“They wanted to commit the perfect murder” “Brady told David that he had committed several murders.” If you want to commit the perfect murder why would you tell someone????? This guy has such flawed logic???
It is a problem of him wanting to have it both ways: he wanted to commit a perfect murder but he also wanted people to know that he succesfully did it. I think that it was one of the reasons why he took Hindley as his associate. To have at least one more person knowing that he did it. But of course since she participated in it, she ceased to be a "target audience".
Bunni I don’t agree, I think it was the narcissism. What’s the point in being a “god” if no-one knows about it? He wanted more followers. Considering everything he got away with, it doesn’t make sense it would be stupidity.
How is it that Ian Brady was granted his dying wish of no one ever seeing those suitcases again yet Winnie Bennett was never granted hers of being reunited with her sons body. They could have made a deal with Ian that he gets his wish if he says where Keith is or they could have revoked his wish since Winnie never got hers. Seems so ridiculous that a MURDERER gets to rest knowing his wish is granted and a mother can never truly be at peace. So infuriating
CzechMirco he was supposed to show where the bodies were. Hendley did actually try to find them at least, like she was giving them info where she could remember but given how long ago it was I dont think she could remember the specifics to where they actually were. Not to paint her in a good light because she is fucking screwed but she did at least try. For Ian though, I think he did remember and he did actually take them to a burial, he just didnt tell them. I think that because Ian was just more into the murder and clean up then Himdley and he made a point about one of the areas.
@@glitterlover3244 Yes, I understand that, but my question was, why would a court even enter in a deal with the defendant. I know that in USA there are some deals to assure that the defendant pleads guilty or testifies against some other defendants, IDK whether this institution exists in the UK as well. But in the case of Brady, there was nothing for the court to gain from such a deal. The only situation that comes to mind is when he was already in prison and found out that Hindley cheated on him. And then he could have decided to say everything he knew about her in exchange for the suitcase never to be opened again. But still it seems far fetched to me.
CzechMirco the only thing he could gain was spiting Hendley. Police were probubly banking on Ian being so angery over Hendley that they could get him to spill. And yes we have a lot of deals(USA) where that can happen but they also can go deeper then just the actual trails. Im honestly suprised I never heard police trying to make a deal with Hendley that she would get less time if she gave all the bodies up. In the US you can get that deal, or you can be comepletely dismissed from any charges if you testify and give up all your info, even if you are found out to have played a bigger role. It happend with the Barbie and Ken murders.
Call me sick, but I'm glad Ian didn't get the death penalty. Death is such an easy way out. I'm glad he suffered in prison and was going mad not being able to see Myra.

its so ironic that brady and hindley got together due to myra's obsession with brady, and when it ended myra didn't care anymore and all the 'love' was on ians side
What surprised me was she stood up to bullies as a kid into teen years and then dated and fell in love with a guy that was a bully and a killer. Kinda weird how they got together In general she fell in love with the thing she fought. I am not saying she is innocent by far just something I picked up.
If they had just done the first murder they probably would have gotten away with it but they were greedy evil people they wanted to murder more and more and more violent
I feel sad for David Smith and his family. They experienced so much flack. I mean, he was an accessory, but even so, he outed Hindley and Brady, that surely counts for something doesn't it?
He wasnt really an acsessory since he didnt know what he was walking into and it can be argued that he complied out of fear once he saw Ian killing. As soon as he could, he called the cops so not something an acessory would do. I cant fault him for not interveening or trying to stop it because most anyone would be scared in that situation.
I think he was genuinely scared for his life. If he truly wanted to kill, I'm sure he wouldn't have called the police knowing of the consequences that could follow.
Yeah, and I’m not so sure that he was an accessory since he had reason to believe his life was in peril when he cooperated. He kept himself alive so he could alert authorities, which he did. To me he is a hero for turning them in at great expense to himself. Myra could have done that after the first murder. He had more conscience and courage, that’s the difference. I can’t imagine having to risk angering such violent people, not knowing if they’d direct that violence on you when you did.
It's still kind of cool to here that even people in prison, people who are seen as some vile and evil people, still have 0 sympathy for anyone who hurts a child.
Bruh not everyone that goes to prison is evil and vile. You do know nice people can also end up in jail. Some of yall brand cRiMiNaLs as if they all are in some kind of bracket. A criminal is just someone who breaks the law but its only humans who make laws, not gods. Some laws are stupid as fuck and serve only the purpose to benefit the government, not always to protect citizens and society. Like someone could end up in jail for murder because they killed their enemy or someone who was trying to harm their family and they’re then branded a criminal and are in jail but they could be a nice person who would help people and be completely digusted by peados like this brady. There is a lot of people like that in jail who would want and be prepared to hurt peados in jail. Every person in jail is different and not every person in jail is a piece of shit. Some people who unfortunately end up in prison are good men, stand up men with good proper morals.

