I've had both the Tacoma and 4Runner which are absolutely great vehicles, but once I test drove the Platinum I bought it. This is the best Toyota trim IMO.
I was really considering one…until I sat in the back seat. I am only 5’10” and my head scraped the ceiling. Since I regularly carry my 6’0 Dad and brother in back, this wouldn’t work. I ended up with a GMC Sierra with a 3.0 Diesel and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
Great review~! I just picked up my 2025 Tundra CrewMax Platinum in Blueprint last Saturday and I LOVE IT~! My previous Tundra was a 2019 Tundra CrewMax TRD Pro in VooDoo Blue (LOVED that color~!), but I'm a few decades past my 20's, so that performance package was kinda wasted on me...needed more creature comforts. I picked up on a few things in your video that my own Toyota folks didn't cover during pickup, so Thank You for that~! This is my 4th Tundra and I love this truck~! My previous trucks were a leased pre-CrewMax ('03 or '04) and then my '07 CrewMax in Speedway Blue. As you highlighted, one of my all time favorite features is the full roll-down back window. My first Tundra turned me on to that and I'm not letting that feature go~!
I’d look at the Ram 1500 Limited with the Hurricane HO before buying that Tundra. The Tundra was my # 3 pick out of the Ford Power Boost Platinum and the Ram 1500 Hurricane HO. The wrinkled leather seats in the Tundra have always bothered me.
The only thing the tundra is being the best at is being inferior to the other brands. The tundra went from being an absolute beast in the 2nd gen, to an aesthetically offensive, fluffed up, sissified awd grocery grabber. Honestly i think the 3rd gen tundra should compete only with the honda ridgeline. I know all brands have their issues, but subjectively, the tundra is awful.
It a horrible truck! Cheap ugly grill, totally worthless rear bumper💯 open the door and look at all the cheap plastic.... lots of wind noise inside at speed and uncomfortable seats....TRASH!
How does this differ from previous gens? Everything you said about this truck was also said about the 2nd gen. The biggest thing it had going for it and the only thing people gave praise for was the 5.7 V8.
This is the best trim design that Toyota has in the Tundra. Way less busy than the 1794 especially.

I agree it is one of the best full size Toyota Truck. Great information !

I don’t understand why people want the dash to be soft touch most people will never touch the dash
Exactly! It's people like this, demanding stupid things, that jack up the cost for the rest of us.
Hopefully Toyota fixed the self destruct issue on the new Tundra
I heard you say that under the driver’s seat is the subwoofer it’s actually the amplifier for the stereo
