I have recently completed the main quest of the mod and I LOVED IT. I was afraid entering for the first time but, apart from especific issues, It was really well-done and fit perfectly with the rest of the game. I never encountered any game breaking problem or bug like some people were talking about. Loved the puzzles, loved the city, loved the fyr manor and specially loved the new ending for sotha sil himself. Thank you very much Trainwiz!
This was such a good mod, especially when combined with the voice replacer. My only issues were the vague directions for some of the city quests and some problems with the music, especially during the Imperfect fight, but that one was probably on my end.
+RevolverRez Out of curiosity, which directions did you have trouble with? I've been considering doing a small city/dialogue overhaul to make things a bit more alleviating.
+Pastaspace It was only a handful of quests in the end, I got lost on the Temple quest because it wasn't obvious to me that the couple being attacked by the undead were important, I just assumed they attack citizens like the archcanon described at random and ended up exploring the catacombs far too early instead. Perhaps that example is just me being dumb though. The Rewinds were a really cool idea, by the way. The Arboretum quest has a slight problem where The Gardener will link to his original dialogue on the locations of the oil pump and fabricant farm but won't repeat the info on the experimental plant. It's not a huge area but since I saved in the middle of this section I ended up having to check around for it. I'm still unsure on what to do about the normal Dunmer wandering around the hub. I befriended him but so far I can't find anyone who wants to talk about it. The first Residential area quest needs you to find a drug addict but the only person with that topic is the guy you need to speak to, so there's a lot of wandering with no real clues to his whereabouts. Just off the top of my head. I'm fairly sure a few of them were just me not seeing the obvious, but it might be useful to you all the same. At any rate I think you guys did a great job on this mod, especially with the puzzles. It really is a massive improvement on the original Sotha Sil section.
Did this ever become a reality? I had trouble with this too, lack of direct instruction is a good thing in a quest mod that has lots of puzzles and such, but sometimes trying to find a guy's house in a jungle of identical houses for ages is frustrating.
I LOVED the mod but I had a lot of direction problems. I wont request more dialogue for gestalt helping you but some journal entries will help A LOT. I didnt have much problem with the city quest. There you could talk with the quest givers to read again the explanation, with gestalt sometimes he goes like "repair the fabricant factory" and thats all
- - - - - - - - - - - SPOILER WARNING - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sotha Sil truly was the greatest of the Tribunal. I was so devastated when I reached the final chamber and saw what was left of him :(. I would atleast liked to have had some dialogue with the old sage.
Voice replacer is awesome with this mod and all, but it does make me feel more...lonely. For a hell of a long time gestalt is the only NPC you can truly "speak" to. I know he's just speaking at you, but there was something somewhat comforting about how human it was, contrasted with how alien and mechanical the place was. I just figured it was a massive AI powered by a living soul, which is why it didn't sound mechanical. The new one fits better but sounds kind of imposing and creepy when I always thought that Gestalt was something of a nice helping hand, the only friendly voice in a world of dark tunnels to certain doom filled with the hostile machinations of a paranoid god. Take the line "What sort of creature are you mortal? Come stumbling to Sotha Sil..." for example, the original sounds inquisitive as if a newcomer is a nice break from the monotony, the new one sounds really cool but it is a little monotone and sounds like "What sort of creature are you? And now prepare to die." Decisions decisions. Still, third time I've made a new character just to experience the Clockwork City in all it's glory. Incredible mod.
And here I am reminded why I constantly list this as my all-time favorite game. An entire summer was dedicated to this masterpiece, and I still didnt experience everything. A shame that Bethesda seems to have lost their touch.
Quite difficulty, but less combat oriented and more puzzle-based. There are items IN the dungeon, but you really really really want to go in as a higher level character with lots of supplies. As for length.... well the original Sotha Sil is 13 interiors. The new Sotha Sil is 350 interiors.
So where did the music for the trailer come from? I find myself re-watching the trailer just to listen to it. Also, on another note, I'm a good way into the thing. I don't think I'll be the first person to finish it, but I'm sure I'll be close.