The fact that Lesley's mother listened to the tape of her daughter being murdered and looked at her daughter's [basically mummified] body to identify her... what a strong woman.
why were people upset about david getting immunity?? he literally turned in the moors serial killers that the police might have not known about for decades & helped prevent future murders. yes he was involved in the last victim but come on if u just saw someone commit murder wouldnt you pretend to be on their side until you get out of the house? very justified in my opinon
the part about keith bennet's brother wanting to see the suitcase made me tear up cause I can't imagine being so close to finding someone your close to and not being alowed because of the murderer's dying wish
Imagine being an old woman, and get woken by a bunch of cops entering your home. Then later finding out 2 kids have been killed in your house... The horror.
David situation is the real reason why ppl don't like to come forward. He was lured and put in a position to unwillingly help cover up a murder to save his own life and as soon as he could he went straight to the police. But got fked in the end for it. He did what anyone else in his position would've done.
The police didn't charge him in regards to the murders, however, they also didn't protect him from the public which appears strange to me. There are mixed views about David, but as we know Myra tried to incriminate him at every chance she got, whereas he did the right thing by informing the police but then again, Brady hasn't seemed to lie, but again, he did lie for Myra..so whether he was innocent or not depends on what each individual believes now....Personally I have mixed feelings about it, however, the majority of me believes he is innocent, this could be argued but it's my belief. I find it rather complex when there are various people involved and little to no evidence other than the individuals statements or actions to determine otherwise, but in this case David appears innocent, however, some may argue that he isn't as he could stab someone, whereas others will argue that it was in self defence. I have seen a few statements by people and sites that say David was involved but I find that hard to believe as he was upset and sickened by what he had witnessed as well as grieving the loss of a child at that moment in time... If Brady did not feel the need to prove that he was capable of murder, would he and Myra never been caught?
next door to you? that must've been so creepy for you after finding out. I have a question, if u don't wanna answer I completely understand but did you ever go inside the murderer's house or at least talk to them?

Awesome job, Eleanor! I’m 62 & have read & seen so much on the Myra Hindly & Ian Brady Case & you did such great work on these very sad, horrific murders. Hiding grief from Ian? That is so, so sick. Something very seriously off with her. Both, evil to the core. Thank you so much! From the Great State of Oklahoma, USA.
I was actually thinking the same thing he was all like I am God and stuff but I think he knew he was not that powerful to kill even kids so he wanted other people to join in and all the thing he said why he was doing the murders seems such a lie to me he said he wanted to "prove" that he could do a "perfect crime" but...to whom he was proving? To himself? He seems like a serious psychopath that just wanted to kill bc even if he was tryna "prove" something one kill was enough

I can’t believe they granted his wish to keep the suitcases hidden forever !!!!! They shouldn’t have given him any satisfaction😠Keith Bennett’s poor family needed some sort of closure... which the suitcases could have given them.... but the law kept them from that JUST to keep the *MURDERER* happy!? Why was Keith Bennett’s murder so secretive with Myra and Ian. Why did they not want police to know anything about him? Why did Myra burn everything connected to his murder? Why did they not want his body to be found? This seems so eery. There was no need for them to do this after they had already admitted to the others. What was significant about this one murder?

What happened to David was so unfair. He played along so that he wouldn’t end up like edward. Of course he was scared he had just witnessed a brutal murder he had to play along or he would be next. He literally went to the police. Do u think he would do that if he had wanted to do it out of free will and not fear? People had no right to attack him and ruin his life and he probably would have been better off if he hadn’t have helped clean up the murder and have ended up like Edward that day.

