It's a nice pickup, but the price relegates it to the well-heeled. But, aside from that, it is such a huge upcharge over the 1794 for very little in additional/changed equipment. The other thing I've noticed about all Tundra's is the vinyl wrap around the A-pillars and B-pillars. It's not always lined up from front to rear door. It also seems to me that they should paint it black vs. wrap black for durability, especially on the A-pillar that takes the bugs and is subject to road debris.
Worth every penny? Not while they have 100k in recalls. I'm a huge Toyota fan. Thats all ive had for the last 20yrs. A person is either very well off, or just gullible to pay $80k .
@@halffull5384 Nicely said. Me to with having Toyota for the last 30 years. But the V6 Tundra engine scares me with the catastrophic failures. And no repair in the world makes the vehicle the way it is suppose to be coming out of the factory.
$10K $10K is the most I will pay for a vehicle. I don’t commute so mileage and fuel economy is no big deal. Currently drive a 2002 Tacoma with 185K miles.
Thought about replacing my 2021 Tundra, with a new Tundra…. But Bought 2014 FJ Cruiser with 97k miles in mint condition for 1/3 the cost Built in Japan ✅ More rugged ✅ Waaaayyy better quality ✅ Better off road ✅ Will last forever ✅ Never been happier
Seems like he’s forced to say certain things, but one of his videos he mentioned about the engine failure but then he is more cautious with his review on the tundras, I could be wrong
@@johnnyfreeman1018 The Donald wants tariffs on vehicles built in Mexico. And any car built in the US but using foreign made parts might be eligible as well. I haven’t read anything about that yet. Wouldn’t be surprised if it happened. Gonna take quite a while to return all or most manufacturing to America. Years probably. So tariffs until then? And the countries having tariffs put on them, will they just shut up and take it? Or maybe add tariffs of their own on American made goods? Just askin’as the young would say
The good old days for good quality vehicles equipped with strong and reliable engines is over for the time being, we must put the heavily regulatory prone government back in the trash bin of history.
This was a frustrating video to watch compared to your other content on Tundras. You never really got into what makes a Capstone different than other models. You sort of ripped on it compared to a TRD Pro but didn’t get into how they are different. You went on a brief test drive with the heads up display lit up right in front of you but not a word about it. Sunshades in back windows? No word. Heated/cooled seats in back? No info. Frustrating.
Hate to tell you, but I've seen more Capstone's than TRD Pro's in my neck of the woods. Don't get me wrong, I'd be all over a TRD Pro if they'd grow up and lose the embarrassing camo patterns everywhere. I don't need a MAGA truck, for the money, I'd take a 1794.
25% overpriced. These tundras are sitting on dealer lots over 200 days. $10,000 off MSRP is the highest you should pay. And dealerships will take it if you stand firm. Dealerships are dying to get rid of these tundras. Repos are at a historic all time high so no one is buying new. Dealerships are dying. They're losing their ass so never offer more thab $10,000 below MSRP. They'll either take it or pass and then go to the next dealer.

Love the new thumbnail and do these come with the failing engines standard? 😂
Prices are insane 80k for a pickup!!
In 5 years your out 50k in depreciation
same year/trim here in Eastern Canada $96 426
They could sell many more of these if they offered addtional interior color choices.

Buy certified pre-owned! My 24 Tundra would have been 72k from the factory but I got it under 58k with less than 5k miles.
Capstone model is definitely high priced I just purchased my first tundra 2025 platinum TRD OR 6.5ft crew max for $65k
Worth every penny.
Absolutely stunning.
Worth every penny?

Are the motors still blowing up?
$10K

That's very unreasonable. For $10k you will always drive something that's clapped out. At least 25k and you'll get something great
I'm sure the 4 turbo and 3 radiator time bomb will be great!!
This is a 2024 Capstone. Not a 2025!!! They we not arrive till January 1, 2025.
The closest Lexus has ever gotten to releasing a pickup truck.
I'd rather have this trim than the platinum or trd pro for my uses.
Toyota tundra is a cool looking truck

97k miles is mint condition?
@ - when it’s a Toyota FJ - yeah, that thing will easily go 350k+ miles…
Oh, let me go out and purchase 2, at that bargain price. 😂
80 k = Insanity
I hear Toyota will drop prices on these by 18 grand soon, I also hear other voices. It’s worth 60 grand max
They’ll drop the prices but sky rocket the interest rates lmao
...for two rails and a bed. Screw that
If you can afford the payments more power to you👍
Toyota seems to be doubling down, KIA quality with Lexus prices. 😂
Don't treat KIA like that 😂
You’re crazy. I was in a head on MV A and my platinum saved my life. That’s why I’m buying a new one
This is a sharp looking pickup but good grief at that price. I get it's a luxury trim but the prices are getting super absurd.
Love the look of them but that fuel mileage sucks for a v6 hybrid
Seems like he’s forced to say certain things, but one of his videos he mentioned about the engine failure but then he is more cautious with his review on the tundras, I could be wrong
The $80,000 tundra that could be reliable ans luxurious at the same time
No thanks!
“Massive” Grill huh
Does it grip? 1:50
The air vents are also very cheap as though they look like they've been paid with cheap spray paint.
3.4l hybrid pickup truck 😂😂 should be a meme, thats crazy
I thought they were changing the high touch areas to black in the 2025 models. That cream color gets dirty quick 🤦🏾♂️
They are, at least the center console, this is a 24 model.
@michaels7984 oh ok I guess the title is misleading then, I thought it was a 2025
The average American makes 50 to 60k annually, and this truck is 80k, not to mention taxes. Let them keep it!
That's why they have different trim levels. This is the most expensive version that is meant to be more luxurious. You can get them much cheaper.
i want the capstone. the platinum or trd pro is not my cup of tea
Can’t believe people are buying these at these prices. Smh 🤦🏻♂️
And wait till the tariffs kick in…
@@Fevebblefesterwhy would there be a tariffs, there built in America
@Fevebblefester ....get your info correct there Fester.....😂

Odd. There’s 40 of them just sitting at lots by me. Doesn’t seem like anyone’s buying them here. (Utah)
It has been said that a fool and his money are soon departed.
This is a 2024, not a 2025
$80k and not sure the engine will be okay…Go to the casino & gamble instead..
How dare you say more spacious than the american brands, but who came out with the crew cab first may I ask?!
How about a 1963 Chevrolet apache rail road maintenance special build model?
Dodge also produced crew cab model in the Flintstone era.
I thought he said not as spacious as the Americans?
Way too expensive for my wallet!

Rather buy a T-100 4x4
80k I rather buy cybertruck
Who waNts chrome , no one . Quit putting it on cars.
Speak for yourself
