I saw The Black Angels live at The Levitation Festival last month in Austin and they blew me away ! I already loved them on record but live, they are unbelievable !
Saw them in March in OKC..... I agree with this statement. Fantastic on albums, god level live :)
I love how the subtitles talk about "My Buddy Valentine"
how high are you?
MBV will never have enough respect imo and their 2013 album will never get the appreciation it deserves
Iain Fairness facts
Tbf it doesn’t compare to the original material, excited to hear what’ll be coming out this year though
Daniel Brown definitely does. That fourth track after the opening three is fucking sublime
Daniel Brown ur wrong
I’m not disagreeing that it’s very underappreciated, I just think Loveless (and the EPs, to a lesser degree) are about as untouchable as any music can get - so it’s natural that the newer (and older) stuff would be overlooked
This series is sure making me want- need, a Jazzmaster
I use the rythmn circuit as a Killswitch setup as well, I love it for stutter stuff or just using it to quiet the hum in-between songs. Jazzmasters are the best
Jazzmasterism is my religion
seeing him live was great
That baby blue one with the 3 silver pickups...drooling......
Just bought my first Fender and now I'm wondering how I played and lived without one... Seriously, this will be my next
four words: OFFICIAL LEFT HANDED JAZZMASTER
Best guitar, period, for me! Mascis' purple version was surprisingly great as well, I really regret selling the one I had.
Another guitar I'll never afford lol. What a beauty.
He uses a mastery bridge
The best one
The mastery is a the best bridge for a jazzmaster reissue but not for a vintage guitar......good tone but change the original tone. I have a 63 and 66 original jazzmaster with original bridge and two jazzmaster reissue with mastery.
I have one on my Squier Jazzmaster and I will get another for my Squier Jaguar. So good!
I dunno about Squiers but Mastery’s bridge is not needed on a good Mexican or American Jazzmaster. Proper setup and string gauges will take care of all but the most extreme of players like Sonic Youth. Also, the Staytrem option is worth consideration. It is far cheaper, does the job and looks much better.
The original bridge works fine with 11 or 12 gauge strings. You gotta go fat to get it to work right. Many Fender guitars are suited one way to make them work right. This is how Jazz and Jaguar work, as intended, that is.
“It’s a jazzmaster,but I don’t play jazz on it”😂😂😂😂
🔥🔥🔥
Who plays jazz on a jazzmaster lol
Tommaso Galdi ikr 😂
Tommaso Galdi Marc Ribot
Who hunts jaguars with a jaguar? Best you can hope for is to hook up with a cougar while playing 80s covers in bar and hope she's okay with your shorter scale.
Nels Cline
Paul Gregory ayy lmao
🌊🌊🌊🌊🏄🏄🏄😎🤙 hang loose yes, esse som me leva na crista da onda yeee, linda guitarra 🎸 Fender jazz master e qualquer Fender é a melhor guitarra pra mim.👌😘
Does anyone know where the riff at 01:23 is from?
wow
The captions " my buddy valentine" haha
Rock that Mt. Rushmore t shirt dude! My son came for a short visit, I let him play the Nocaster but didn't tell him about my new Am Pro Jazzmaster with Lollar Relics. I feel terrible about that by the way.
Can anyone tell me what fuzz pedal he’s using???? That’s an incredible sound
i think it's an earthquaker devices hoof
Using that upper section as a kill switch is a Tom Morello trick
makes me really wish I got a real jazzmaster instead of the american pro now
Thrasher ❤️❤️❤️
was his brother named Mike
What tremolo pedal he use? So dynamic and synthy
Rustam Mazhidov its an earthquaker hummingbird
my bloody valentine
Wait... Does it come with a mastery bridge?
Any idea what fuzz he is using ?
Okay so apparently he also has a Foxx Tone Machine.
Wonder if he ever gets credited as K.Hunt
ela é a melhor
Já no Brasil uma pequena fortuna. Fazendo os upgrades mesmo...
Does anyone know what that green delay stutter type pedal he using?
cole ashmore look up black angels rig rundown i think they made one not long ago
cole ashmore 90% sure that’s an Earthquaker Devices Hummingbird. He’s using a replacement knob to control the rate on the fly.
@@EXPLODINGPIE nah, you're 100% right, that's the hummingbird trem
Just curious if anyone can link me to the guitar strap he’s using!
Pretty sure it's Souldier strap. Look them up, they have wide range of cool patterns
Nice shoes.
Where did that "white" pickguard jazzmaster come from??? 0:08
It's actually a gold anodized pickguard (which looks white due to the lighting), they were common for the early jazzmasters.
No entiendo mucho el inglés pero me parece que los subtitulos en español están malos y lo raro es que no están en automático.
1:11 which effects he use?
Tremolo, reverb and delay...i think ?
Max Korotk earthquaker devices hummingbird i believe
how does he get the distortion
still waiting for someone plays jazz on this thing so that person change a lil bit of jazzmaster history
moon burst Nels Cline has plenty of jazz records recorded on his ‘59 my favorite being a remake of Coltrane’s free-jazz masterpiece Interstellar Space.
@@louderthangod so there was one?
@@GnomeChomsky9999 Leo Fender made it for the jazz market…blame him if you don’t like the name. I’m sure there were others but it definitely didn’t become a standard. Was there a number you had in mind?
What about the LEFtIES in thr band!!
They dont really play fenders, from what I know of the older lineup
Funny how a guitar designed to play jazz… now attracts the avant-guard
Why every video on Jazzmaster has to always talk about top switch and knobs, isn't that like common knowledge by now.
Do you think this guy skates?
my buddy valentine
The Killswitch setup is also what I do with a Jazzmaster. It's the reason I won't own a modern player, they can't do that. Neither can an American Professional. Total rubbish for their price points.
you guys are trying too hard to make these inspirational
They should change their band's name
Joaquin Alejandro Norambuena Escalona why?
?
How are you famous
