What kind of a useless sequel is this to the previous video. While he said in part 1 that if you're not able to see display in the nvidia control panel, you need to first set your discrete gpu as default but then he did and it still did not come and he ignored and went ahead and closed the video. I would like to support people making content but please note that watching all these videos takes up a lot of my time and patience when I am already looking for a solution and then there are people with fake accents trying to baulk nonsense.

I just watched a video tutorial from this guy on how to restore missing settings like "video" in the Nvidia control panel. And yet, in this follow-up tutorial that was to demonstrate how to restore those settings if his other methods didn't work by making Nvidia the default graphic card,, he says here that these settings are not in the Nvidia panel on a laptop because they are "handled" by the less powerful Intel graphics card. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

After I've swithed to nvidia card my display scaling has changed quite a bit
the taskbar and titles of programs feels bigger and the cursor too!
Make it default...nvidia is dedicated GPU and main display of laptop is handled by ipgu so yaaa nvidia is mainly for games display
its cause your screen res got smaller, so instead of 1080p you are in 720p

I think i found out finnaly go to manage display mode in 3d settings then u click on nvidia gpu only

@@kabourijaouad7247 I ended up having to do some other workarounds. The display settings never showed up, but simply getting the system to universally use the Nividia card by default managed to fix my video capture problems. My laptop runs warmer now, and there is an option to select which programs use the integrated card and which use the Nvidia one. I'll mess with that more in the future.
@@corneliusbelmont2684 Hey, can you tell me how you made the system see the Nvidia card as the default? I tried just disabling integrated graphics on my computer and seeing how that works out. What I saw was black. My monitor only has VGA because an acquaintance borrowed my good one and my graphics card doesn't accept VGA, so I just plugged it into my monitor.

I DID NOT GET PREFFERED GRAPHICS PROCESSOR ON MANAGE 3D SETTINGS
2:07 But I need to worry about that display setting when I want to set the resolution to 4:3 1440x1080 :////. If it´s not there, it suppose to be in Intel GPU software centre, but it is not there as well. How do i change to this stretched resolution? Can anybody help me?

@@montebono9944 no :///. And it's probably a dead end for laptops, because monitor is connected to motherbord by the way, which is not allowing to get the change I need. Monitor is not conneted to nVidia GPU (it is not because the nVidia drivers are not working like it should when it is connected to) neither to Intel iGPU because the change is not possible in Intel graphic centre. The whole laptop software is some kind of a "working hybrid", and as the IT sphere says: "If it's working, let it be." But if I find something, I will notify you.

Im running a rtx 3080 laptop with and ryzen 9 5900 hx. I tried everything in the video and even disabling the integrated GPU, nothing worked and the display settings still wont show.
Im having the same issue with a 3050 ti
Ryzen is and AMD lineup, right? I'm pretty sure AMD processors don't come with integrated graphics, which means your computer is using the dedicated graphics card by default.

when you choose nvidia GPU display for default! then you must notice when you unplugs your laptop(running on battery mode, not charging), the display works bit laggy, you don't get it so smooth when it is running on optimus mode, isn;t it❓❓ if anyone ever faced this then plz tell me the solution🙏
