. I might be getting the El Camino bug again.

    Estoy viendo que tus videos estan fabulosamente bien hechos, y muy explicados las tomas de dron ¿tu las hiciste?
    Me gustó mucho que al final des lo que gastaste, eso me va a ayudar mucho, mi ingles es muy malo, me hubiera encantado que fueran en español, pero aun así te felicito, voy a verlos todos y a recomendarlos.

    • @Walk_with_Efren
      @Walk_with_Efren  7 лет назад +1

      Gracias Aaron! Los hice en inglés porque me siento más cómodo improvisado que en español. Las tomas de drone son todas mías. Lleve un DJI Mavic pro conmigo en el camino.

    Have you seen the English comedian, Dom Joly? You have a doppelganger! Great videos (I've only watched 2 so far). Is there a screen on the drone controller so you can see what you are getting? But when you are walking and talking to the camera you are holding it in your (left) hand, right? I hate poles (or sticks). Didn't you find that the stick you picked up was useless? You threw it away at the end of the second day, the same day that you found it. The number of people you see with them who are not really using them, just going click, click, click, as they walk along. IMO they are a waste of money and weight. They might be useful for a few minutes out of 6-8 hours walking going downhill, but just be extra careful.

    • @Walk_with_Efren
      @Walk_with_Efren  6 лет назад +1

      Don't know Dom Holy but I will look him up. I used the DJI APP on my iPhone to see the stone's feed. Yes I would hold my camera with my left hand (lefty here) but I did take a small and compact tripod that I didn't use enough. As for the poles looking back I wish I would have taken them. They are great to easy the load off your back and help on the way down. Also if you get injured, have blisters or your achilles tendons hurt (it happened to me) they are a life saver. I did throw away the stick I found but I came across others and used them as the days passed by.