How difficult exactly, would I have to go in knowing some things beforehand or would I be able to grab items and use them within the dungeon? How much longer is it compared to the original? Thanks for helping.
Sad to say this but this mod is a real clusterfuck and you will probably never get help. I got to the clockwork city and after spending hours running around, talking to every single NPC I could find, trying to make progress and not getting anywhere I uninstalled the mod. The only reason I even got to the city was because of a guy named Island Heads who made a walkthrough. I also don't think this mod was made with anything other than a clean install in mind simply because of the size and messy scripting. Good luck further, my dude.
You know, I had once thought that nobody made mods for Morrowind anymore. I mean, Oblivion came out, and now Skyrim. I was upset that I couldn't rely on some of the classic mod sites anymore. Morrowind Modding History restored hopes though, and you're restoring hopes that I'll actually have something new when I next play Morrowind.
Hi there! I've finished the mod. A few bugs and a few quests were I felt left without enough direction or details.. Otherwise it was great. I was just wondering what music you used for the trailer? And where I can find it? OR if it was made by your team, could I get permission to use it? For a possible trailer for a Skyrim Mod I'm working on? Thanks.
Mao is in SSE! We have multiple voice actors in the mod. My brother plays Gestalt (the AI you're hearing in the beginning) while Mao plays the Pocket Cabal, a friend of mine plays Nerevar, and I (heavily modified) play the Imperfect.
Just how good is this mod for a new player? I have never finished Morrowind or reached any of the expansions, would this mod improve the Tribunal expansion or is it recommended to complete the vanilla expansion?
No idea when it'll be coming out (we're almost done though!) And it can be played fresh or not. It was built so that even if you completed Tribunal, you can still go back. Also where are all these people coming from?
Hey guys, I could really use some help. I don't really know where else to ask, and here was my first thought. I'm at the part in the main quest of the mod where I need to help the various districts and am currently on the Industrial. I've found all the power surges all right, and now the quest giver wants me to find him a book, that he doesn't remember the title of, and doesn't really know where it is. my only hint is that it's about power dynamics. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
Is this mod kind of like a tribunal version of greater dwemer ruins? Like is it as exceedingly long, difficult, frustrating, cruel, jaw-dropping? Because that's what it looks like from the trailer. So before I go (to the city that is) how big, taxing and mentally torturous is this mod because I was fairly disappointed with the vanilla CC and tribunal has been pretty tame so far.
That trailer looks amazing. I'm totally downloading this for my run through of Morrowind. I just hope my computer won't crap out and not be good enough.
It's an improvement rather than a completion assistant. If anything it's probably more difficult, yet more grandeur, than the vanilla version of Sotha Sil.
+Pastaspace Actually Gastalt is an alias. Merely Sotha Sil uploaded into the city computer core. Alma got to him before it was finished. At the end you can choose to finish the upload or cancel it.
Seriously, what is that faint squeek at 1:50? Just finished this mod and it's an amazing achievement. This really puts bethesda's clockwork city to shame. Even the voice acting was nice, I loved the pocket cabal and I don't understand why people don't like Gestalt's voice, he's a super intelligent entity, Sotha Sil apparently created his followers in a humanoid image so the regent would sound quite human. Plus I don't want to be guided through Sotha Sil by an emotionless machine's voice.
+Derek Heiberger It's called Crucible by Miracleofsound. It's music inspired by Mass Effect 3, so those should be good keywords to look up. And I agree, it's pretty amazing instrumental, and goes with the video absolutely perfectly.
You've seen my city, and the state it languishes in? I would have you aid me, Mortal, in repairing it. What sort of creature are you, Mortal, come stumbling to Sotha Sil?
:( Clue please...PRETTY PLEASE!!!! I'm stuck at the lantern of udok, I've got the key and can't find anything in the basement and found the piece of god thing and the passages make no sense to me. :( I am regretfully stuck. PLEASE assist me it would be greatly appreciated.
