Movement training is a game changer for anyone who wants to be pain free. I'm 62 M and play hockey with 20-40 years old guys, no problem competing and at keeping up.
I once did a 9 week ground based movement program. I lost a lot of body fat, felt better, moved better, and had stamina that you just can’t build from running/jumping rope. Was able to do 6 dead hang pull ups at 240lbs, without training pull ups!
I have worked in a warehouse for about 10 years now. As a Selector, this kind of training would be INVALUABLE. The part of my body that I hurt in this time was my shoulder, simply because of the way we have to move. This kind of movement training I Personally feel is the most Natural way for your body to gain muscle. Growing your muscles past practical sizes is pointless other than for competitions. I relate this very easily to DragonBall Z when Vegeta and Trunks are in the Hyperbolic time chamber. They become RIPPED in Super Saiyan form because their bodies couldn't handle the power. Goku and Gohan on the other hand, stayed in super saipan form and trained that...which allowed their bodies to cope with the weight that much easier.
Being watching your videos on amd off for a month now .. the delivery of your knowledge is just as impressive as your knowledge 👌... Long story short , began with the bear walk and beginner lizard crawl as I'm lacking in ab development and shoulder stability, where as my pulling power is on point. Going from traditional training patterns - squats , deadlift etc - to full body movement seems like a good idea for a 40 year old 😅... Really impressive content .. much appreciated
Hello Eero, I am a huge french fan of you, and a subscriber to Movement 20XX Method. The truth is that you are a perfect example to demonstrate that movement training DOES NOT build lot of muscle. :-) You are doing crazy lizard stuff that seems impossible to do, and all of your videos are so impressive! As I said, I am a huge fan of you. But you are quite "lean" in comparison to a 4*10@90-100 kg bench presser, a strength level that can be achieved in few years of weight training with dedication and a good training program, and without drugs. Effectively, lot of muscles are activating during crawls, but most of those muscles are not stretched and there is lot of quasi-isometric contractions, and this is not "good" for muscular development. And I suspect most of your current muscular development comes from dynamic lizard crawl variations or others really difficult moves. For most people that will train only basics movements (crab, bear, monkey, cat...), muscular gains will be very modests. I made the test this summer, practicing less of weight training and more animal moves, with sometimes 30-45 minutes of animal crawls (you said 10min+ is elite level, but during bear crawl, we have "active-resting" so it is possible to train long time with crawls, if 30-50% of the time are bear crawl variations), and I actually lose muscles (especially biceps and pecs), which has not been a surprise by the way. Others examples are coachs of "animal flow" that are doing some movement training stuffs (but not so impressive than yours!), and have very few muscle mass. So I think a muscular body should not be an objective for doing those movements, but just feeling better, a better mobility and posture, and explore its body possibilities. Best regards from France,
You are right.i do training for fighting ...i test these exercises...i did bear crawl only for full three weeks...i honestly tell you it does not increased any conditioning and endurance...yes i felt better and grip strength was good...in my experience you need some mass in your body to absorb blows and strikes...tons of bear crawls Animal moves will keep a person skinny ...so i started doing bullworker isometric, self resistance exercise...they don't build up body like weight lifting but atleast they get you good shape
I can't do a one-armed push-up (not too interested in the 'one-arm' variants of exercises, not 'functional' as when do you only use one side of your body, seem mostly about showing off) - but I'm finding I can stay low to the ground on while on one arm for the lizard crawl. Why might that be? B/c it doesn't have the negative phase of the push-up?
I think you mean it doesn't have the concentric portion of the movement. You are generally 30% or so stronger on the eccentric than on the concentric. So letting yourself down on one arm is a bit easier than pushing yourself back up. One arm movements like the one-arm pushup are great for developing anti-rotation core strength and are very relevant for martial arts and balancing out the two sides of the body. One leg movements too. Don't sell them short.
Have you done lizard crawl or similar dynamic exercises? Staying low to the ground esp. while on one arm keeps your body under crazy tension, it is much harder than pushing up as in the concentric phase of a push-up each step, doing a crawl as a chain of push-ups with an up-and-down motion is actually the easier variation , that’s how I started it (though I still wouldn’t call it ‘easy’). What I meant by skipping the negative is that I don’t have to lower myself from a push-up position to get close to the ground, (think doing the negative of a push-up and holding it as close to the ground as possible while crawling forward - that’s essentially what we’re talking about here). I can even lie down prone and push ‘up’ to reach the same position
@@helvete_ingres4717 It all depends on how long you are crawling for. A single one arm pushup is harder than a single 'rep' of a lizard crawl. (I have done both. I can do sets of 5 one arm pushups). A lizard crawl for a minute might be harder, but that's more about strength endurance than raw strength.

Haters gonna hate bro, keep doing what you're doing. The message is there! Along with the results.
This looks much hotter than steroidheads anyway.

Impressive physique.
Movement training is definitely making a difference.
Fantastic summary brother!
Bro please make a seperate video on healthy knees for life 🙏❤️
Check out Knee Over Toes Guy
thank you for the good video!
Very informative thanks bro keep grinding
And how about glutes?
How much they get developed?
Hail 🙌
Tu cuerpo a Sido formado solo con movimiento animales?
Can you do movement 20xx and athlete 20xx at the same time or is it better to focus on one course at a time?
It's possible but usually it's better to focus on 1 program at first
