    I looked at the images on other displays and I can confirm that the DCR-250 has a slight green colour cast, so the NiSi49mm definitely comes out on top in terms of image quality. 😉🦋🪲🐛

    Thanks for this Peter, it's only taken me 3 attempts to watch it all the way through. As I have already got a raynox dcr 250 (which I was given foc) you've just saved me some money! Great examples and a great comparison video.

      Thanks mate, appreciate it! Yes, if you already have a DCR-250 then it would be kind of superfluous. The NiSi is better optically and the MR is only a little higher. Cheers:)

    Great comparison Peter. It’s hard to pick one over the other as you said. Both are so close, I think they’re both really good. Thanks for sharing the comparison mate 👍🙏

      Thanks mate, they are pretty close indeed but the NiSi is slightly better for sure. Cheers

    Great review Peter. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the topic and watched your review on NiSi before, so it was very interesting to see the comparison of those two items. I use 90 mm Tamron macro lens, but never used neither one of those, so it helps to know what are the pluses and some minuses on each. Great job my friend. Have a wonderful weekend.

    Peter!!! I LOVE your Playdoh holder!💖 Each of the shots are really sharp and it would be hard to pic out the best. Each has some amazing qualities. Seeing this is making me want to go out and shoot some macro...... if I can find my Raynox!! Thank you for this fantastic comparison. 🙏🤗

      @@peterviragphoto I am happy to say, I have been shooting dragonflies with my 70-200 and my 100-400 - it has been awesome. I did find my Raynox and may take it out tomorrow morning.... or later today. I have to enjoy the heat while it is here!! 🤗

    Very cool. I never used these as people said if you have an expensive lens the extra glass will degrade the images. Seeing the images you produce, doesn't seem to be any degradation. Thanks for sharing

    • @peterviragphoto
      @peterviragphoto  11 месяцев назад

      There is usually a slight degradation on an optically excellent lens but pretty easy to rectify in post in most cases. Have a good one buddy!

    Hi Peter, thank you for sharing your wisdom :) I have a question for you since I'm torn about what to buy. My current setup is R5+EF100 Macro. Since you previously used a similar setup, would you recommend that I try the DCR250+NiSi58 stack, or should the NiSi 49mm be a better option alone?

    • @peterviragphoto
      @peterviragphoto  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Tina. If I were you I’d just go with the NiSi 49mm. I think you’d be happy with the results of that combo👍 nisifilters.com.au/product/nisi-close-up-lens-kit-nc-49mm-with-62-and-67mm-adaptors/ref/peterviragphoto/

    I am confused between nisi 77mm closeup and nisi 49mm closeup. I have canon rf 100mm macro lens.. which one I should choose?

      @peterviragphoto  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey mate. I’d definitely go wih the Nisi49mm if I were you: nisifilters.com.au/product/nisi-close-up-lens-kit-nc-49mm-with-62-and-67mm-adaptors/ref/peterviragphoto/
      It has higher magnification, more compact and suits the 100mm macro better . Cheers

      I’ve done more tests since and From an image quality perspective I’d definitely go with the 49mm closeup,lens from NiSi: nisifilters.com.au/product/nisi-close-up-lens-kit-nc-49mm-with-62-and-67mm-adaptors/ref/peterviragphoto/
