- There are many at the Gala, saying they loved the Hymek, D7076 the most. In a way, it's hard to disagree, travelling behind it!
It has power, acceleration, great noise, clag and seems to bounce more than any other loco there, at the Magnificent Severn Autumn Diesel Gala...
I'll let you decide if you loved it the most, after travelling here in this film from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster immediately behind the engine! Get the volume up for the next 20 minutes!
It was the star attraction for sure and the noise even on tick over could be heard from the other end of Kiddieminster station! -i saw you filming from the first carriage with your stork a few times and i evben spoke to you as i was the chap who was trying to go through the last door when the Hymek was on the other side!! -great video and a very enjoyable event.
I remember! I started my hobby in 1978 at 12 years of age so missed the Hymeks on the mainline.. I think they are terrific - the sounds that come out of them are very different! So pleased you enjoyed what I was able to create. Please subscribe for 5 more films from the gala and over 270 more! I love doing this! Creating memories is important!

Love the concept of a video (with proper sounds) shot from just behind the loco - gives a great impression of being on the trip andohow the loco is working as it pulls away from stations and up any gradients. Great video - makes me want to make the trip to what looks like one of the better preserved railways...

The Hymeks are BR Class 35s
Yes and yet I believe they didn't make it tio TOPS numbering so this would have been 35076 potentially!
