Where the heck are those bees?

It is almost always obvious that bees are in a structure by the constant comings and goings of the field bees in search of food near the entrance of the hive. However, what is not so obvious is the location of the hive itself. This video is about one such hive. For weeks I had seen 4 or 5 bees flying from the same spot that I had removed 3 swarms from. I just assumed they were new scout bees, or bees that had gotten left behind. Every time I checked the location, there was nothing to indicate there was a hive present, just some wayward, lost bees........wrong. I finally removed part of the siding from the house and saw the comb. It was not much comb, and I assumed it was just the beginning of the hive....wrong again. Not to give away the whole content of the video, and as Paul Harvey used to say, " and now, the rest of the story." God's peace to all. Mr. Ed

Mr. Ed, I have always been interested in Bee Keeping, but with being on disability with limited movement in my body, your videos bring me so much joy and relaxation. It is an amazing thing you do. God Bless You.

Am I the only one who finds vacuuming up the bees and cutting out the comb satisfying? I know they aren't hurt but it's just satisfying to see.

This is an Amazing Day! A video from Mr Ed and a video from the DirtRooster! Bee still my heart. Haha. You did a beautiful job framing. Very tidy and precise. I love that! The queen capture is one of my favorites. You persevered, didn't let doubt sway you - and then you found her. Sweet! Above all, I love that you are out there saving bees, rehoming them and sharing the adventure with us.

I love it when the bees build across floor joist like that. It really makes mounting so much easier. Good Job Jeff!

It was great to see how the comb ended up in the frames, comb by comb. Thanks, Mr. Ed!

Thank you so much for your videos. Each one is fascinating and very informative. I recently had to contact a bee keeper in my area to remove a hive in my attic. After seeing how beautiful the bees are and how carefully the bees are handled in person, I have great respect for bee keepers.

Mr,Ed I caught my first swarm today! I've been watching your swarm capture videos all summer knew exactly what to do! Here in MN swarms go high into. Pine trees. This one was about 15 ft up. Shook the branch and they moved to another tree only 5 ft up. I was able to b scoop them into box with my hands. Thanks so much for all your videos. God bless!

To all who keep bees and to those who produce honey for commercial grocery stores I wish to thank each and every one of you for what you do. The bees that keep my flowers pollinated are some of my best friends. This year we have had more bees in our yards than anytime since we moved to this house in 8 summer seasons. We had many more vegetables in a smaller amount of time. Also to you that make these videos I have a greater understanding of how they act and that they aren't going to sting me unless I make them. I still won't go near a hive though.

Mr. Ed, you need a small add on to your vacuum box; something to close off the opening after you pull the screen!!...small wood strip with small piece of bottom board that you slide into the gap.....keep those angry bees inside until the calm!!...

Nice comb, wish mine was that straight. I got a bunch of curved stuff on my cutout. That is one nice bunch of bees. Looking forward to the next one. God bless