I think they wanted to keep at least one child to themselves, a "fond memory", a reminder of the bond between them and something to torture a desperate and grieving mother with until the day she died. I don't understand the decision with the briefcase, the moment someone kills children and there might be evidence as to where the bodies are, the murderer's "wishes" should be ignored, it was just another dominance play for Brady anyway. They're ugly monsters and I hate that they had solitary confinement/a personal bodyguard, they didn't deserve any security whatsoever. And yeah, I know that's my emotional and not rational side speaking ...

Double triple agree. Ian was so messed in the head that he through after enough grooming he could get anyone, like he did on Myra. I honestly thought David was going to be vengeful and upset about the death of his child and so would take it out on other innocent children, but surprisingly! I totally think he’s innocent

On a separate note, you did amazingly telling this story, it was so easy to follow and the narration was perfect. I could remember all the details and plot points of the case, great job.
I can't help but think that the reason Myra and Ian's stories aligned for Edwards' murder was because they were hoping to pin it all (or most of it) on David. The fact that Lesley's mother had to listen to her daughter's murder and see photos of her suffering just breaks my heart.
its kind of funny how myra was obsessed with ian for over 2 years, and once in prison she basically forgot about him whilst ian was risking his life just to see her
Shaema Honestly, Myra scares me more than Ian. I dont think she'd have murdered if she wasnt with Ian, but it seems like she was and would have been a more effective murderer than Ian. She was the one luring children and could keep her mouth shut. After that first murder it seemed that she was just emotionless and did whatever she liked. She's the kind of person who wouldn't go out of her way to do crime, but if she realized she could would take advantage of it for her benefit, adapting to whatever circumstance she found herself in.
I have a case suggestion! When I lived in Alaska, I think it was 2016-2017 ish, David Grundwald was killed by a group of teenagers over what I think was marijuana. They torched his truck and left it in the woods. He was found like a month or two after he went missing. And his killers are on trial currently and a couple of them have already been sentenced. It’s a lesser known case so a lot of people don’t hear about it but he was a wonderful young man and his story should be told.
Luka Rummens I live in Alaska now and it’s been all over the news. There’s also a case that happened earlier this year where a girl was found near some falls and a group of “friends” had taken her out there and from what I know they were basically saying “hey what if we pretended to tie you up and stuff” and they’d planned on killing her the whole time
This was probably the hardest case for me to get through, I’ve put it off for a while because child cases are hard, but when there’s so many children who went through so much. It’s heart breaking, utterly heartbreaking
At first I found it quite disappointing that they couldn’t get the death penalty but thinking about how Ian Brady was in solitary confinement for most of his life and never saw the woman he loved again I’m not that mad about it.
Charlie Smyth A much better punishment for him in my opinion is being bullied by other inmates and makes him feels like a bitch. Since he gets high on feeling like a god so being treated like he’s nothing would be a big blow to him. Death penalty is just too quick.
Just a little fact about the moors investigation. It certainly was slow and tedious indeed. Back when this happened, the way they would search to find any bodies in the moors (or elsewhere when able) was to use long sticks whilst walking around searching. They would use these sticks to poke into the ground and then they sniffed the end of the stick to see if they smelt any rotting/bad/off smell. As this was usually a sign of something under the ground whether it be animal or a body of course. Now ive no idea if Eleanor mentions this as i have yet to finish this video. If so im sorry. If not then hopefully its something new you have learnt. xx

“They wanted to commit the perfect murder”
“Brady told David that he had committed several murders.”
If you want to commit the perfect murder why would you tell someone????? This guy has such flawed logic???
Its his fatal flaw. He was a narcissist, who had to prove he is better than everyone. As Eleanor said he had a god complex.
Divided Loyalties chances are be he wouldnt have committed murder either.
Poe B. he thought that David would’ve helped him and Hindley hence why he told him and trained him the same way he did to his girlfriend.
Jess Horne I think it was the deal but they never held up there side.
I don't even understand why a court made any decision of that sort.
I dont know why, but the detail of John Kilbrides mother being able to identify him through hand sewn football buttons really upset me.

