- Even Better Than the Original: CJRB Large Pyrite Full Review. The original CJRB Pyrite has beca very popular Knife so I was excited when I found out that they were making a bigger version. Even though the Large Pyrite is a knife it feels like a small knife I’m hand and in the pocket. In this video we will discuss the good, bad and also do some real world testing. What are your thoughts on a bigger version of the Pyrite. Do you own any of the Pyrite’s if so what are your thoughts on it?

This is a good knife. I picked up the KC exclusive with the contoured carbon fiber scales. Light, large and slicey AF.
AR-RPM9 has become my favorite lower cost knife steel. It takes a sticky sharp edge and strops back into shape like a dream. It also seems fairly tough for having the good edge retention that it does.
Absolutely loving mine so far. Fantastic edc.

Have an 1st version pyrite which has been a good solid knife, and this large version looks very interesting as well. Enjoy your in depth cutting different materials in your tests.
I got mine on order. Cant wait.
Mine is terrible. The button sticks so that I have to use both hands and the blade falls open when I close it. The G10 version of the same knive is perfect though......I think they have some serious quility check issues. My Lago had issues with the indent as well with the blade having a lot of play. At least they sent a replacement which I am still waiting for. I am going to return this version as well. The G10 is a keeper.
Some of their knives are great but they need to get better at checking knives that leaves the factory.

Upgrading the clip to the correct CRJB/Artisan Titanium clip is a major upgrade to the ergos of this knife. I have the green micarta scales in mine as well and the Ti clip just smoothes out the one potential rough spot on the whole knife in terms of grip. Makes it way better than stock in the hand.
I have handled to begleiter xl and its big. I had no idea the large pyrite was almost that big. I had to return the kizer, it would fail easy just by pushing on the spine, but I’m still in the market for a large button lock. As long as this one is solid I might get it.
Would be excited to see comparison with Spyderco Police and Military

Any measurement of overall width when folded? Looks Begleiter like, under one and a quarter in wide.
