My Evernote personal auto renewed in February for $80 which was the expected price for a year. I have a year more to copy over my most important notes (out of 7,000 of them) over to a couple of alternatives. I would like more info on simply keeping notes inside of a searchable database like my Google Drive for example. I'm feeling trapped with my rich collection of notes that I am unable to easily move anywhere without copying them one at a time.
Not surprised about this. All products from bending spoons are quite expensive.
Absolutely abysmal. I left at the buggy V10 and never looked back. They ripped off their customers then..and they are doing it all again. Disgusting.
What did you switch to if you don’t mind me asking
@@dowairu Obsidian for anything text/content heavy with the Readwise integration which is fantastic. Google keep for light snippets. Easy and all free. So glad to be rid of the Evernote junk.
Yikes. Sounds like Bending Spoons is focusing on getting their money back as soon as possible.
This will be the final blow for Evernote. For that price, people can afford a good note taking system. Or just switch to OneNote for free.
I will pay for another year. If they don't speed up the sync, bye and never again. It's over. This is Evernote's limit.
Think I will stick with Obsidian. I liked Evernote back in the day and had hope they would sort themselves out but every time I hear news about the company now it's negative

RIP evernote. Your obituary will read as a pioneer in the cloud based note taking and paperless workflow era, who alas grew old, decrepid, out of touch with your family and irrelevant - body to be now uncerermoniously dumped after mismanagement and failing to take the calls of all those old friends who tried to help.
This is the downside of corporate mergers and buyouts. Eventually, the customers have to pay for the deal. Evernote was somewhat on my radar for a potential note application. RIP Evernote… notion is definitely my home for my productivity. I will happily pay them for the use I get out of it.
