Hes a super star in Pakistani and Indian Movies This band was disbanded few years back. It was a reunion performace. A ceremony performance. This band is not a regular band now. They are just veterans
Bro this song released in 2002. And after few years they broke up and now after 15 years they are performing together all of a sudden. all because of Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The lead singer left singing and started acting , he is singing after many years.
At 4:50, the Guitarist was the main reason behind the success of EP Band and Call Band. He also performed in Jilawatan of Pepsi BOB. He is also the sole creator of Nescafe Basement and all of its Music Production. The name's Xulfi..!!
He is not an official singer. He is the biggest actor of Pakistan. This was a band appeared 15 years ago in pepsibattleofthebands. AND they are separated already.
why comparison them to Linkin Park and misguide them? They were sitting with high expectations. There is no comparison. It's sinful doing it. And for myself, I really disliked this song. It's a shame that the lead vocalist was a lead judge in the Battle of the Bands.
REVIEW FROM PAKISTAN: I can understand the ROCK SCENE created by LINKIN PARK is basically created by SOCIAL ISSUES of the west, that DARK, LONELY GUMPYNESS. But in asia pop scene is more loved than hardcore rock Now talking about EP - its full name is ENTITY PARADIGM - an heavy metal alternative rock band of PAKISTAN. It was formed by the students of Pakistan''s prestigious intitute FAST - NUCES, Lahore (Foundation for Advancement of Scienece & Technology - National University of Computer & Emerging Sceneces) in early 2000s in response to the culd underground rock scene goig on at that time & to compete in the FIRST SEASON of the PEPSI BATTLE OF THE BANDS in 2002.
Huge thanks for your review Bilal! Indeed, a quick look over the lyrical content of many alternative bands of the west reveals a distressed inner life. The west appears to share a similar taste preference in pop overall. Great review! Love from RnJ
I think whoever called them Linkin park of Pakistan was too excited by hearing this kind of music in Pakistan because rock music is not our natural cultural style of music .. EP was the first band who brought rock to Pakistan and showed us that rock could be done in Urdu as well ... This performance was very important to all EP fans because they performed together on one stage after many years. Plus you didn't see the subtitles. The subtitles would have added so much to your views. And before the performance they dedicated this performance to two members who were missing. The subtext of this performance was missing . I have never ever commented on a RUclips video ever. But I had so much to say about this.
Thanks so much for sharing Mansoora, we'd love to hear more of your thoughts on upcoming reactions, it means so much that you take the time to write your thoughts to us! Love from RnJ
Firstly, that man is amongst the most handsome men in the world. Fawad Afzal Khan. They reunited after a decade with 2 members missing. This performance was just perfect by all means. He did not sing bad at all.
I can totally get what you were looking for. The true wild rock performance. For that, I recommend you Jilawatan by Call - Pepsi Battle of the Bands (Same show) I am sure you guys will love it and will find what you might missed here. ;)
With all due respect, if you want to hear Linkin Park and Chester, you should listen to.....Linkin Park. I'm not sure who said EP was the linkin park of Pakistan, but I've been a hardcore EP fan from day one and no self respecting EP fan would ever refer to EP that way (not your fault, but theirs). Entity Paradigm had their own identity and their album Irtiqa was a masterpiece. This was a reunion performance for their fans after YEARS, so it was very special for us. Good work. 👍🏻
Even as a huge EP fan I must admit that Fawad's vocals have always been kinda weak. No ferocity in them like Chester's. But back in the day we couldn't complain as we only really had Junoon, EP, Karavan, Mizrab et al (and later Call and a few others). No band survived because music scene in Pakistan died a slow death
worst thing you did was compare it to Linkin Park due to some stupid ppl suggested u cz they have rap mixing and you are right it was a bit dull cz lead vocalist is diff type from LP and also cz its live performance, it studio version is good n composition is excellent
Arsalan Ahmad agreed bro. The vocalist did justice to the song. He didn't make any noticeable errors and maintained the expression of the song. Having an expectation from the vocalist to scream is absurd because this song would not sound good if the vocalist was to scream.