Sure thing, it should be out any day now, maybe tomorrow. It is a graphical update and compilation of all the best mods Morrowind has to offer. ornitocopter . net/ morrowind-overhaul/
I hope Sotha Sil somehow escaped from Almalexia's wrath. I think he could transfer his soul and mind into his machines right before Almalexia lands the killing blow.
And this is one of the reasons why I will never uninstall Morrowind. And probably why my data folder is around 17 GB.. . cries >.< Someday I will have to buy new machine to be able to do other things than play MW. Also is that Crucible what my ears hear?

Morrowind is all about being vague with direction, i would think we would all have been used to it by now.

A shame that Bethesda seems to have lost their touch.
One of the best Morrowind mods ever ... Bethesda cut the secret Sotha Sil stimpank city without mercy on Tribunal...
Quite difficulty, but less combat oriented and more puzzle-based. There are items IN the dungeon, but you really really really want to go in as a higher level character with lots of supplies. As for length.... well the original Sotha Sil is 13 interiors. The new Sotha Sil is 350 interiors.
it replaces the entire Sotha Sil portion of Tribunal. It is not separate
The music if "Crucible" by Miracle of Sound.
Also what side did you pick, Upload or Destroy?
Someone that could use a book on power dynamics might be someone high ranking in Sotha Sil, in charge of a lot of complex machinery.
So where did the music for the trailer come from? I find myself re-watching the trailer just to listen to it. Also, on another note, I'm a good way into the thing. I don't think I'll be the first person to finish it, but I'm sure I'll be close.
The music in this trailer is awesome. What's the name of the soundtrack?
This is Crucible by Miracle of Sound.
There's also a sequel now with obvious leimotifs called The Great Unknown.
Take a look, pretty good stuffs.
This looks incredible. Every time I played Tribunal I found myself wishing there was more to do in the Clockwork City. Time to re-install Morrowind
How difficult exactly, would I have to go in knowing some things beforehand or would I be able to grab items and use them within the dungeon? How much longer is it compared to the original?
Thanks for helping.
I'm stuck in the Clockwork City, can anyone make a guide for this?
1 Year Later....no help.
Do not be hasty, mortal.
Eddie Koleno Is waiting a year too hasty?
3 years isn't so bad. But now a new problem. I can't get this to work in OpenMW.
Sad to say this but this mod is a real clusterfuck and you will probably never get help. Ok, the trailer music is amazing. Vhere i can take it?
I'll keep checking for this! I can't speak for everyone but I saw this mentioned on Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 and had to check it out.
did it come out yet and if it did'ent when will it
This is why Sotha Sil is my favourite god of the tribunal.
Awesome :D also, was that your voice at the start? Not using Mao anymore?
Hi there! I've finished the mod. A few bugs and a few quests were I felt left without enough direction or details.. Otherwise it was great. I was just wondering what music you used for the trailer? Pretty cool mod. It was nice having a challenge.
Is that you, Train Wiz? I could've sworn I just heard Bruce Hammar talking to me.
will this only take place in the tribunal questline or is it completely seperate?
No idea when it'll be coming out (we're almost done though!) And it can be played fresh or not. It was built so that even if you completed Tribunal, you can still go back.
Also where are all these people coming from?
So many people asked for the song being used Pastaspace, do us the favor please.
Do you guys have a walk through for this mod?
What is tamriel rebuilt?
Hey guys, I could really use some help. I don't really know where else to ask, and here was my first thought. Sorry for the late reply. I chose upload.
I notice that there's some... references, minor ones to ... Nier?
hey, what is the music's name?
It's an improvement rather than a completion assistant. If anything it's probably more difficult, yet more grandeur, than the vanilla version of Sotha Sil.
I want to download it, a lot, but... please tell me that Sotha Sil isn't talking the whole way through.
The Sandwich God That's not Sotha Sil, nor does he talk much.
+Pastaspace Actually Gastalt is an alias. Merely Sotha Sil uploaded into the city computer core. Alma got to him before it was finished. At the end you can choose to finish the upload or cancel it.