I feel sad for David Smith and his family. They experienced so much flack. I mean, he was an accessory, but even so, he outed Hindley and Brady, that surely counts for something doesn't it?
He's innocent in my eyes.
He was scared and so he complied. It’s honestly not his fault. I feel so horrible

Hey! The first rule about not getting caught in a murder, is not talking about not getting caught in a murder.
David situation is the real reason why ppl don't like to come forward. He was lured and put in a position to unwillingly help cover up a murder to save his own life and as soon as he could he went straight to the police. But got fked in the end for it. He did what anyone else in his position would've done.
ruclips.net/video/HsS6eC1GqwY/видео.html
And the fact that his reputation was so destroyed, that it even passed down to his children is so despicable!

I feel so sorry for Maureen Hindley and David Smith. They lost their daughter at 6 months, and she was tiny. I feel so sorry for them. A loss of a child is so tragic.
Rip to David and Maureen's child. Fly high, stay safe, and know that you're loved dearly! 🙏🏽🙏🏽👼👼
Does she have merch? So we can at least support her through that :/ I feel bad she got demonitized
she has a channel member thing where you pay for extra benefits and it helps her too 💜
Shiiiut. I'll help design it and find the wholesaler. She deserves it.
ngl I've been trying to find other true crime RUclipsrs to keep me entertained while Eleanor works so hard to pump out these videos, but no one compares. Literally, all the others I've found are nice, but they're just not as good as Eleanor
Hopefully Sunshine as much as I adore Eleanor you should give Stephanie Harlow a go. She has very detailed videos and a series on cults too
I’d highly highly recommend Georgia Marie
Check out Bailey Sarian! I really like how she tells these stories
Hopefully Sunshine same
Loey Lane is amazing!! ❤️
When being picky about your bread and jam saves your life
It makes me think if David hadn’t come along, would they have have continued killing and getting away with it? Creepy
No, she said he was done until David came around and didn’t believe that Ian was capable of murder.
When Eleanor has ads, you watch the damn ads
PREACH
I’ve got a question, this may sound stupid but I honestly don’t know how all the RUclips rules work, if you hit skip after the 5 seconds or whatever do they still receive the ad revenue or do they lose it? I always hit skip, but based on what the original comment was I think that might be financially hurting the people I actually care to support so I just got to wondering how that works.
pinkfluffydino (I could be totally wrong) I don’t think they get full revenue from the videos if we push skip. Watching the whole things is what helps them
Cheyenne Petersen good to know, thanks for responding!
YES
Honestly I'm glad Myra got more media attention than Ian. That probably pissed him off more than anything cause all he ever wanted was to prove he was better, but oop he isn't the center
i was watching you on my laptop and my mum was like “shes so pretty” 🥺❤️
My mom said the same hehe
@@ramu-silly I'm sorry but thats a 🚩 you got right there.
That's because your mum is not blind, how could anyone not adore Eleanor?
Can we all just stand up and slow clap for filming over 12 hours! 👏🏻👏🏻 loved this series, I’ve heard so much about the moors murders but I didn’t know hardly anything about it til now! Thanks so much for doing this for us! Love ya! Xx
They probably both agreed to never tell the police about Keith’s murder and where he was buried, so disgusting Ian got his dying wish but the innocent boys mum didn’t get hers.
I love having so many Ellie videos in a row! This case is new to me and I'm so happy to get such an in-depth analysis of it
Glad you're liking the series!!
Just finished cleaning and got the kids on bed and PING Eleanor time 😃
Hope you enjoy the vid!!

