iPhone 13 Group 1: The USA iPhone 13 Version.
The US iPhone version is the only one in this group. It is also the only iPhone version that supports mm-wave 5G. Below are the US iPhone 13 Model numbers and Part numbers.
iPhone 13 Pro Model A2483, iPhone 13 Pro Max Model A2484, iPhone 13 Model A2482, iPhone 13 mini Model A2481.
iPhone 13 Group 2: The Dual Nano Sim Card iPhone 13 versions.
Group 2 includes China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau. Their unique feature is that they can use two nano sim cards simultaneously instead of the regular eSim + nano sim card combination which all the other models use.
Below are the Model numbers for the Hong Kong and China iPhone 13 variants.
iPhone 13 Pro Model A2639, iPhone 13 Pro Max Model A2644, iPhone 13 China Model A2634, Hong Kong/Macau Model A2634, iPhone 13 mini China Model, A2629 Hong Kong / Macau Model A2628.
iPhone 13 Group 3: The Russian iPhone 13 versions
The group includes the following countries. Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The iPhone 13 versions here offer some Russian apps during setup as required by the local regulations.
Below are the model numbers for the iPhones in this group.
iPhone 13 Pro Model A2640, iPhone 13 Pro Max Model A2645, iPhone 13 Model A2635, iPhone 13 mini Model A2630.
iPhone 13 Group 4: Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabian iPhone 13 versions
Group 4 includes the following countries. Canada, Guam, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, and USVI. But the Japan version still has the camera shutter sound issue by default. However, if you update your iPhone to iOS 15 and put in a sim card from another country, the shutter sound turns off. But it only works if you live out of Japan.
Below are their model numbers.
iPhone 13 Pro Model A2636, iPhone 13 Pro Max Model A2641, iPhone 13 Model A2631, iPhone 13 mini Model A2626.
iPhone 13 Group 5 The Global iPhone 13 variant
Group 5 contains all countries from other countries not included in the previous 4 groups.
It's worth noting that the South Korean iPhone 13 model also has a Camera shutter sound lock. But hopefully, the issue can also be fixed by updating to iOS 15.
Below are the model numbers and part numbers of the global iPhone 13 version.

It won't have any connectivity issues. Actually, it supports more cellular bandwidths than the middle east/UAE version.

Hi Nebaa. I have two questions regarding iPhone 13 Pro Max. Are the FaceTime Audio and WiFi Calling is permanently disabled in the China Mainland version, meaning if we take that phone outside of China Mainland the features won't be available? Secondly, how can we differentiate between the Hong Kong and the China Mainland version because the model number is A2644? Thirdly, if there is any difference between the two, how can we find out before the purchase and opening the box?

Which is the friendliest for international travel and switching SIM cards? US version might not be internationally friendly, but maybe that all depends on your service provider.
The iPhone 14 models sold by Apple in Puerto Rico have the same model numbers and bandwidth compatibility as those sold by Apple stores in the US. But the Puerto Rican models have a sim card slot. If you can get one of thoses, u should be fine. You can also get a Canadian model as they have almost the same bandwidth compatibility as the US iPhone 14 models.

If you buy an iPhone from a network provider with some sort of payment plan, its going to be a locked phone.
If you buy a phone at the full retail price its usually factory unlocked. But it's always best to confirm with the seller.

If I could find all iPhone models at the same price here would be my order of preference. 1) Hong Kong Dual Physical sim model (because being able to swap two physical sims would be useful to me. 2) US version coz it's the most 5g bandwidth capable model, 4) any other models except Japan or Korean. Yes the shutter sound issue has been resolved.
But what if you buy it and due to some issues maybe software or perhaps Apple decides to reinstate or back track on their sneaky fix? That's the reason why I'll only buy it as a last resort.
That said, there's no difference in performance or build quality between all the models. Hope this helps.

There's no best version technically. Because what differenciates them is pretty much not noticeable to the average consumer. You would be fine with whichever you decide to use.

Yes. Facetime in the UAE is only blocked at the leve of the service provider networks. Similarly to how video calls are blocked on Whatsapp in the UAE.
If you are in the UAE and change the region in your iPhone to another country, lets say Philippines. You would see the facetime icon. But the facetime service itself will not work with the UAE networks (Etisalat or Du) unless you use a vpn.

It depends on the seller. But the exchange rates would not be good. Better go to an exchange shop and convert your Euoros to Dirhams before buying.

Hi i am from pakistan and my iphone 13 pro does not have the mmWave band on the right side below the power button. What does this mean? (Pakistan does not support 5G)

Only the USA iphone 13 supports mmWave 5g, and has the mmWave antenna. All other models support 5g but not mmWave 5g so they don't have it.

Any model that supports the network requirements for your region should be fine. But to the best of my knowledge the US and Canadian (and Japanese) versions support a few more network bands than other versions.

iPhones are not made in a single country. Because there are multiple companies involved in the manufacturing process of an iPhone and these companies are located in several different countries.
So there are 3 stages in the manufacturing process of an iPhone.
Design... Designed by Apple in California. Manufacture... Several companies around the world make different parts of the iPhone. For example Samsung and LG usually make iPhone displays. Some other company makes the processor, another makes the battery, another makes the wifi unit etc.
The manufacturing companies then ship the parts usually to Foxconn in China. Foxconn is Apple's largest Assembler of iPhones. So assembly is the third and final stage of the iPhone fabrication process.
There are a few assembly plants in other countries like India for example. But most of the iPhones used around the world are assembled in China.
That's why on an iPhone box it is usually written... "Designed in California, Assembled in China". And that's why Apple does not use the term "Made In".
Even the USA iPhone version is assembled by Foxconn in China before it gets shipped back to the USA to be used.
Note that Foxconn only assembles the finished parts. They don't make the parts. So you cannot also say iPhones are made in China.
There is no iPhone assembly plant in the USA as of now.
