MARCH 19, 2024: Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the walkout by Government Members of Parliament (MPs) on today is the first time in independent Jamaica that the "Opposition Leader has been denied the opportunity to finish his budget presentation." He was speaking outside Gordon House after the sitting abruptly ended.
Mr Golding completed his speech on the steps of the Jamaica National Heritage Trust which is the old Parliament building.

Mark is not free so that, when he disrespects another, that other walked away, along with all dignified Jamaicans. Parliament is not a place for vulgarity. There have to be standards. I could say he, Mark Goulding, breached parliamentary procedure by using budget day to launch an attack on a female opponent. Misogyny, all those things come to mind. He can't do that. Surely, you must know that! Look, his behaviour was unacceptable, and if I had my way, he would have been hauled through the Integrity committee or the Patliamentary standards committee. We want our parliamentarians to be of sound judgements. Budget day is not an invitation for personal attacks? What is wrong with you?
I have long felt that * black people's* problems, broadly, are of their own making. Jamaica's problems are their own making , much of it. That is the one thing they have been consistently proven. He makes one consider African derivative. We can not see the truth, and it is one curse thing Jamaican acquired from African. Yet, you commented fully on the point made. For removal of doubt, wasn't it budget day? Isn't the nature of a budget figures? That is, calculations, deep analysis of figures, and proposals on how opposition would better spend to convince the voters of a convincing choice! Oh, you have seen who miss the point or better, yet the point of a budget is completely lost on!
Secondly, the nugget call * appropriate,* extending in, what I like to call decency. If the budget is about commenting on figures, spending, future planning, and accounting, how is it that misogyny and sexiisim the main stay of Goldings presentation? Why would Jamaicans who say the pledge every day maybe then betray Jamaica with such lapse in Judgement about Golding? Is it desperation to in stall PNP into power? Have some pride, class even!
Finally, there was nothing in that speech relating to a budget. What was present is * word salad* and a dostinct lack in the knowledge of time and place by Mr Golding. Positive if that speech is an essay to be graded, on substance Golding would receive a see me by the lecturer.
Mr Gilding lacks competence. It is apparent to me that all those who follow him are inflicted with the same sin. If you listen to that speech and say it rises to standard of good. Perhaps you can not be helped!