@Meg why wouldn't you recommend watching at night? 🤔
@@TheAlliejaynekav they probably mean bc it's a really disturbing case so it can be really scary to watch at night.
They went from „let’s commit a perfect murder and leave no evidence” to taking pictures and recording the murder sounds, wtf
Weirdly if Ian had kept his mouth shut they probably would have gotten away with it all. Thank God for David!
He kept thinking he was ‘perfect’ and that doing those things wouldn’t matter because he’s sooo smart
its kind of funny how myra was obsessed with ian for over 2 years, and once in prison she basically forgot about him whilst ian was risking his life just to see her
Shaema Honestly, Myra scares me more than Ian.
There’s also a case that happened earlier this year where a girl was found near some falls and a group of “friends” had taken her out there and from what I know they were basically saying “hey what if we pretended to tie you up and stuff” and they’d planned on killing her the whole time
How didn’t the gran hear any of this
she did but myra just told her to go back to bed
Probably deaf
she did
That was a big question at the time. Some people think they drugged her with something in her cocoa, for example.
a car was set on fire out on our street and my gran didn’t hear a damn thing
This was probably the hardest case for me to get through, I’ve put it off for a while because child cases are hard, but when there’s so many children who went through so much. It’s heart breaking, utterly heartbreaking
At first I found it quite disappointing that they couldn’t get the death penalty but thinking about how Ian Brady was in solitary confinement for most of his life and never saw the woman he loved again I’m not that mad about it.
Charlie Smyth did he even love ole girl ?
A Allen listen to how he made himself suffer to try and see Myra, starving himself and everything. He wasn’t affectionate but the cunt defo loved her
shauna or how he lost it when she was cheating
Joi Sienna exactly. He was a tapped guy but he definitely loved her
Charlie Smyth A much better punishment for him in my opinion is being bullied by other inmates and makes him feels like a bitch. Since he gets high on feeling like a god so being treated like he’s nothing would be a big blow to him. Death penalty is just too quick.
I was refreshing my feed for about 5 minutes waiting for this 🙏🏼 Your amazing ❤️
Lilly Higgins relatable ✌️
Just a little fact about the moors investigation. It certainly was slow and tedious indeed. Back when this happened, the way they would search to find any bodies in the moors (or elsewhere when able) was to use long sticks whilst walking around searching. They would use these sticks to poke into the ground and then they sniffed the end of the stick to see if they smelt any rotting/bad/off smell. As this was usually a sign of something under the ground whether it be animal or a body of course. Now ive no idea if Eleanor mentions this as i have yet to finish this video. If so im sorry. If not then hopefully its something new you have learnt. xx
Ohhhhh I never knew this. Imagine the one time you actually hit something dead and rotting, and sniff the stick and get smacked with smell 🤢
i love how her makeup has slowly progressed over the course of the videos
This was a fantastic series on this case, I learned some new things in this and I've researched this case to death
eleanor: “i’m gonna split this into 3 parts bc nobody wants to watch 3 hours of me”

rip puppet ): their dog should have gone to a better family.
@@amyy801 i made another comment about the victims first ofc but i just thought it was sad that the dog had to have such shit owners
I got this notification and screamed “yassss queeennn” in the middle of my living room... my 62 year old dad said “is that something lesbian?” (I’m lesbian😂)
lmfao precious
I love your dad for this ❤️
That’s so cute
He grew up in a world where barely, if any, people where open about being anything except straight. He is truly the most accepting “older man” I’ve ever been around. I have 5 siblings and 4 out of the 6 of us are apart of the lgbtq+ community!
That's weird
I love these charity shout-outs. As a 20 year old woman, I spent two months in a hospital going through 26 different surgeries. I can, indeed, confirm that, "Sometimes you need your mummy." Couldn't imagine going through that as a child.
Haha “ they looked in myras grandmothers room, they found her grandmother “ 😭😭
Why did i die at that 😂🤭
My grandma used to know Keith Bennet. She helped out at a flower shop on a market where he was regularly. These murders are so well known near Manchester ans Yorkshire.
Hannah Buckley wow! My grandma knew his mum!
Tommy was so intelligent to see through them, thank god he was okay
wasnt the only one .. ruclips.net/video/HsS6eC1GqwY/видео.html
i can’t imagine filming a murder video for 12 hours straight i have literally so much respect for you
“It’s science , science!” Absolutely got me, I don’t know why but I just about cried laughing
Nobody else seems to be talking about this, but thank God that Ian and Myra never had any children of their own. Who knows what could have happened, if they had not been killed as a child they may have grown up to be really messed up.
She always claims she didn’t see nothing 🙄 and she wasn’t there.