Absolutely Robin and Jesper you both said right infact He is not a regular singer he is a Actor actually it was perfect react which you have done on this song guyz keep it up👍
They did this performance after 15 years after disbanded, It was the same song they sung it back in 2001-02 in the same PEPSI BATTLE OF THE BAND SHOW. It will be good if you both guys listen the original song.
This is a band that has reunited just for this show after 10+ years , the singers haven’t sung much in the past decade, the idea that they are a Pakistani linkin park is just that in the early 2000s this band took the alternative rock concept to Pakistan, they don’t intend to match Chester and shinoda in their styles of performance or singing, just the concept linkin park introduced the world to. For a band that performed this well after 10+ years of being disbanded I believe it’s praiseworthy Cheers :)
Guys, you should hear it's original song when it came out. This is band came on after 15 years so obviously there is major difference. I recommend ypu to hear the original, EP was a huge band back then.
apni property what are talking about he is originally a singer, shut up and get lost with your stupid comments. He should stop acting and start singing
The singer "Fawad Khan" is no longer singing, he left singing many years ago. He is not part of EP band. He is actor. They (EP band and Fawad) just played Hmesha just because of the Pepsi Battle of the Bands.
This band is more inspired by tool, then LP ppl only say that cause of the rapper. The singer of this band is Fawad Khan (singer / actor very famous), he lead guitarist is Xulfi (director of nescafe basement). Just one more thing this song is kinda about death and stuff like that thats why its kinda like that. Lookup their other stuff they were very good.
jesper and robin... have you recognized the vocalist? he is the same guy who played the character of Prince in the Indian movie "Khubsurat" of whose reaction you have given. he is fawad khan, one of most famous pakistani in the India Pakistan region, he is a finest actor, singer and model, and engineer as well
guys they are old now and age really matters but if you check the EP music videos then you`ll see ... but i dont want too but still i do agree about low pitch of vocals
Hi, These guys performed after maybe over a decade on this stage. E.p formed over 15 years ago and you should really check out their album “irtiqa”. Also, nothing compares to Linkin Park.
Singing the song individually, yes you can criticize this song and the singer. But this is the pioneer rock band of Pakistan.Youths of 90s have grown up listening to them. The band is now disbanded and this was a reunion performance.Seeing to that we felt much better listening to this song.
Just to add fyi The vocalist is Fawad Khan. And this band was runner up in 2002 pepsi battle of the bands. While they broke up and then this performance was on just a special request from Pepsi and people. So if one is out for 16 years and still performs so awesome. I will definitely appreciate. While now he is into Bollywood, Lollywood and has got highest place as an actor. would always be better if you guys prefer doing some home work before giving any reactions? People will feel more connected..
Actualy this guy the singer left singing a longtime ago and now he is one of the top tv n film star. He use to sing when he was associated with this band e.p almost ten twelve years ago. Now these guys just got along once again after a decade. Kindly searcg out for FAWAD AZFAL Khan. U will get to know about the recent work of this guy i.e the lead vocalist.. Love ur guys reactions and appreciation. Love from Pakistan. 😎
Problem is that this song is 15-16 years old. For Pakistani people this band is legend and they were together on stage after yearssss... That's why people suggested this song to you. Nothing else just an emotional attachment.
He is one of the most renowned actors of the country. He began his career with singing which he left eventually to pursue his acting career. He is selected in top 3 asia's most sexiest men almost every year. He is Fawad afzal khan 😁 not a very great singer but definitely a crush of every pakistani girl 😁
Fawad main singer he is super star , film star ,singer he is heartrob,it is a 15 year old song that's why not very modern , it was there reunion performance at that stage, as the male lead singer is the judge of this show that's why this look little less to u as it is not instrumentally that good acoording to these days but at that time back it was wow still nostalgic for us
That is why I keep telling you guys to listen to íshqnama' by ' badnaam'' in Pepsi battle of the bands. You will not be disappointed. Its sheer rock!! plz do a video on it guys.
There was no need to compare EP to Linkin Park. Chester had a unique voice, and there will be no one like him again. It was a privilege having grown up listening to him and Linkin Park. Having said that, this was a classic Pakistani rock song, and I appreciate that you guys enjoyed the music. It’s too bad everyone overhyped it for you!
