In your previous video posted 22Jan 2019 (Civil & Structure Cost by Thumb Rule Method) you have mentioned steel ( 5-5.5kg/ Sqft ) for Total built up area. now in this video you are mentioning 4-4.5Kg/sqft. for Total built up area.. so which is correct??
for commercial -5.5kg/ft2

While tile flooring we use complected brickblast bed as PCC and overlay sand-cement mixture and apply neat cement as an adhesive to receive tile, Sir my question is, what is "SCREED LAYER" , it represents only neat cement layer or only cement-sand mix layer or only brickblast pcc layer or combination of 2 out of 3 of them or all 3 of them, by definition it should be neat cement layer as definition says "leveled surface that recieves Finishing product(tile)" ??

Sir, what if there is no basement in building, am working on (G+3) blocks with 1200sqm per floor area, so it turns to be 4800sqm area, steel consumption is approx 192ton, out of which 46ton was in footing, 40ton in columns, 80ton in slabs and beams, it turn out to be 3.73 kg/sft aprox which is quite on lower side if i follow thumb rule whereas, when we come to concrete, if i take 0.028 coefficient it turns out to be 1447cum however its consumption is 1560cum, the aprox fractions that comes out are for footing its 25% , for columns its 18%, for slabs and beams its 57%, the fractional variation for columns and foundation are quite huge, my question is, is it normal to have such variations while using thumb rule, if yes, then can we rely on them during execution part??
I think its commercial building, and its low rise, my explanation for highrise bulding and residential projects
@@FactualCivilEngineering no, it is 3bhk residential flats, and yeah it is low rise but columns and slabs ration will be quite same for both high and low rise buildings, is their any thumb rule for unit bearing area required vs slab area??
