I've got a 2005 RAV4 and I'd never had a problem with the TPMS light. I recently took it in for a routine tire rotation and afterwards, the light kept coming on. I made sure the tires were at the proper pressure and I'd reset the light and it would just keep coming back on shortly thereafter. I took it back to the mechanic and they told me that the TPMS is a dealer-serviceable item. The last time I got a service quote from my dealer, it was $2,100 to replace the entire exhaust system due to a tiny crack just before the muffler. I got a local muffler shop to fix it for just $70. Because of this, I was really nervous about taking it in to the dealer. I found this video, and I checked a couple other videos and external sites to get corroboration on what it proposed that I do. I rechecked my tires, held down the button to trigger the reinitialization, drove the circumference of my town's beltway which takes about an hour, and the light has stayed off since. This video probably just saved me untold hundreds of dollars. Thanks so much!

Important note is tat reinitialize resets based on new pressures. So if you want 34 as you base pressure and it was set to 30 doing the reinitialize does that.

Don't know for sure but I read that if the spare tire was low it would also trip the sensor light.
So check it also. (I worked in the tire industry for 30 years & you wouldn't believe how many
cars that came in with flat spares because they NEVER checked the pressure. I always keep
50PSI in my spare. You can always let some out if you get a flat & never wish it had air in it!!)

I bought new Winter tires with new 16 inch steel rims and I had them installed and the next day as I pulled into the parking lot where I work my tire pressure light was flashing and then it stayed on steady now it does that each time I start my car it flashes then stays on I downsized my rims to 16's for the winter my all season tires are 17's with the oem alloy rims I'm gonna try putting air in my tires and check the psi if the light is still on I'll try resetting it and if the light is still on then I guess it may be the tire pressure sensor battery

My Toyota if I just press the reset button the light doesn’t go off, I read to hold it and wait for the light to blink 3 times then release, but the light continues to stay on. I tried it again and then after some driving it ended up going off, but this morning woke up and started my car and boom there she was again on and solid. Should I try possibly putting about 34psi instead of the called for 32?