I am disapointed by the singer too, he can sing Much better than that but he didn't sing like that in this song. React to "Kashmir Band" from Pepsi Battle of the bands
Its Pepsi Battle Of The Bands......BANDS not Brands as you guys keep saying it! Also here is the link of the original video the quality is not great but I am sure you will enjoy listening to it more!!
hi guys, stumbled upon you for the first time as this video was here on the suggested list because im a fan of ep. ep was formed by combining two bands entity and paradigm and together, they participated in Pepsi battle of the bands season 1 twelve years ago and ended up at the finals where they competed against aaroh and lost the competition but not people's hearts. fawad Khan was the Bands lead singer. the band was broken for many reasons and fawad then persued acting career from television to movies and he is amon the top paid actors in Pakistan and a heartthrob in India. yes, they all are a bit rusty now but it was all 12 years ago and they have hardly jammed together during these years. they indeed copied the style and genre that of Linkin park but I guess people here were not mentally ready for that kind of music and voted for somewhat a love ballads band. kind of same thing happened in this season but they are all srill great bands. ps. sorry for typos, commenting through mobile.
You're absolutely right about his vocals. He was nowhere near what he used to be back in early 2000s. The band EP had disintegrated years back & they just returned for this special performance. If you want to hear some real "Metal" voice then I would suggest you "Andher" by Faraz Haider, it may not be that good "INSTRUMENTALLYWISE" 😂😂 but you'll love the vocals for sure and one more request : Summer wine by Aima baig 😁 Thanks !
Yes, I told u in Call reaction request that in my view it was the best performance I have ever seen so far from a Pakistani band. Other bands might not be able match them so easily.
Guys your review is spot on. This is exactly what I felt. Don't get me wrong, I have been and still am a hardcore fan of EP since battle of the bands 1. I have loved EP because of its music and lyrics, but Fawad was holding back his vocals in this performance. It is completely justifiable though, EP sort of disappeared after 2005 and Fawad has been busy in his very successful acting career. You shouldn't really compare him to Chester, Fawad's vocal are somewhat different but quite suitable for urdu accent. I did however enjoy this reunion performance of EP
Hey Guys! Just tuned in to your channel. Great work going there. Very interesting comments came out from you two & having said that I would like to see your reaction on song ‘Yo Soch’ by Ali Zafar & Natasha Khan from Coke Studio Season 10, Episode 6. What makes this request interesting is 70% of Pakistan doesn’t understand the language or lyrics of this song as well. Will be looking forward to more video. And thank you because one way or other you are promoting Pakistani Music here. Peace, Brothers ✌️
There's not too much severity in rock in Pakistan if you guys expect if any rock band exists. So the music can be rocky but the singing is not like too much screaming
you reviewd very well, EP was eleminated in season one, the organizrs just include them to perform in season 2. but bad thing is that the vocalist of EP even judged the whole episodes of pepsi battle of band nt because he has good voice but due to popularity and fame of vocalist in TV daramas.
RnJ -- great stuff as always. Love you guys and your SPOT ON Urdu pronunciation! PLEASE React to Mera Pyaar from Kashmir performed at Pepsi Battle of the Bands. Muchas gracias!
Call > EP. The only thing good about EP is Xulfi the lead guitarist who is also in Call. Whoever compared EP to LP? Maybe the last few LP albums where they sucked ass.
Guys do a reaction video on 1. Mera pyar by Kashmir 2. Kaaghaz ka Jahaz by Kashmir And, as for this song... this was a remake, these guys did, since they united after years, of their own song. You might like the original one. But of course, they can't be compared to Linkin Park at all.
