    This is easily the best home aquarium I have ever seen. It's so simple and beautiful. What a complement to your room, too. Excellent work.

    Very clean design. I like the use of the tank turned upside down, a good insight to how you got better water flow.

    This is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for showing how you've set it up and how it works. It's given me a whole new dimension to consider when setting up my own tanks. You've done a wonderful job!

    I just wanted to say I love your tank. It's inspired me, and soon I'm going to be starting work on a (much smaller) stream setup of my own.

    This is a very nice construction. At the moment I am thinking a lot about a stream aquariums. I have had many aquariums before and have also been a half professional breeder of fish, shrimps and crayfish. I am thinking of a "double loop", where the water can circulate around. Like if you took this aquarium and split in in half with a piece of glass, and then let the water go around and around. Smooth corners, so the water does not halt. Filter behind the back and a black filter mat to stop adult fish from entering the filter compartment. One would find youngsters there though, so I guess an additional aquarium is needed.
    At the moment I have not decided on the fish, but I am truly thinking simple here, so Zebra-fish might actually be an option. Very well suited for fast flowing water. But there is also a small ruby nosed bard I consider. I also like plants, and some plants are really suited for having their roots in the water. But I would also like some Cryptocoryne species to be able to show the water flow and also to grow above water and get them to bloom. I would also like to give the fish some really shallow water, so if they breed, the youngsters might have a chance of surviving in the actual tank.
    Thank you for the inspiration. It is a work of art.

    This reminds me of old school fountain and pond designs made for rich people. Great job on an indoor setup. How does the plant survive with regular 70 watt lights?

    • @Skylabz604
      @Skylabz604 7 лет назад

      Yes, its much better than water jets. I would be interested to see a similar design going horizontal to the ceiling with different chambers and taler water falls... :) Only limited by our imagination at this point.

    Det här var ju ett riktigt spännande akvarium! Jag antar att fisken kan förflytta sig mellan dem olika sektionerna men det begränsar nog urvalet av fiskarter som kan förflytta sig på detta sätt... Inte ett dugg naturlig akvarium men är ju kul med designkar också så länge inte fisken blir lidande! Skitbra video också:=)

    • @aaaheim
      @aaaheim 7 лет назад

      Jag tänkte väl mer att det inte är så naturtroget med glasavdelare och uppochnervända akvarier. Det där med naturligt flöde är jag väl bekant med:)

      Hi Henrik, I would like to build something like this, but I am not looking to have a canister filter and pipings below the cabinets to manage the flows.
      I am trying to replicate what you are trying to do with something like this in this article www.fluvalaquatics.com/ca/explore/did-you-know/new-to-the-hobby/49-how-to-create-a-river-aquarium/#.WTPFlTOB0kj
      1. do you know if it will work as well?
      2. is there any way i can email you to discuss? i cannot seem to contact you via youtube.
      thanks

      I think less species is more, you can study their behaviour better when they aren't distracted by different species.

    Hei Henrik! Nydelig akvarie - herlig naturlig tverrsnitt av en elv! To ting jeg ble nysgjerrig på - i hvilken grad står monsteraen i vannet / er det en grad av akvaponi der? Og hvor sterk er pumpen / hvordan dimensjonerte du den til flowen du ville ha gjennom tanken? :-)

    Kikat på detta kar flera flera gånger tidigare, aldrig lagt märke till att du var svensk. Hörde det direkt på dialekten nu dock, haha... Älskar karet. Så simpelt och samtidigt udda! Det märks att du har ett öga för design... Definitivt en bra källa till inspiration; blir lika lockad varje gång att köra igång ett "flodkar". Har du några planer på att utveckla karet? Jag tänker i form av fisk, inredning, bakgrund osv.
    Keep up the good work!

    • @HampusHertzman
      @HampusHertzman 7 лет назад

      Mm, jag förstår! Det låter som en grym idé. Det finns många roliga sätt man kan skapa bakgrunder med hjälp av frigolit, värmepistol, cement, lite färg och en förseglande lack. Finns ju även de så kallade "Back to nature slimline". Även om karet har ett riktigt cleant och stilrent utseende så hade en smal/platt bakgrund längs bakrutan gjort sig riktigt bra tror jag. Men det är som sagt riktigt schysst som det är idag med... Intressant att det är fiskar du själv plockat i Thailand! Får man fråga när och hur detta gick till? Skickades de separat när du flög tillbaka till Sverige, eller hade du med dig dem själv? Jag ska till Singapore nu till våren och fiska, vore ju riktigt trevligt att plocka med sig lite fisk hem... Hehe, ett ständigt problem man har när det kommer till akvarier och idéer: platsen...

      Sure! henrik.lantz.hedstrom@gmail.com But there is really nothing to it, it’s just a pump under the aquarium and drilled holes in each end. :)
