Sounds perfect! Hey how's this set up working for you and how long have you had both on the truck? Thinking about getting the exact same two products after hours of research... Glad to find a video with the exact set up I'm thinking about
I’ve had the exhaust on for a few days. I’ve had the intake for a little over a month. I noticed some light gains with the intake. It sounds real dope too just by itself. The exhaust compliments it very nicely. The exhaust gets nasty sounding when you accelerate and purrs softly when you’re cruising. Throttle response has tightened up a little. Truck feels noticeably quicker off the line and feels better on the highway. It’s def a solid combo to go with. Getting a KD Maxx tune soon as well.
I don’t have any concrete data to back it up but with the combo of the cold air intake and the exhaust the truck def has a bit more pep in its step. Throttle response seems a bit faster too. I thought about getting an OTT tune as well but the more I drive it the way it is now the more I feel like I don’t need it. I’ll get it tuned for whenever I upsize tires to 35’s.
@@MrBallsOfficial Thank you for the information! Keeping mine stock for now but tune and exhaust is in the back of my mind lol. The carven sounds super good, I wish I could hear one in person to tell if it’s gonna be too loud for my taste. I like it sounding good but don’t wanna look like a jackass either 🤣
You'll never make 300hp to the wheel without boost. The V6 is rated 278hp at the crank and factoring driveline loss should make about 180-200whp in stick form
Hey sorry for the late reply. I just saw this comment now. Here’s the link. carvenexhaust.com/products/2016-2021-toyota-tacoma-cat-back-ceramic-coated-black-5-5-single-tip I also have a brand new still in the box carven exhaust I’m trying to sell. It’s for a long bed but I’m sure you can cut a foot off a section to fit a short bed.
I did not do any sort of tune to accommodate the exhaust. However I suspect the Toyota dealer did an update or something because when I had it in for its factory service it drove like it had a horsepower and torque gain when I left the place. As far as I know you do not need to tune the ecu.
It’s the TR series for the Tacoma. It specifies this on other websites like Extreme Terrain and also when I emailed them to ask if they’d make a Tacoma system with the R series for me 😂. They said no…
Great sound
I’ve got the same setup on my MT 2019 Offroad, she’s mean!!
I have been debating this same set up lol but I can’t find anyone that have the exhaust videos for a MT

@@MrBallsOfficial can you post a view once you get the tune?
I’ve been looking for exactly this! Thank you so much man. I’ll be ordering both of these soon!
Any horsepower gain? I’d like an exhaust and OTT tune hoping it would hit the 300hp mark that’s all I want lol

Did it take a while for this to come in? I ordered mine directly from carvens website in January and it hasn’t even been shipped yet

This is a straight pipe ?
do you need to tune the ecu for this?

Which exhaust tip is this?
It’s just the carven tip that comes with the exhaust kit.
Is this the r series or tr series?
Not sure. I’m not seeing either specified for this exhaust on Carvens site.

@@Shanes.Gainzzzyea there’s no off the menu options from them unfortunately lol. I wanted a dual tip just for the looks and they were like nah lol
Any drone?
No drone. At least for me.
What’s drone?
Had this exhaust but after a few months, the shit got annoying lol
I feel that. It’s not for everyone. I’ve had mine for a year now and it hasn’t annoyed me so far. Think I’m good haha
Any drone on the highway?
None. I’ve pretty much enjoyed this exhaust in all driving conditions over the past year and a half. I can’t recommend it enough!