boys I don't think its fair to presume something about some song. especially when its coming from a totally different part of the world. if you have some room for a cultural and language difference you'll find it better. expecting a linkin park typo think is bit unfair. also I know you people expect a high range stuff after some flat sequences but please understand that apart from music the language and lyrics written in a different language also contributes to the beauty of a particular song. so just judging a song on the basis of only music and performance is not always fair. next time please don't built expectations from a song. instead try to enjoy the music flow from a different culture. this song was a western inspired music but since it was written in a different language/culture it went this way. loads of love from Pakistan
+Zypher Lynx We love this text and thank you so much for great feedback on how to think 😁 We respect what you are saying and we will take it to us. Thanks for your support!! Lotssss of love from RnJ ❤❤❤
Robin & Jesper hi guys...I also think that hearing something different from your taste and culture actually Introduce you to different type of folk, classical and traditional music of a country and what type of music they are doing...so you guys exploring Pakistani music and its diversity and getting a lil accustomed to it as well if I'm not mistaken...and also the poetry or lyrics in Pakistani songs is mostly very deep and it has variation too...Sufi poetry and music is like heart and soul in our folk music..I wish you get subtitles for all the Pakistani songs you play than you will realize that most Y poetry is very deep..and sometimes spiritual too☺btw your reactions are really nice...you guys are doing great job...well done n best wishes for your new channel and this one too..peace😇
Hes a super star in Pakistani and Indian Movies This band was disbanded few years back. It was a reunion performace. A ceremony performance. This band is not a regular band now. They are just veterans
right bt still they pulled it off quiet fabulously :)
Dare Angel true

wardah he is best singer
Bongi he started his career as a singer.
Abdullah Afaq But he is not an official singer now. He is best known for his acting
why comparison them to Linkin Park and misguide them? They were sitting with high expectations. There is no comparison. It's sinful doing it. And for myself, I really disliked this song. It's a shame that the lead vocalist was a lead judge in the Battle of the Bands.
Flora D Yar I meant He is more known as an actor. Not as a singer :/ Why do you guyz have to take literal meanings.
Hey guys listen the original track HAMESHA

EP is undoubtedly the best rock band in Pakistan
Wow you pronounced Hamesha so damn perfectly!!
Rain Galore That is right indeed. :)
i think you guys should have done their original music video instead of this bcz this is a remake version of their song.
How old r u both ?? I wanna kno
Xulfi is there from The Call band too in this set up.
Firstly, that man is amongst the most handsome men in the world. Fawad Afzal Khan. They reunited after a decade with 2 members missing. This performance was just perfect by all means. He did not sing bad at all.

Arsalan Ahmad I agree, they shouldn't be compared with LP at all.
Bongay log jo bht ikhatay hue we hyn idhar kia kren
I'm myself flabbergasted over the audacity to compare a disbanded band to Linkin Park. It's sinful doing this. NO COMPARISON AT ALL.
Arsalan Ahmad agreed bro. The vocalist did justice to the song. He didn't make any noticeable errors and maintained the expression of the song. Having an expectation from the vocalist to scream is absurd because this song would not sound good if the vocalist was to scream.
All they ever released was an ep ironically, not even an album. They're nothing compared to LP
Absolutely Robin and Jesper you both said right infact He is not a regular singer he is a Actor actually it was perfect react which you have done on this song guyz keep it up👍
love u guys, like ur videos so much, i from pakistan and now living in sweden. is it possible to meet u guys?
he is not regular singer he is an actor.. this one is reunion of the band.

They did this performance after 15 years after disbanded, It was the same song they sung it back in 2001-02 in the same PEPSI BATTLE OF THE BAND SHOW. It will be good if you both guys listen the original song.

This song was released in 2003. now 2018. you can imagine what a music we have.. ITS ROCKISTAN ;)
Actually he is not a professional singer .. he is a model and actor.. i think it is enough for an actor.. love it
apni property what are talking about he is originally a singer, shut up and get lost with your stupid comments. He should stop acting and start singing
Basically he is a singer at first and then he is an actor and model etc
The singer "Fawad Khan" is no longer singing, he left singing many years ago. He is not part of EP band. He is actor. They (EP band and Fawad) just played Hmesha just because of the Pepsi Battle of the Bands.
My Favourite Song
This band is more inspired by tool, then LP ppl only say that cause of the rapper. The singer of this band is Fawad Khan (singer / actor very famous), he lead guitarist is Xulfi (director of nescafe basement). Just one more thing this song is kinda about death and stuff like that thats why its kinda like that. Lookup their other stuff they were very good.