You realize you replied to one of the creators of the mod right?
You should definitely start the quests at this point. We just entered the testing phase so...
When will this be coming out? :O And will it require a fresh installation?
Amazing. What's the music? It was epic.
If all the music is this mind-blowing in the final product you'll pretty much have to give us the soundtrack
Seriously, what is that faint squeek at 1:50? Just finished this mod and it's an amazing achievement. This really puts bethesda's clockwork city to shame. Can anyone get this to work in OpenMW? PLEEASE~!
I've actually reinstalled morrowind and i'm leveling up a new char just for this. Having a hard time ignoring the Tribunal quests until this gets out.
Could someone link me to this awesome instrumental?
+Derek Heiberger daru... jk idk what that song is but i really want to find out!
Sotha Sil be like: fuuuuck I'm gonna expanddd
For the last time, I'm not using any overhauls.
Miracle of Sound - Crucible
Is this still being worked on?
Oooh... Need any potential testers? Count me in if you do. I'm positively good at breaking things, if such a things exists.
By the grace of Vivec, I think I just CHIMed my pants.
One is in development.
Google it. Mod that adds missing Morrowind from orginal game, whole continent with many quests, places, cities, enemies, people and much more.
Yes it is.
Hm, mind linking me?
The guy's voice sounds like he's using a bad mic and not the right effects to make him sound like a god.
Yes, but you won't get to visit the improved city, only the original one.
4 years ago. And i still can't play Overhaul or other mods - can't download eng verions of morrowind ;/
Piratebay.
I didn't remodel anything. These were small ini tweaks.
Now can you please stop bothering me.
My body will never, ever be ready.
The creation kit is for Skyrim, I used Nifskope.
I really need a walkthrough
@Antiparadox Few months old but ironically the basement is there to show you the solution.
Epic! I'll have to finish Tribunal so I can play this :)
Sure, do you have a steam or Bethesda forums account?
MOD OF THE YEAR
I notice your mods tend to be lacking in voice acting quality, let me know if you need a spare VA.
Sure thing, it should be out any day now, maybe tomorrow. It is a graphical update and compilation of all the best mods Morrowind has to offer. ornitocopter . net/ morrowind-overhaul/
Morrowind never died though. There's tons of stuff coming out. And hell, when OpenMW reaches release and implements multiplayer...
God damn.
Multiplayer is out, trying to get this to work on OpenMW but I can't get the pipe to fall in the start like it should. Any ideas?
I hope Sotha Sil somehow escaped from Almalexia's wrath. I think he could transfer his soul and mind into his machines right before Almalexia lands the killing blow.
All positions have been filled.
Yep.
I'm more excited for this than any official skyrim dlc.
MAJESTIC
great work!
This looks absolutely amazing, and what a Morrowind mod should be.
Who said that's Sotha Sil?
I'm gonna play Morrowind again just so I can play this, maybe in a Let's Play. I had played Morrowind only a few years ago.
Trailer needs some TRON music to do it proper justice.
His. Sotha Sil built the city, never said he ran it.
Yes but when you go to the Clockwork City in Antares' questline, it'll just be the crappy old one, instead of the giant new one.
Judging by the context, it seems extremely likely.
I am not using any graphic or texture packs, I don't believe in them. And yes, I did make Deus Ex Machina.
Are you the creator of Sotha Sil Expanded?
The link is in the description.
Am I the only person who thinks Sotha Sil is the most interesting character in the Elder Scrolls universe?
And what's wrong with his voice?
And this is one of the reasons why I will never uninstall Morrowind. And probably why my data folder is around 17 GB.. . cries >.< Someday I will have to buy new machine to be able to do other things than play MW.
Also is that Crucible what my ears hear?
I want this
That implies it ever died.
Now this is modding.
Just epic!
The one dislike is Almalexia.
Looks like Portal, but intresting.
Keep it up! :)
It will most likely crush your shit, package it into a pneumatic soul pump, and ship it out to some fabricants.
My own personal tweaks.
