    Man! I really appreciate this video. I have a JDM car and when I got it the speakers didn't work. I pulled the head unit out and if you could see the rat's nest of wires, you would probably throw up. I pulled the wiring diagrams for the head unit and the car. The head unit had a blue/white wire that was connected to a blue/white wire on the harness adapter. There was a solid blue wire that was on the harness adapter that looked like it was just cut. Looking at the wiring diagram for the headunit, there SHOULD be a solid blue wire in the harness that just wasn't there. Pinned a new wire in there and connected them together and BAM...I got music.

  • @stiehl8455
    @stiehl8455 2 года назад +4

    Very well explained . Question: My kenwood harness only has the blue/white and the metro harness has a solid blue. problems is that I am needing the blue/white for remote amp turn on. Do I need to make a 3-way connection? The antenna does not go up and down, but I don’t not know if the radio(am/fm) signal is somehow amplified and needs the 12v turn on still. • @Vid_Master
      @Vid_Master 2 года назад +1

      @@mardan1974 you can splice into the blue turn on wire for your headunit. And by splice, I mean use wire strippers to make a cut jn the insulation in the wire (dont cut all the way through the wire, just pull the blue vinyl sheathing back) then wrap the new wire around it, and run that wire back to your woofer (or speaker) amplifier. The blue / white wire has a low voltage running through it whenever the car's key is in accessory or if the car is fully turned on, and amplifiers / headunits use that as a signal to turn themselves on. You can daisy chain it. Test this first before doing all the cable management in case it doesnt work

    Can you just connect the blue wire from the factory side to the red wire for a more stable connection? As well goes for those antenna adapters like the 40-HD10 w| the blue wire, can it also just be connected to the red acc wire since it cuts off anyways w| the key and just leave the remote turn on wire to do it’s dedicated function to turn on amps IF needed. My scenario is like one you mentioned where i have the blue/white wire from the aftermarket radio harness but only a solid blue wire from the factory side.

    You can connect your aftermarket amp remote wire to any accessory in your car that turns on and off when you turn the car on and off. Just splice into the positive wire of the accessory you want to use. Then connect your remote wire to your amp. I’m running all my amps remote wires to my lighter socket in the back seat console. I don’t use remote wire on my HU for my amps. I do use it for powering on other things from time to time tho.

    Ok i have a question i have a factory radio with a nvx XLCA2 LOC but over the past year and a half the remote out spot on the LOC has become useless and will not hold a wire causing my amp to go in and out of protect so much that I unhooked the power and ground from the amp and haven't touched it in weeks because I don't know where i can run the remote wires for several devices and the install Guy has run everything to the back of the trunk so I literally don't know what wires are what im going to have to pull my dash out and look at the back of the stereo but before I do it is there any other place I can run remote turn on wires any advice would be greatly appreciated i unfortunately can't afford to replace the loc right now just spent a bunch on batteries

    Great instructional video.... I have a question...when wiring in a relay, are you using the Remote turn on/Amp BL/WH wire to directly energize the relay, and then powering the remote switch over the contact, or energizing the coil and the amp switch with the same wire.... I ask as I intend to control a relay for a few appliances a coupe LED's, and Dashcam... entire draw will be about 400MA... I guess the question is, will the BL/WH pick the relay and trigger the amp switch without over stressing the output?... I know you said you've triggered two amps with the one output, but I have no idea want the amp switch draws verses the coil of the relay... probably triggering a transistor in the amp?? The Amp output should be on anytime the headhunt is on correct? Thanks my man... much appreciated!!

    I got an 04 Durango w/infinity system. Installed an aftermarket stereo and couldn’t get amp to turn on (no sound) with a remote turn-on to remote turn-on connection. Tried every combination of remote turn-on and power antenna to see if I could resolve the problem. Nothing. So, I connected all the blues. Bingo - I got sound! But…now my deck SOMETIMES stays on when I turn the car off. Only sometimes. Sometimes, the sound will go away too. Then, just today, after weeks of use, the sound would only come on when the key was in off position. PLEASE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON 🙏🏼

    I have a pretty basic 2005 chevy silverado 1500 ls. Well I installed a jvc radio and the sound will come on but cuts out if the volume is too high or if I mess with any of the settings. Also says "miswiring, check wiring" after I turn it off and back on. I've done everything and anything to get it to play right somebody help me.
