I've was probably 95% driving, 5% spannering but with each passing year of Marty & Moog it's more and more about the community, working on the projects and the driving...
Look into the TNGA platform. The GR Corolla is most definitely running the same stuff the GR Yaris is. They are simplifying and lego block-esque their chassis and drivetrain stuff now.
Moog dropping Marty's Gemini/Tesla project was so funny with Marty just talking past it. Let's not give away any secrets for upcoming episodes on that other channel.

I love that y’all can get away with driving a 600cc car on the streets there. 1.6 turbo in the us feels like you have to really ring its neck just to keep up with all the 6.3L v8 suvs here

I have a GR Yaris and was going to get a Golf R before the GR came along.
After driving both I believe the GR is much better for its driving experience. You feel so much more connected to what the car is doing under you rather than the numb feeling the R gives you.
The R may be quicker but it certainly doesn't give you the same feeling in yer loins as the GR Yaris.
I am 99% watching RUclips about fixing cars and 1% fixing them :-)

The lunacy of the price of vintage gaming is due to companies who acredit said items inflating the prices when rating them. There has been a tonne of controversy surrounding collectors conspiring with acreditors to massively inflate the price. Not really the same as the supply and demand argument. Our fellow Aussie and absolute legend Goldeneye speed runner, Karl Jobst has done a great video on this.
You need to check out the Toyota Blade Master if you can. Basically a Toyota Corolla/Auris with the 3.5L V6 2GR-FE engine in it. I believe it's the lightest car Toyota ever made with that 3.5L V6 in it and they're definitely available in Australia!

A pickle in a bag became popular at carnivals. No dirty hands or tongs reaching in the jar to grab a pickle and they're all of similar size.
Big time love hanging in the garage and hanging with some friends. Where I live we have a super friendly old guy on a scooter that strolls around the complex and when he sees my garage open he stops and we just sit and chat with each other. Definitely don't get what I wanted done but always enjoy speaking with him
Moog, the batting sleeve is very simple: bat with a heavier bat, to create more inertia, so that when you do bat, you naturally create more force/speed which equals a big, satisfying pop.

What’s nuts to me is remembering being blown away as a kid, thinking some other kids dad just dropped him at school in a hsv clubsport (vs / vr era) with 175kw…. Now the GR Yaris and Corolla will get a decent chunk more out of a 3 cylinder.

Prices of used cars are nuts, especially large 4wd’s. Bought my patrol 1 month before the spicy cough hit Australia for 12k, and at the height market price indicated 100% increase. All it means for me is my insurance premiums go up as intended always to keep it long term and do a 4.5 Cummins swap on it when the zd30 pops.Same for my classic fords. No intention of selling, I enjoy them too much to sell. I feel for all those that have increased premiums because of this and having to pay more to hawks cashing in on original parts.

Prices of used cars in my part of Canada are ridiculous right now. I saw a pickup truck with a blown motor, blown transmission, and a rusted out broken frame for $500.
A bat sleeve, or a doughnut as we called them when dinosaurs roamed the earth, is a magical device used when you're on deck in baseball. A few swings with the extra weight makes your bat feel lighter at the plate. You feel like superman for a few mins.
As for car cruises vs. car meets vs. working on a car with mates, absolutely working on a car is the more enjoyable experience for me. I find at car meets the really modified cars that have had heaps of work done to them don't attract as much attention as stock cars + cut springs + expensive wheels. Car cruises can be fun but because the speed limits are so crazily enforced here I'd prefer to go to a track day.

In the UK, I had a GR Yaris for a year and 8k miles (13k km), took it on the NC500, did 2 trackdays and it was great but nowhere near as fun to me as my S2000 and therefore it has been sold for exactly what I paid for it. Can't fault it for free motoring but I think rally cars are less my thing and RWD sports cars are more my thing.
Can't wait to see the roadtrip. Think that gasket seal stuff will hold????? Can't wait to find out.
Yeah, I wouldn't trust that at all. Better to buy a gasket material and cut out your own. If high temp one is available.

Probably late to the news, The last ever (NEW) LIberty was sold in WA couple of months ago. You guys know about this right? Subaru Australia stopped the Liberty to start selling the new WRX wagon which also won't last, because people want SUVs. AND THE GR Corolla may not come to Aust. US exclusive, because they don't have the GR yaris
I'm 90% working on, 10% driving... love building cars, been doing it for years. I enjoyed the driving part a lot more when fuel was a 1/3 of the price lol

One thing to keep in mind with the increase in used car pricing. Make sure your current car is not underinsured. Adjusted my insurance for my 350z as they valued it at $8k but good luck finding any 350z second hand for that price. On average, 350z's are going for $15k.
Ive been looking at a M35 Stagea on car sales and this video just made me reconsider.
This one was high kms and was a company vehicle in a past life - they're probably fine if they've been looked after. I was looking at a G35 as well that also had the CAS issue.

Just completed a road trip Rockhampton to Queanbeyan with my younger son & my wife. My son & I are doing up a couple of 75 Galants! love a road trip but not as much as I love spending time tinkering with cars with my boys ;) it's really a freaky that the Charade is a "Charade" LOL PS did you chech that the Crank case ventilation line was clear (PCV working & not blocked) ? Helps stop oil leaks! looking foward to the road trip :)
