Excellent video! Put in an order for one recently.. just got to building the exterior body assembly.. got a white one with red interior S-Drive 3.0i. can't wait to get it!!!!!
West German BMW I think the E89 30i is the best Z4, I think it just looks better, and the naturally aspirated i6 is just gorgeous sounding and performance, and it is a hardtop also.
More usable space in this new G29 Z4 281 litres and 310 litres in the previous E89 model... so I guess you take your pick on that one. Not exactly what the commentary said.
I love it’s updated interior but the exterior just doesn’t cut it. I love the older version sdrive with the metal folding roof. Canvas roof too much hassle to maintain
"Of course, we have new engines"... Where do you get your information from? The exact opposite is true. All three engines were taken over from the predecessor.
Correction sir... the previous generation Z4 came with the N46/N54/S54 engines found in all the E series chassis, there was never an F chassis Z4 so there was no basis for the new B series engine until 2019 when the Z4 was remade as the G29 with the B48 and B58 engines. So no, not a single bolt was taken from the predecessor E89 to the new G29. If you would like to check our work and that of BMW, simply look at the engine code in the previous gen E89 and compare it to the G29. Lastly, there are only 2 engine options in the G29, the B48 in the 30i and the B58 in the M40i, there is no third engine as of yet and won’t be unless they decide to make an S58 powered Z4M in the future.
Why did the folks on the east coast remove the letter "t" from words? "Buh'un" instead of button, heh heh. People make fun of the way we talk in the southeast, but we all have our regional idiosyncrasies. Oh, also, before I forget - y'all (just so you know I'm from the southeast :)).
@@BMWofFW No it does not. I have tried that and I could not get up any hill, trust me I have tried that. Had to sell the car as it was unusable. I'm not talking about 2" of snow here, I am 12" - 24+". Once it gets above 9" even the TT turns into a plow! and then its time to get the SUV out. The Z4 is a great car, but if BMW want to sell more in the north USA then need to give the option of AWD, if they can. Its a must around here!
Soft-top is better. Improved weight distribution and handling. You will save at least 100lbs which is used to reinforce other parts of the car. Soft top also removes all the mechanical components that sometimes break down. Better storage is also a plus!

Excellent Choice!
Geweldige auto geworden, nog 3 weekjes wachten en dan krjjg ik de mijne.😎
Nick is the man! Nice car... love the soft top.
Looks like a very nice car. I would love to have the six cylinder. Wish it would come with stick shift.
Europe only gets 335hp m40! but the dyno for the supra showed 370hp on an EU model
i want red soft top
Why the name "west German BMW"? Is there a special meaning behind or a story? Sounds really strange for a German.
Maybe a few golf clubs, but not the bag. I like the new Z4.
my mum is a fan of the z4 series, imma show her this.
@@BMWofFW I would've but I live Singapore. Got any clue when is it coming to the South East Asia?

First thing to remove is that WG crap .
Why put it on there ?

There's no 4-piston calipers brake for M sport package? It must be kidding...

So nice
10 minute video where 8 are dedicated to the soft top

@@BMWofFW I guess I'm a wordy nerd, hah. I have a 2013 Z4, so I was interested in the new features on the new model. Thanks for posting.
Big disadvantage with no AWD option....go for the TT its way better just for that!
@@BMWofFW Which renders it completely unusable for 6 months of the year in upstate NY, whereas the TT can be used year round. Horses for courses!

That's why I have an AWD X1. I just ordered the Z4. It will never see snow.@@3bluto
@@thomaswengler4261 Everywhere is snow here for 7 months of the year!