Call has always been my fav and I love this song too
This is a reunion after many years guys they all left singing many years ago by that standard they did amazing and mind blowing performance !!! 😀😍😍
jesper and robin... have you recognized the vocalist? he is the same guy who played the character of Prince in the Indian movie "Khubsurat" of whose reaction you have given. he is fawad khan, one of most famous pakistani in the India Pakistan region, he is a finest actor, singer and model, and engineer as well
Lol... They are not linkin park at all... They hav their own individuality..... Their song Rahguzar is ma fav. song... Do listen that....
guys they are old now and age really matters but if you check the EP music videos then you`ll see ... but i dont want too but still i do agree about low pitch of vocals
Who are these guys anyway??
you should go for original version of such songs....EP and Junoon are two bands.
Hi,
These guys performed after maybe over a decade on this stage. E.p formed over 15 years ago and you should really check out their album “irtiqa”. Also, nothing compares to Linkin Park.

He is one of the most renowned actors of the country. He began his career with singing which he left eventually to pursue his acting career. Guys your review is spot on. This is exactly what I felt. Don't get me wrong, I have been and still am a hardcore fan of EP since battle of the bands 1. I have loved EP because of its music and lyrics, but Fawad was holding back his vocals in this performance.

I did however enjoy this reunion performance of EP

Just tuned in to your channel. Great work going there. Very interesting comments came out from you two & having said that I would like to see your reaction on song ‘Yo Soch’ by Ali Zafar & Natasha Khan from Coke Studio Season 10, Episode 6.
What makes this request interesting is 70% of Pakistan doesn’t understand the language or lyrics of this song as well.
Will be looking forward to more video. And thank you because one way or other you are promoting Pakistani Music here. Peace, Brothers ✌️
Please do a reaction on Jilawatan pepsi battle of the bands..You will be amazed and would definitely love it..Keep rocking fellas :-)
Hey Plz react to:
1.Man amadeham from Coke Studio 8.
2. Dilruba na Raazi
3. Laung Gawacha (baliye) from Coke studio 9.
Why hasn't anyone suggested Noori ?!?!?!!!
There's not too much severity in rock in Pakistan if you guys expect if any rock band exists. So the music can be rocky but the singing is not like too much screaming
If you want '' Jilawatan'' kinda stuff do check ''Pukaar'' by the same band ''Call'' but its their album track not a Pepsi Smash version.
Oh he is fawwad afzal khan my fvrt actor.
you reviewd very well, EP was eleminated in season one, the organizrs just include them to perform in season 2. but bad thing is that the vocalist of EP even judged the whole episodes of pepsi battle of band nt because he has good voice but due to popularity and fame of vocalist in TV daramas.
Or listen to shor macha by them
Ooo they took my request
They are right actually. Fawads voice should have had more reverb in this performance. Otherwise, we all know how powerful his vocals are.
wowww
RnJ -- great stuff as always. Love you guys and your SPOT ON Urdu pronunciation! PLEASE React to Mera Pyaar from Kashmir performed at Pepsi Battle of the Bands. Muchas gracias!
You've been with us for so long peace on earth! We love you and the love you're spreading, we'll check it out!
Watching these videos with you guys makes it extra special. Stay blessed!
Call > EP. The only thing good about EP is Xulfi the lead guitarist who is also in Call. Whoever compared EP to LP? Maybe the last few LP albums where they sucked ass.
Guys do a reaction video on
1. Mera pyar by Kashmir
2. Kaaghaz ka Jahaz by Kashmir
And, as for this song... this was a remake, these guys did, since they united after years, of their own song.
Robin & Jesper hi guys...I also think that hearing something different from your taste and culture actually Introduce you to different type of folk, classical and traditional music of a country and what type of music they are doing...so you guys exploring Pakistani music and its diversity and getting a lil accustomed to it as well if I'm not mistaken...and also the poetry or lyrics in Pakistani songs is mostly very deep and it has variation too...Sufi poetry and music is like heart and soul in our folk music..I wish you get subtitles for all the Pakistani songs you play than you will realize that most
Y poetry is very deep..and sometimes spiritual too☺btw your reactions are really nice...you guys are doing great job...well done n best wishes for your new channel and this one too..peace😇
